Morning all, a little ground frost here today. Nice and bright though and might get in the garden soon.

Lip_Stick - well done, nice little freebie.

Pork casserole is half made and I'll finish off in the oven topped with sliced potatoes which I'll griddle a little in olive oil.
Just toast and jam for breakfast.

Bought little bits yesterday and even picked up a few Xmas stocking fillers from M&S Outlet - a couple of thermal vests for Son which were being cleared @ £2.99 from original (silly) £15!!
    Food spends:
    2 x cakes @ 2 for £2 from M&S (went in to get free Percy Pigs from o2 Priority Moments) - £2
    3 x 500g tubs pitted prunes @ 85p from Sainsbury's (don't miss them if you like prunes) - £2.55
Tiger loaf @ 50p from Asda (also 40p flowers).
Schweppe's peppermint cordial @ 29p from Home Bargains.
    Total = £5.34

    Morning all

Lamb mince is out of the freezer so will definitely be meatballs tonight. which will make ds very happy. Won't be buying anything today. Trying to save money now lol. Getting my hair done next Wednesday and it's costing a fair bit. Have a dentist appointment this afternoon for a filling, not looking forward to that!

The topside will be going to mam's on Sunday, but not sure it'll be big enough to feed 4 adults and one 5 year old. Hopefully I'll get to keep it lol. If not I may have to order mum to get some black peppercorn sauce to go with it.

Edwardia - I'm good thx. Bet you're looking forward to your new bed!

Lynsey - that pork casserole sounds nice, especially the potatoes part. I feel I've got into a rut recently with dinners and need to do something a little different.

    Evening all.

Had a lovely tea, although would have tasted better if I'd not had a sore mouth from the dentist lol. Ds helped me make the meatballs. Decided to post a pic for once.

    No freezer movements today.
We are almost out of potatoes, no green veggies and no more peppers - have to shop soon.
For dinner we had HM wedges with honey roast gammon and roasted veggies - beetroot/orange pepper/red onions and white onion in olive oil, balsamic vinegar and demerara sugar.

    Lipstick that dinner looks yum.

Yesterday I used up 6 salsa sausages from the freezer to make meatballs, i had that today and yesterday, also bought a pack of chipolatas, which went into the freezer, I have decided to make a rolled stuffed turkey breast on Sunday wrapped In Bacon, I have a lot of turkey to use lol and it is taking up a lot of space in My meat drawer, I want to go to Costco this month to stock up on a variety of meat, so it needs eating, need to buy bacon, stuffing and potatoes. 10 meatballs went in the freezer also some tomato and spinach sauce for a later date.

    Hope everyone is o.k.

I bought some half price bertolli today and stuck it in the freezer.

I have now sussed that my waitrose started further reducing at 6pm, meat and ready meals and bread at 8pm

Anyone placed a bet on gh? I've done a fiver on 3 horses each way, I like a wee bet.

Evening all, hope all are well. Cold, cold here hailstones a minute ago.

Food today brekkie toast, lunch soup and dinner was pork chop, rice with stir fried veggies quick and simple.

Thanks for the bacon and egg pie recipe florenceem going to try that next week, if I can get cooking bacon from lidls, seems to be absent of late.
Good deal on the thermals lynsey.
    Lip-stick your dinner looks yummy.

Catch up soon everyone and take care.
  • Hi All

Not much in the way of freezer movements today although will have to shift a few things from outdoor freezer to indoor one soon I think!

Had scotch pancakes bought on reduced for breakfast, absolutely gorgeous! Rest of gammon joint that was cooked over the weekend for Easter for lunch - lasted us 5 days and for 2 people that's not bad at all.
DM had the reduced black pud tonight with bacon and I had last portion of batch cooked stirfry.

Took out chicken breast piece for DM's dinner tomorrow and 3 x southern fried chicken d/stick for myself.

Stay warm all - we had the cold snap with sleet here this afternoon as well. :( Will summer ever happen?!

Morning all. Have a day out at the park planned today, once we get ourselves into gear. Will have dinner there, just a sandwich or a sausage roll. Tea will be cod and parsley fish cakes with wedges and peas, which I'm actually looking forward to as not had a decent fish cake in a while.

Going to pop into Morrisons on the way home from park but will only be buying a few things for the fridge maybe. Going to try not be tempted by rubbish or freezer stuff.

    Morning all.
    Nice meal pics.

Spent just £2.49 yesterday and that included a large punnet of Strawberries from a small fruit shop.
Need milk today and hopefully some more of those cheap prunes. If I'm passing Lidl I'll pop in to get some onions as not going tomorrow.
I've had toast with jam on again. Hubby had a bacon sandwich with brown sauce - just what he fancied.
I'm out today, so took out a quiche for later. Hubby is actually finishing off the last 2 chipotle sausage (thank God).

In Home Bargains yesterday I bought some sachets of Kallo Orgainic (Edwardia) gravy granules (beef) for only 10p. They had chicken also for 19p. I should have bought more as handy little size.

I'm off to visit my Son next Wednesday, so I'll be missing for a while - back late Sunday. He's got a little time off, so take advantage of free hospitality. lol
