Still only really buying in veg and dairy and the odd wholefood thing I'm replacing - though trying to go on and use other stuff up first before buying more of what I want ie especially in baking. Still not shopping in supermarkets now I've seen the vast range of stuff I can get from the org delivery co's for either free or 99p delivery and only £12.50 ish min spend :D

MNR - random question but have you come across any good Middle Eastern grocery shops anywhere between Tooting and Balham when you've been out walking?!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all to a cold start to the day here.

    4 x NSD's in a row completed. :j
It's a shame I need milk or I could have had a full week of NSD's as other bits could wait!! Not to worry, I've used bits, though not all out of the freezers.
So I'll get the milk, check out a few cheap shops and get some sugar, sweeteners and onions at least. Might try a "whoopsie" shop tonight, but not if it's freezing!!

Just toast today for breakfast, hubby is having sardinellas on toast (yuk).
Fish in batter for myself (frozen ready battered stuff), hubby is having salmon en croute - probably with h/m oven chips and peas and sweetcorn.

Morning all, sun shining but still cold, hoping for no more snow.

I'm working hard on producing casseroles and other ready made meals for the freezer. Should complete a drawer full by the end of today. Done steak and kidney with dumplings, or mushrooms, or pie. Done chicken with mustard, or southern coating, or casserole, the left over bits have been turned into chicken with ham in puff pastry or with cream and mushrooms to go on toast. The bones have been made into stock and then into soup-the dogs enjoyed the skin.
I'm aiming to get at least two months freezer meals ready. Once I've got a whole drawer full I'll have a go at puddings to freeze. Should use up flour and margarine I have in the fridge, muffins and other things to go with custard, I know I have frozen currants, strawberries blackberries plums and rose hips from last summer. Maybe a tea bread or two to use up some dried fruit. My imagination is starting to work overtime.

    Back to the mundane
    Lunch soup
Dinner chicken and ham in puff, bits I have leftover from yesterday

NSD yesterday but went to Waitrose today. Got a few ys things, some chicken fillets, pork mince and turkey mince which were on 3 for £10 and although they were reduced it also gave me the £2 discount for the offer as well :D

Chicken was used as well as two fajita kits (one last night for sauge sarnies cos we were hungry and had no bread ) and the other today for chicken fajitas. Still half a pack of tortillas left but they will get used.

Pheasant breasts out for tomorrow night's dinner (was supposed to be tonight but late lunch became early dinner so will just had salad or something later).

Pork mince will become meatballs and frozen and turkey mince will be frozen as burgers. Also got lamb steaks which I will freeze as well.

Used up some ready pastry out of freezer, thought it was puff but it was shortcrust. Made eccles cakes with some dried currents, spices butter and sugar. Now to think of something for after dinner. Will google condensed milk recipes as I've several tins of that- use it for making ice-cream but have no cream at the moment

Bought some milk today as we're running low.

Veggie hot dogs with YS hot dog rolls and potato wedges for dinner. Too hungry and tired to think of anything proper! And it uses up a bit of the stuff in the freezer :)
