I am trying to use 1 or 2 items from the small freezer daily - 1 drawer at a time, also trying to avoid supermarkets until I NEED milk or bread, and then visit in the morning before they reduce items!!!:)

Morning all, I have been trying to do this for a while, when I go shopping I make a note of what is in the cupboard first and work out which meals this allows for and then what else I need, I only have a tiny freezer- 2 and a half drawers at the bottom of the fridge for 2ad and 2ch but its always full - I'm another one of broken drawer sydrome from trying to fit everything in, I freeze any leftover portions so there's one drawer just full of leftovers -curries, corned beef stew, casseroles etc. Tonight will be a 'party' tea so this will use up pork in bbq sauce, the pizza and indian and chinese nibbles. Tomorrow will be Sausage casserole with the two different lots of sausages in the freezer.

    Hi all!
I shopped yesterday-lots of primark clothes (all less than half price except for £1.50 for a sunhat) for DD. Managed foodwise to only get milk, cream crackers(DD's had them in her packed lunch for the last 2 weeks-strange child!), part baked baguettes to have with HM soup and a whoopsied waitrose quiche to try and squeeze into the freezer!!
I'm going to mealplan today for the next couple of weeks trying to base every main meal around the freezer contents and some of my lunches too-theres lots of weight watchers meals in the outside one.
Will do a cupboard stocktake too-think I'll need some chopped tomatoes but that should be it. Going to the veg stall in the market today for onions and carrots and fruit but apart from bread I'm hoping that'll be it for a few days.
Major problem tomorrow is that DD has a 3 hour rehersal next to the biggest M&S and asda for miles around and my friend and I will have 3 hours to kill!!
I wonder what it is that makes us fill our cupboards like this. I know that I am a comfort eater and get a lot of pleasure out of shopping, cooking and eating but do I really need to have enough food for several months??!!!
    July grocery- 24.40/220. NSD-1/3.
Myself, DD, 2 cats, 35 weeks pregnant.
    Debts- CC's- V-775, F-1253.10, BC-3291.80, T-1429.08. Total-6748.98. All 0%. Aim- to pay £200 per month.
