Thanks for all the well wishes guys, my back is feeling better, not all the way but an improvement, have only taken 2 pain killers in 2 days, need to crawl to the bank to check my bank account see if i have finally been paid, i dont trust online banking lol.

Kirri, thats the reason i refused to go on jsa, i was on it for 8 months in 2005 and found it really demoralising, when i got made redundant i refused to go back on it, i have struggled a bit at times, but things are getting better :) a bit of work is coming in slowly.

To all those thinking of gammon and pineapple salsa for tea lol, please make your own, i ate the gammon but the salsa was horrendous! good idea though.

Yup my neighbor is a sweetheart, they are entreprenuers as well, basically i think they see i'm really trying, they always encourage me and the guy gary, he is so lovely, if i am in the shop when he is, he always gives me a freebie, the wife always give me a discount, they have a daughter my age, they see me a lot in the high street or sitting at my desk at home, which faces the garden/car park, so they always comment how busy i am lol.

woke up an hour ago, was on the phone to my little cousin until 6am, she is at uni in her final year, i text her at 1am to see if she was o.k she text me back dyyyyyying! so i got worried, turns out she was exaggerating because she had an assignment deadline today and was in the 24 hour library, so i sent her a few texts of encouragement, thankfully she got it done! so at 4am she called me sall happy and we had a chat, which is fine as i have insomnia, i did have to ban her from calling me after 12am one time because she was doing it far too regularly! shes 20 i'm 30 and we are closer than her and any of her sisters, go figure.

Back on topic lol having the pie today with boiled potatoes and mr w mixed veg, might have a cup a soup using my christmas pressie a new kettle i requested lol.

    Welcome all the newbies!

I'm procrastinating, have 3 user reviews to review but im on here lol!

Welsh poppy well done on your weight loss, im off to adjust my sig, you have motivated me!

Kirri, i feel sorry for you having to go on that work programme an absolute waste of time.

Yes, no useful help at all, it's all so basic - in the list of work skills we had to select, they had things like 'good hygiene/cleanliness'! Unbelievable.

Lol. Was speaking to the woman about a payment I'd had a week early. I was joking saying I thought it was a Christmas bonus. She replied 'We're not that I nice', and I said 'I know!'. It was one of those things you instantly regret saying lol. Not going to be on the good side of her.

Lol, they seem to have a sense of humour bypass to work there, some are just really horrible! I commented the other month that it was probably easier to win a TV than get a job, that didn't go down well either!

Don't blame you, and good news you have work coming in - the JC cause more stress and misery than the lack of money I find.. I hate the constant pressure when under enough pressure already. Am going to try and risk signing off I think, if I can get even a few days agency work, if I can even get that, though lose my mortgage payment cover if so and run risk I may not be able to cover that if I don't get enough/any days. It's all a bit

I've used up the remains of my cheese truckle win for lunch - was a bit mouldy so scraped that off, too expensive to waste even if it was free! Bread had a bit of mould on too so cut that off and toasted it with the cheese on top. Nice mouldy lunch lol. Borrowed a bit of greenery and a couple of toms from the pets' box to liven it up.
  • Kirri, seriously they are bad, i remember back when i was on it, i refused to talk to my family and friends for a whole week, took no calls, only gave in when my aunt sent my friend around, even then i didnt answer, only answered because i could hear my friend saying to my aunt lets call the police! lol i'm not sure if it was a kind of depression? never ever let myself feel that bad about things again, for that whole week, all i did was clean and re clean and stretch the little pasta and tuna i had!

I did get a job after 8 months, it was through a agency and i kept that job up until last year redundancy! no matter how bad it was i stuck it out and it was BAD!

Good luck hun, would you consider a ft job through an agency? might be better than not being able to pay the mortgage that would be way more stressful than the silly jc pressuring you.

I'm still procrastinating! lol and one of the companies still have not paid me, even though they said they would on thursday grrrr, if its not in tomorrow i will e-mail them, at least i got out and my back is feeeling waaaaaay better, need to weigh myself and start daily walks like you guys :) no running though!

    Hi All,
Just done an online shop from Mr A, mainly for fruit and veg, fresh and frozen, hopefully it should last a good couple of weeks. Still loads of stuff in freezer No 1.

Breakfast fresh fruit, clementines and a pear
Lunch, pasta with HM pesto sauce, DH had soup
Tea, probably a couple of slices of toast with sweet onion, olive, tom, pepper and anchovy topping. DH salmon and pots with beans, apple pie & custard for afters, apart from the pots and custard everything is out of the freezer. I'm determined to make inroads into my overstocking.

Welsh Poppy - I walked Snowdon five times as a kid with my parents. We did The Miner's Track and The Pyg Track - the latter one got a bit steep n scary. www.walkupsnowdon.co.uk has maps, routes and training tips. Good luck, it's an amazing feeling when you get up there !

(((Kirri))) and (((Ms_Night_Ryder))) I had short periods of unemployment when younger and it's really demoralising.

As a college student living at home I got nothing but my father though wealthy expected me to contribute so for two years though full time in college, I did agency work - clerical, telephony, waitressing, food packing, factory stuff even loo attendant at a classical music outdoor concert thing and directing cars at big outdoor events. It can be really tiring and the pay isn't great but it may pay better than JSA.

NSD for me. OH away atm and feel down. Dog pooed all over new bed and kitchen floor and walked all over it and lake of pee under his bed. I really don't want to have him put down but can't handle the double incontinence. He doesn't want to go out for a walk because he doesn't see well and it's a fight to get him out of his bed. Going to cost nearly £120 to have him put down and cremated. Feel really upset about doing it. Only bought his new bed Christmas Eve as well (£56). Looks like we'll do it next week when OH can get a day off. He just sits in bed looking miserable, he can't manage even one step up well now some days and seems to be going blind in one eye.

found 2 adult portions of sausage casserole and one beef casserole that will split between kids in the freezer. Also found four sausages so will do those and add to kids meal for tomorrow - maybe also some root veg mash if there is not enough between them. Freezer - we will rotate and win the war!! lol :)
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Had the pie, I don't like red wine and i have never had venison, worked myself up googling it and was hesitant, i shouldn't have been, best pie I've had in ages yummy :) like so good I will buy another this week, it was really deep and loads of filling. Didn't have anything with it, the bag of veg looked horrible, but i didn't need it, the pie was big enough.

Well managed to use up 1/2 jar jalapenos that have been lurking in the back of the fridge last night. Used one of the mexican enchilada kits from AP for tea - was nice, didn't make enchilada just fajita mince with a bit of lettuce, jalapeno, cheese, salsa and soured cream sauce...delish and even better the whole meal cost about £1 for the entre family
