Hi all i don't think i've posted in a few days maybe a week.
anyway in-
freezer-2 bags of frozen brocolli, and a bag of mixed veg.
cupboards- about 80 assorted tins, few bags pf spagetti and some seasoning (don't judge me tesco sent me a code and i'm trying to do this year as cheap as possible so stocking up seemed like a good idea)
out-chicken fillets, mince x2, mixed veg, 2 jars pasta sauce, instant mash, fish.
I havent made much of a dent in the freezer and i'm getting to the i can't be bothered to make tea stage but i'll push threw it and remeber all the money i'm savings, tomorrows play is beans on toast and scrambled egg for breakfast, spag bol for lunch using leftovers and pizza and garlic bread for dinner all from stuff we have in/leftovers.DEC GC £463.67/£450
EF- £110/COLOR]/£10000 -
Just added spends up so far this year:
£22.77
of which £22.08 on fruit and veg
and 69p on food (£6.20 - £5.51 points/vouchers)
so feel fairly pleased with that.
Teacake for breakfast
Had more 'xmas snacks' for lunch
Bit of a using up thing for dinner - the Stilton from the hamper, quite a lot of rocket and some peppers in oil I had in the fridge - mixed in with pasta and worked better than expected!
Welcome Jelly0 -
Evening all. Spent a couple of quid today on milk, and a couple of whoopsies. Got some muffins for 20p and apple juice for 49p. For tea we had fish and chips from the freezer and a tin of mushy peas.
Planning on taking ds to kid's club at the cinema tomorrow, not sure what we'll see but there's a few films on that we could watch. Really wanted to watch The Hobbit, but it's 3d, and 3d films are starting to annoy me lol. Hoping it'll end up on kid's club at some point, or at least 2d.
Will eat out for lunch at pizza hut as they've a half price offer so we should eat for about a fiver, which includes the salad. Won't buy drinks there as it'll double the bill lol.
Jelly Biactol - Hi there... interested to know what these weird goodies you've amassed!
Nice to see you again quintwins.
Welsh Poppy, hope you didn't sneeze too loud and scare the wee pup lol.
Lynsey - just think how much you'd save if you didn't have that morning cuppa.
Jane thanks for the recipe! I've just discovered recently, I love cumin.
zafiro1984 - hope the dog recovers ok... but bet he has a great life and wouldn't want it any other way lol. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning all.... are you lazy lot still in bed???? Wake up!
Ds decided to drag me out of bed farrrrrrrr too early. Felt shattered. Off to the pictures shortly, will need to visit home bargains on the way for pop corn and drinks.
Might treat myself to a new handbag today, although handbag shopping and ds, won't exactly mix.
Going to have egg muffins for tea I think. Was supposed to be having them for brekkie but wasn't hungry enough.
Anyway, have a good day all. Let's hope this snow holds off!... well I don't mind it snowing on Sunday, as long as it's gone by Monday morning. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. Jelly Biactol - welcome and good luck. Can I have your freezer space??
Actually, freezer space is improving and took out a liver and bacon ready meal for hubby. I'll just be going with the flow today and trying hard to get rid of more biccies.
Spent 54p last night on chicken noodle teriyaki salad meal (30p) and a pack of 6 scone (24p).
No Lidl today and could easily be a NSD, unless I visit the cheap shops.
Got my new phone contract and on 02, so need to read up on apps and have a look at 02 Moments thingy. I will use it on a M&S meal offer when it's available and I fathom out how to suss it!!
2013 food spends so far = £14.77.
No spend days and low spend days are the way to reduce costs.
Wishes to all, hope all are well and blessings to the dogs who are suffering. zafiro1984, that sounds horrible.
No snow here yet, but sky looked full this morning early on. Clearing a bit now though and mild.

Thanks lip stick, dog feeling very sorry for himself, going to leave him indoors today and see how he is at lunchtime.
Has anyone got experience of food dehydrators. I'm tempted, but would value any independent opinions before splashing out. I 'm looking at the one by Lakeland, thanks0 -
Ha ha lipstick still in bed, i've been up since 6.15 as oh brother here and oh was moaning come on get up, he's up and will be needing tea. I said i'll get up in a minute, no get up now was his reply. I am sure he knows where the kettle is !! not a good idea to annoy me first thing in the morning, i like to go at my own speed.
I made them all a cooked breakfast at about 9.00, lunch will be soup and dinner i don't know as forgot to take something out this morning, oh just thought i have aldi finest aa burgers so may have them will wait and see.
Lynsey, your terrible.
Had a flurry of snow here and it's cold, hope that's it but there saying were going to get more this evening hope not. Stay warm everyone and have a lovely day. Catch up later.0 -

Hi everyone ! Went to Budgens, M&S and Sainsbury's with my mother yesterday.
Spotted medium organic free range eggs from local farmer 1.80 in Budgens (same size 1.99 in M&S). Got 20 organic green teabags in M&S for 99p. Could have gotten YS organic apples in Sainsbury's but as OH hasn't finished ones I got before I didn't. Did find the elusive 4 Sainsbury's SO organic wholemeal rolls for £1 and found an organic fresh-baked baguette 90p. Much smaller than the Waitrose one 9p dearer and looks smaller than the Tesco one same price. Sainsbury's organic bananas much cheaper than Ocado, Waitrose and even ASDA
NSD but OH has gone down town centre to pick up kitchen towels (6 for 99p at 99p Stores), Winalot (2 for £1 at Poundland) and hopefully some Nature and More organic Heirloom cherry tomatoes from Lidl.
We've got Daylesford chicken legs for dinner not sure what we're doing with them yet. OH got a Hampshire Game pheasant (Abel & Cole offer) out of the freezer for Sunday. There was a leftover portion of pot au feu Thursday so that's going in with the pheasant as stock to make a kind of casserole. Real winter food
Hope you're all warm and well xx0
