Breakfast today, toasted hot cross bun loaf for myself and Special K Red Berries for hubby. He rates the Alpro almond milk higher than the Blue Diamond one and likes the taste of the Alpro hazelnut milk even more. As long as it's approx £1 per litre he can have some.
Pasta bake later and snack the rest I think.
I'll probably try Sainsbury's later for reduced fruit and veg if passing.
I've not tried the Blue Diamond one but the Tesco Free From one is quite good. I've since switched to KoKo dairy free milk which has its base in coconut milk. Tesco usually have it on offer.0 -
Pasta bake went to pot last night, even though it was a ready meal I couldnt face eating after work, just so knackered.
Cellar at work looks like a ghost town due to the management needing to run everything down before we change suppliers in a couple of weeks - we took out all of the Ponte wines, started to (and eventually did) run out of Diet Pepsi, Gordon's gin, and even two types of champagne! Stock manager is loving it though as its stocktake day on Monday and theres not very much for him to count at all! :rotfl:
Have to share btw: two guys last night walked into the bar last minute before the show started, up to my till and they ordered drinks for their sixteen friends, some for pre show and some for interval, total was nearly £158  I had to print out the receipt for him and the whole bill was as long as my forearm!
Anyhoo back to my own business....pasta bake is staying in the fridge and will have it for lunch today instead. last night took out pack of bacon so DM is making a english breakfast but we'll have it for dinner instead because we're eccentric like that [for anyone who is a fan of Scrubs, we're having brinner!!]
will have to sort through and work out what ready meals I have for after work this week, and then try and meal plan around the rest. Will probably make stirfry again at some point this week, maybe Thursday since I'm off
Will go and look through the recipe index for a decent cake that uses plain flour as we have stores to be used up
Will be popping to T's tomorrow for easter eggs before the made rush next week, also need to get some bunny food and some other bits and pieces.0 -
I was bored so I made some graphics for the fridge/freezer0 -

Grocery Budget January £150/£175
Feb £150/0 -
Managed to do a bit of shuffling around with freezer and have meal planned for the week, think I can make four portions stirfry on Thursday for the long weekend of work
Got the two packs of Asda meat from outdoor freezer to indoor one, stirfry is going to be very meaty I think as theres four cuts of steak, 2 in each pack.
Took out pack of cheese and pack of meatballs, will have rice tomorrow night with them for a quick dinner whilst in front of the TV.
Also moved indoors another ready meal and some more butter so we dont have to be going in and out all week.
Also decided to have lamb steaks with parsnips, carrots, any other leftover veggies in fridge and some Aunt B's yorkshires on Thursday night , basically to use up food before it spoils.
raining here again, hope no ones out getting wet!0 -

Morning all.
gailey - the olive oil was from Home Bargains. They also do a 500ml bottle for £1.29 - Sun Grown label I think. The onions you mentioned on another thread for 39p kilo from Farmfoods are good value. Are they that price all the time??
I am doing well, but again my spends are only on food and hot and cold drinks and do NOT include household/toiletry items etc. But it is low as I'm using "stash" and will be low until the end of April.

zafiro1984 - I have some steak and kidney in the freezer, so perhaps a pie later in the week. Thanks for reminding me.
A few things I want rid of from the freezer this week and next weekend I'll do a good sort out.
Meals plans for the week include a stir fry, naan bread pizzas and hopefully that steak and kidney pie. Maybe a pork casserole if I can find cheap swede or perhaps a cottage pie.
Wishes to those suffering - take care.
Lynsey
Ohh home bargains other side of city but close to hubbys work he passes it.I think he can be trusted.
Farm foods was 1st shop we done there this year so no idea of permeant price was bag for 39p.
The 7.5kg bag maris piper for £3 are good value.
The milks was fab deal as is the wyke farm chedder for £1.50 each for big block extra mature:)

Morning all, hope all are well.
Gaelen - thanks, I'll check out that coconut based one.where you buying your almond milk from? hubby wants some.
£1 in Asda, the hazelnut one was on offer for £1 also.
Might pop into Asda today and get another litre. I'll have to drop down to litres or 2 pints also as hubby is not drinking much cows milk at the moment.
Might pop into Lidl also for some fruit. Pop into B&M's as they definitely have the chopped tomatoes on 4 tins for £1 - Home Bargains offer wasn't on!!
Just had toasted hot cross bun loaf for breakfast and probably an omelette later. Hubby will have another 2 Quorn sausages with eggs and beans - easy day.
NSD yesterday to start the week off.
Cold and breezy here, not a nice day - wrap up warm.
