Hello everyone! Not been on for a few days as have been all over the place! Saturday I was asked to take part in a Kickboxing presentation and Sunday Emily and me had our Kickboxing Gradings and we both passed thank goodness! Class on Monday felt hard as we were both soooo tired from the day before!

I ended up getting myself a new pair of trainers and a new bed, which is being delivered on Saturday. I had to go to the Dentists today just for a check up and casually asked about getting a mouth guard made as I always have problems with normal ones due to the fact that my Wisdom teeth haven't all grown and I must have a small mouth inside or something. No sooner had I said that, the guy was whipping up paste to take an imprint and it then dawned on me that I should have asked how much it would cost...I then got told to pick it up tomorrow...and was told it was costing £187 more than the £17 I had already paid. :( He had to fill in a tiny gap in a tooth so reckon they were probably gonna charge my £47 odd quid for that anyway but that still leaves a heck of a lot of money for the dam mouth guard.

I soooo need to get ebaying this weekend now to try and make some money back. I really do need one as I want to hopefully fight in the ring etc but just wasn't aware it would be so much.

It has been an expensive week as Emily has been busy every day. I have explained to her that for the rest of the hols, she will need to try and find cheaper things to do as I don't have the money...especially not now!

Glad we are almost half way through it. Next year I hope to put a little away ready for the summer hols, so that it won't be as much of a shock to the bank balance!

I am also feeling quite bad as I have just got back from Kickboxing class where I was chatting to an old friend I haven't seen in a long time. I was asking if he was gonna start coming to more classes as told him that out of all the classes I go to, the Wednesday one is my favourite class as I prefer it over the others. Nothing wrong with this I suppose but the best mate of one of the guys who runs my Monday class was sat close by so was worried he may have heard me say that and might tell my Monday Instructor. I have been attending Monday classes for the last 19 months and only back in March started going to a Wednesday and then a Thursday. I didn't mean it as anything against the instructors as people, just in the style of class it is. He is only 24 and might see it as if I was saying that I preferred the other instructors to him which is not what I meant at all! I will never forget the time when I mentioned to him about going along to Wednesday class as he kept saying I wouldn't like it, no one would talk to me etc as if he really didn't want me going and only going to his class but truth is I like their style of teaching more as I learn more of the techniques I want to know for fighting there. Really hope the guy tonight never heard me as don't want my Monday instructor to get funny which he can sometimes. I worry soooo much as don't ever like to upset anyone. Most people don't give two hoots but I am a little too emotional sometimes! :(

    Hi Donna

I wouldn't worry too much about the kick boxing guy. If he mentions it to you or acts funny, simply explain that it's the class you prefer, and not the instructor. You know what you mean, which is all that matters, so try not to feel guilty.

Ouch to the cost of the mouth guard

Thanks Emz! I know it is crazy but the instructor is a lot like that, no matter how much I think of him as an individual...bit childish really but he is still a young-un! I need to grow a pair and tell him how it is if he does start to act funny...confront him and see what gives! I just hate the thought that someone might think something before hearing the truth!

Yeah can't get over the cost of the mouth guard. Plan to check over the bank balance tomorrow to see what the deal is. It has been a very expensive month really but then knew it would be with School hols etc. I have also ordered Emily's birthday pressie a few months early as the pressie she wanted is exceptionally rare and very hard to get hold of as they don't make them anymore, nor sell them in the UK so managed to get one on ebay and can't believe my luck. She will be one happy lady in October and that is all that counts!

I hope to go through the cupboards on Saturday whilst waiting for the bed delivery, to do a food plan for the week and try and have a very low cost food shop for the week, that's the plan anyway! xxx

    Blimey you've been busy, Mrs!!!

I certainly wouldn't worry about that instructor. He sounds a little unprofessional - maybe still a little mature because of his age? I take it you pay for lessons - so are therefore entitled to spend your money where you like, especially if it helps you to achieve an ambition (albeit a slightly mad one lol). There! Pep talk / lecture over ;):p

Ouch to the gum shield cost. I've got caught out easily in the dentist before as well. It was casualy suggested i should have an x ray. Why i didn't think about cost i'll never know!!

Good luck with the food planning. I'm really failing with my food shopping at the mo'. I'm letting money run through my fingers that could be paying debts / bills 'cause i keep popping into shops and buying odds and ends 'cause they're on special. Next Friday will see the dawn of a new me!! :D

Hope the ebaying generates some funds images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR5Mk4D_kL-APiJXeosgAXMo1I95h94hXY_NbhPOqBcgVdJegORFCAIFw

Well I have decided to contact the British Dental Association about the Mouthguard incident so am awaiting a reply...if they agree with me I am going to take this further. But might try taking it further anyway!

I had to stick the dam thing on my emergency Credit Card as don't have enough in my Bank until payday next week. I am hoping to try and transfer it to the Virgin card if I can but think it may be a tight squeeze card balance money wise to do this so will have to have a looksy. I hardly have any money left in my account but this is due to buying Emily's birthday pressie early plus funding her summer holiday stuff! Next year will be soooo different as plan to put money away in advance!

School shirts on ebay finish today and I have told her she will have to use the same skirt as last year for now. Need to get shoes which are also on ebay but do need to get bag sorted and stationary too. Will leave a coat for now until starts to get a little bit colder as she never ever wears one! Teenagers! PE kit will just be whatever I can find for her at home...she has trackie bottoms already so just need a t-shirt and as she says that no one wears school t-shirt, I am giving up getting one for her!

Have a few bits for ebay selling to put on, so hope to do that tomorrow evening.

I also have a tin of loose change (smallish tin) so plan to take that into the money counting machine in town at some point. They have a special machine that just puts the money direct into your bank. Worth a shot! Am off to Asda soon for a few bits but will be a very small amount as trying to eat everything we have left here first! Jeez this is hard going! xxx

I did think you'd find brand new cheap enough, but didn't want to say in case you thought i was being rude!

A very worthwhile visit to Tescos today then ;)

Well I saved 65p by buying them from Tescos and at least I have them now rather than having to wait! :D Happy days!

Just got back from Kickboxing...boy did I work up a sweat! Managed to get my Blue Belt from my Grading the other day and as this was the first time Grading under a new school we got our belts for free! That has saved me £2.50 and also Emily didn't go tonight as was feeling shattered so saved another £4 there. I had wanted to work on the garden tomorrow but it has been peeing down here so that is a no no! Can't say I mind that much...it really does look horrendous but I really can't muster up the energy!

I will get taking pics of ebay stuff and listing some bits tomorrow to see if I can make any money...never know!
