Quick soft meal - been to the Dentist again. :(
The tooth he worked on is throbbing. :(
For dinner we had cottage pie with carrots, leeks, onions and spinach.
    Also made some muffins.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening all.

NSD's are over and spent £8.68 today and nothing needed until next week really. Only missing bacon, but on offer at Lidl from next Thursday, so if no bargains I'll wait until then.
Picked up a few bargains in Sainbury's tonight, potatoes, nectarines etc.
Never got to Morries as bought the onions in Farmfoods for 39p per kilo thanks to a post from gailey. Also got 2 x 1kg sugar there for £1.50.
I'll probably buy a few bits and bobs on Saturday and might do Morries then.
I put some bread and spring rolls in the freezer tonight, but the bread will be used up during the week. Not that much needed next week either, just fruit and veg and milk. Spread will be needed also and finished butter, but waiting for hubby's cholesterol results.
Haven't clue about tomorrow's meals yet, but possibly a cheese omelette for myself.

    Evening all !

OH came home early from work coughing and sneezing fit to bust. I've caught it from him, have sore throat and sneezing but not as bad (yet?).

NSD today but last night I bagged a navy marl 100% cotton crew neck jumper for £7 for OH in the sale to be collected from ASDA tomorrow.

Had Riverford small ham and leek tart each from freezer and shared a can of Heinz organic baked beans from cupboard as wanted comfort food. Can't remember last time I had baked beans !

Riverford coming tomorrow morning with more ham and leek tarts, homity pies and other goodies.

I'm tying to come in under budget every week so that I can do a freezer stock up every month or so but having difficulty finding offers.

Organic veg on the other hand seems to be a little easier to find in supermarkets now.

    Afternoon all, very quiet.

Toast and yogurt for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and minestrone soup for later (made this morning). Took out what I though was cooking bacon to add to minestrone only to find out it was chicken portions - cooked them and hubby had for lunch, so another space created. God knows when or where I got them from, but looks like another pack in there!! Or perhaps it's cooking bacon. lol

NSD today, nothing I want in Lidl tomorrow, so might try a few bargain shops after we visit M&S Outlet. I do need chopped tomatoes and Home Bargains have decent ones at 4 tins for £1 - if in stock.

Hi everyone, been doing well these last few weeks with using up freezer stock. Called in Morries this afternoon and managed to get peppered smoked mackerel fillets x2 reduced and beef steak mince reduced, have put these in freezer. Nothing else for freezer so very pleased with myself. Took sausage out for tonight's dinner.

Definitely not an NSD for me. I bagged a morning spot on Easter Saturday with Ocado, ordered Lofbergs coffee from Totally Swedish, received my Riverford order, adjusted Abel & Cole for Monday, and took advantage of Holland and Barrett's buy one get one half price with free delivery over £20. Didn't get to ASDA though as OH not well.

Lunch was lamb chops out of the freezer from Abel & Cole. Really lamby flavour but a tad chewy. Tonight we have YS organic brown trout from Waitrose out of the freezer cooked with tomatoes. olives, herbes de Provence, fennel and EV olive oil (Morrisons offer), in the oven. Just been watching Michael Portillo's railway journey along the Cote d'Azur on catch up so looking forward to truite a la provencale

Hoping the weather isn't too bad this weekend as hoping to get out there in the garden to tidy and go buy more seeds to grow. Got left over seeds for sweet peppers, Roma tomatoes, oregano, Batavia lettuce, Black Beauty aubergines and Traffic Lights bell peppers from 99p Stores and Poundland to start with.

If it gets really hot though my garden will just fry as much it is due South :(

Anyone else planning on growing anything this year ?

Freezer movements - in HM cake - out - cheese/onion pasties.
Dinner tonight - Mr F was given a frozen Sharw..ds meal - I think they are meant for one person. Anyway I cooked basmati rice and naan bread to make it enough for the two of us. Not something I would buy!
