No need to visit freezers today.
Dinner was roast chicken, HM potato wedges and salad - celery, red onion, white onion, pepper and sunflower seeds. As I write this - realised sous chef didn't get me a carrot from the garage - can't get the staff these days. :rotfl:

Evening all, hope all are well.

Finished the veggie week and not as good as it could have been, but due to trying to use up stuff I didn't want to eat just to clear space.
Loads of things I would liked to have eaten, but not enough time. A positive is, some stuff has vanished and hubby promises to get rid of the rest. I will eat the Quorn mince in a spag bol.
We will still have the odd veggie day and we did anyway, even if not planned.
No meat ate in a week, I wonder if we all managed to save at least one ....................... horse? :D

Ended up spending £7.86 yesterday and £3.75 today (check Sainsbury's for ice creams reduced by approx 75%).

Had minestrone today (with bacon) and almost a veggie day.
    Just snacked the rest.
Put loads of tea cakes and fruit loaf in the G Spots (all reduced), but breakfasts sorted for quite a while.

    Jan spends were £58.38
    Feb so far are £42.17

Not much needed this week apart from cheese (Sainsbury's offer OOS, try tomorrow), potatoes and bread. Milk later in the week and any cheap veg.

Pancake Day on Tuesday - anyone excited??

Minestrone again tomorrow for myself, hubby is having liver and onions.

I've got loads of Green's pancake mixes (with golden syrup) to use up. Gave loads to foodbank also.

They were only 10p a box (50p minus 40p coupon).
Lemon juice and sugar for me. The golden syrup will be used elsewhere.
