They wouldn't go in the bin here.

Do you really think they would be safe, think I would rather bin them to be on the safe side.

Florence, I did say that to the dentist but as it's the second from the front she said it's best to preserve it as much as possible. If it was a back one, not so bad to just whip it out. Plus, the cost of getting a bridge to replace it would probably match the cost of the root canal and cap.

:( Either way, KERCHING for them and purse-tightening-even-more for me.

  • gailey - some men are like that!

my late DD was never very healthy with regards to his meals.
He didnt moan like your DH (thank God) but I still remember as a little girl (about 10 yo) I made him a sandwich with salad in it with some soup for dinner when he got home from work - he moaned about lack of butter on the bread, the lack of ham in the sandwich, picked out all the salad and put it in the bin!
Whenever DM sent him shopping he'd buy so much carp it was ridiculous, he wasnt very savvy with shopping at all and didnt take much interest in bargains and the like (unlike my DM who is a convert to my way of thinking!)

Problem is these days that the supermarkets all charge such high prices that you can spend £60 in next to no time at all.
    *hugs*

Morning all, a little frosty here!!

squeakysue - welcome and good luck. Is that a little space I can see in that fridge?? lol

Easy NSD yesterday, so on track. Need milk later, but wish I could wait until tomorrow. I might try and wait and use some of hubby's Alpro in coffee. I do have to go out tomorrow, so see if I can stretch the milk out. Unless someone can lend me half a cup of milk. :D

Pasta bake was nice and went down better than expected. Still enough mini burgers for 2 more pasta bakes.

Sausage and mash today, with peas and sweetcorn.

gailey - are you having a hard time with hubby??
Did you buy a cucumber yesterday?? A large one??
Maybe we can have a competition to suggest where you stick it?? No lube either. :rotfl:

Thanks for the kind offer and I really could do with it. I must start freezing milk, even just an odd pint.
I tried the Alpro hazelnut milk and didn't like it, so off to Sainbury's it is later. Hope they have the Kleenex wipes in and might take the opportunity to get a few tins of potatoes for foodbank.
I'll get 50p off the TCB app, so will ease the pain a little. lol

    Morning all

Ds is getting his ears moulded today for his hearing aids. Should be fun. Will have to get dinner while I'm out too as it's at an awkward time so he'll be starving by the time we get out. Said I'd treat him to a knickerbocker glory lol. I imagine he won't eat much of it. Got told off by the school receptionist this morning when I rang, for not taking him in for his mark lol. Would have meant dad messing about though to drop him off at school then pick us up. Oh well.

Last night I had a sausage sandwich, not sure about my tea tonight.

Best scoot, gotta dry my hair!

They'll be fine. Just being in the freezer so long, some things can lose their taste a bit. Prawns have a habit of doing that.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
