Are you getting cold sweats Lynsey? Are your palms itching to spend?
It's not going to make much difference to me tbh, going to be skint both weeks lol. Up to you.
Lol, yes.
I'm going to do mine this week to get it out of the way, but just had a  moment.
Thought I'd do my Brother a favour and get him some Jaffa cakes to use the TCB app and I, well hubby forgot to pick up the receipt!!
So didn't mention it and £1 wasted!! Kept the Jaffa cakes though.
Still almost £6 left for the week and only milk and perhaps a few bananas needed really. £10 should be a cinch .................... unless Lidl have something unmissable ...................... or palms itch a bit more.
Only 5 days left after today.
2 mouse traps fully loaded, they are meddling with the wrong person. That's not me though, I'm terrified!!

Me too... I might do better making the week from yesterday to Saturday and making sure I don't venture near Asda on Saturday... or would that be cheating?
Poor mice btw, buy humane traps, they won't hurt you, or them lol. Found out my neighbour who was trapping the rats was drowning them. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Any suggestions on what to do with my big bag of Ikea frozen meatballs.
AKA Norse horse course. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Lip_Stick - yes, just do any 7 days that suit.
The traps - I would much rather I didn't have to use them at all and they lived happily ever after ....................... just somewhere else!!
Setting them free would mean a probable return??
Hopefully it was just the 5, we'll see.
Welsh Poppy - some good "snap and save" offers. Jaffa cakes (£1 in Morries and Iceland- so free), 4 pints of milk (£1 and 50p back), I'm sure Morries had the fish fingers at £1.25 (£1 back) and frozen chips etc. I'll be stocking up, but will have to wait until Sunday now.

Thank you all, well today we are going to have leftover lamb from yesterday stir fried with some veg and a jacket potato. I am off work this week so hopefully I can organise myself and freezer out. Will keep you posted, wish me luck.0

Oh dear - went shopping today (T's/A's/I's) and bought sooo much food. Quite a bit of it reduced though, wont need to set foot in a supermarket until end of March though I think.
OUT of freezer
pack of liver (ew)
IN freezer:
2 packs diced beef (going to make stir fries with it)
1 pack casserole beef
2 double packs bacon
2 packs sausages
Lots of ready meals
1 large pasta bake dish portioned into 4 using chinese tubs
Aunt Bs yorkshire puds
Chicken breasts
Chicken drumsticks
Arctic icecream roll
2 packs butter
1 pack cheese
bag breaded onion rings
And probably some other stuff that I cant remember right now!
Couldnt find kebab sticks so going to have diced chicken with chopped fried onions and some veggies tonight0 -
Food Challenge Idea:
'Pound-a-Day-for-a-Month'
£1 per day per person on food, for a month.
So, £30 per person in a typical month. Not limited to a maximum of £1 per day (now that would be interesting!) as long as the total for the month isn't more than £30.
Is that do-able, for any, some or a lot of you? I just thought it would be an interesting challenge to extend the '£10-for-a-week' idea over a longer period, and tighten up the budget too. Maybe see what people's experiences of how easy or difficult the '£10' challenge is first?
I'm up for it, anyway'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Evening all, frosty this morning but brighter and the sun was out this afternoon heard it's going to be -5 tonight will wait and see.
Food today was cereal for breakfast, egg sandwich for lunch everyone else pack lunches and dinner was pork chop, tatties and cauliflower cheese.
Lynsey hope that's the last of the mice, I would have thought they would have just come back aswell if you used a humane trap.
Gailey, chin up he's probably just frustrated just ignore it and remember you did your best. I get my child benefit weekly do you aswell, if so maybe you should allocate that as you'll get the same as me £47 for your shopping money every week and then take say £80 a month out the wages and keep that money seperate from all other expenses/bills, so then you always know you've got x amount for your shopping and if you spend less you could get stuff for your store cupboard or have a little tin where you could have a little bit of savings it would soon add up if you think that would work.
Jelly biactol, yes I would be up for that, I think I could manage that if I was organised as plenty in the cupboards and freezer still very well stocked.
Take care everyone and will catch up later or tomorrow :-) .0 -
