I think everyone is thinking it through too much! Some berk at Excel has decided to finally test the water with a NPO, has chosen the wrong RK because they have no information anyway, and now it's all blown up in their face.

Say the NPO is granted and the keeper says "Ok I will give you all the information I can. I do not know who was driving that day but here is a list of "x" number of people who I allow to drive the vehicle"

Then you supply all the names from the electoral role register for the UK as, with 3rd party cover/driver other vehicle cover, they are all entiltled to drive your car. You leave your keys in the ignition just in case anyone of the possible 17 million drivers wish to use it.

Not at NPO hearing you don't ..you want the Judge on your side ,so you have to behave reasonably!

I know but just in case some readers actually thought it might be "a plan" ..it most certainly isn't :rotfl:

Has the NPO been granted? Did OP ask for costs?

It is posted here that it was struck out as the claimants (VCS) did not turn up ..their excuse was not knowing about the hearing!!!

"With respect Your Honour it was VCS who instigated this NPO hearing, for them to be unaware of the date and venue is somewhat less than credulous. May I be as bold to suggest they have, as the vernacular goes, "bottled it " :rotfl:

OP mysteriously disappeared from here and staunchly ignored advice to post on pepipoo...not sure what to make of that. So no knowledge on costs.
VCS are allegedly still going ahead with a claim against OP on 18th July , despite admitting that they "know" he was not the driver ...we will see...

Yes but OP got the hump as there were doubts cast from the very start ..so maybe he is genuine.
Informed sources posting here assure us that the hearing(s) are real...hence the update re the NPO failing..hoping that those same sources will be able to update on the actual claim if it goes ahead on the 18th.
