Lipstick - have a look at this twitter feed :D

It's a satirical look on the JC, so funny

That's hilarious! Notice the odd person thinking they're the real JC+, although certain things said could almost be true.. such as:-

'Purpose of the Jobcentre is not to find you a job. Its new mandate is to remove your benefits. Ask at JCP for more details.' :D
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Edwardia - I really feel for you, pets are like children, but think how he feels. He knows it's wrong to poo and pee in the house, so he will be upset by what he is doing even though he can't help it. He could be upset or miserable by the atmosphere, dogs are very sensitive to how their owners react. It's hard, but you have to put him first. Sorry to be so blunt, please don't take offence as I have every sympathy for you.

    Breakfast - fruit as usual
Lunch - toast with a veg topping
Tea - stew for DH, I may have a bit or I'll do some form of pasta and sauce probably with prawns.

DH has gone off cereal for breakfast so I had a 4pt plastic bottle in the fridge unopened. Neither of us take tea or coffee with milk so I thought it had gone off as it had been there for nearly a week. So this morning I opened it to throw it away but surprise surprise it was ok. I couldn't freeze it as it had already been frozen so I now have a very very large rice pudding doing in the slow cooker. Hope rice pudding freezes ok. LOL:rotfl:

OH used to breed German Shepherds years ago when he lived in the back of beyond and he looked over dawg tonight and thinks the way to go is to monitor dawg closely and spoil him even more. He says we could try him on arthritis drugs and painkillers but that wouldn't cure the near blindness, the incontinence and the anxiety - dawg being down makes me feel down too. Dog seems brighter today though. Just thinking about him not being here is making me feel like crying.

Welsh Poppy suggest you point Mr WP in direction of Silvermans www.silvermans.co.uk which has loads of survival gear. OH and I have both used it before very good service.

Rice pudding cooked in an Aga..reminds me of my childhood.

I have loads of veg left but not much in freezer yet. Dinner may be ham, egg and chips (potato for OH swede for me)

    Evening all.
Stuffed, portions were too big tonight at Italians and we both left a bit!!

NSD's over, but only just. Spent 53p on 2 lots of 4 pick 'n' mix bread rolls from Morries @ 19p per pack and a tub or clotted cream for 15p.
Cream with apple crumbles tomorrow. 4 rolls in freezer for later or weekend.
Loads of pies/pasties/sausage rolls reduced, but walked away and left them this time.

re insurance - not a word of a lie and the Gospel truth, but 2 lots of insurance advertising junk came with the post today!!
Do you think the NHS have tipped anyone off?? lol

Jane - hubby's levels are/were 7.9 and they said they would have went for diet and exercise if it had been nearer 6.5. Because it's high, they think it's genetic.

Lip_Stick - yes, you'll need thermals - that's why I let you know about the La Senza sale. lol :p

    2013 spends so far = £11.70 ...................... and quite a few NSD's ...................... aren't I getting good. :D

That's because I need very little and I've got my "£60 monthly max" head on. I'm still actually scared to let the leash off and do a spend and not too sure when I will. Last year efforts have left a mark I suppose, but after March I will start to buy some nicer things .................. just NOT at full price. lol
I need to get rid of some "unwanted" items like the Quorn sausages (hubby will have a couple at a time with mash), some chipotle sausages need rid of and quite a bit of salmon. A pack of vol-au-vent cases and 2 tubs of ice cream. That's mainly the stuff I want rid of and that alone will create approx 1 free freezer drawer.
NSD's and low spend days are the "key". Just buy bits to make meals with what I have ....................... simple isn't it?? :D

At least I'll get a chance to use the snow shovel!! Well hubby will. lol
I'm dreading it and loving the mild weather at the moment.

Bacon butty for breakfast, hubby will have bacon, egg and black pudding again.
Beef dinner later, I'm boiling the beef in the pressure cooker first, then browning in wok and then roasting - worked well last time.

    Coffee time.

  • Morning all!

Lynsey - 7.9 is a bit scarey high!

Have just had a bacon roll for breakfast. I made home made naan bread yesterday which turned out lovely, but there was loads of dough so I made half into rolls.

    Bacon rolls for the others for breakfast;

Lunch will be cottage cheese salad for me and sandwich for others, Dinner will be chicken thighs, home made "tater tots" and brocolli and cauliflower - might do a bit of cheese sauce for the cauli as I have a load of sachets of cheese sauce which I got reduced last year.

The lamb curry last night was fab, but there was too much so that has gone into the freezer - adding lentils to the curry was a real hit - it thickened the sauce and made it taste really nice. I used a Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall recipe and it was lovely.

Have got a meeting at DD's school today becuase she is always late - I am dreading it but she isn't even a bit bothered!
