Hi all, went away over night so have just come back just wanted to say Happy New Year. It can only be better than this last year I have had with a family bereavement and other things, onwards and upwards. All the best for 2013 xxx.0

Hello all and happy new year!
I'm back and determined to spend as little as possible and eat what we have. We have a freezer full of food at the moment as we have a tonne of leftovers which at the time, through being so full and bloated, I was tempted to throw in the moment. I am so glad I didn't listen to the devil on my shoulder and listened to the voice of "you'll be grateful for all this food in the freezer after Christmas". That voice was right and I froze everything, so tonight, it's a roast dinner, everything from the freezer and I am looking forward to it!
And there was me thinking I'd never want another roast dinner come Boxing Day :rotfl::T Mummy to 1. Devoted wife. Christmas addict! Life lover. Thrifter & Crafter. OU Student :T0 -
Happy New Year one and all, hope you poorlies are getting over it.
Lynsey - I have to scan my MS receipts (and I keep them too) so this year I will scan ALL of them so I can keep a check on spend, something I have not been doing but will this year, so they are at least in one place and not hanging around all over.
Once again, healthy and happy 2013.0 -
Happy New Year!
Well, today I'm having cottage pie ready meal with veg lol. How pathetic for New Year! If I'd have know this was going to happen I'd have got something decent out the freezer and bought some nice veggies etc, but had already got the ready meal out.
Hope mam burns her lamb! lolThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning all. Hope all with ailments are better or getting better and those bad with the drink ................................... then tough luck.Lynsey - I have to scan my MS receipts (and I keep them too) so this year I will scan ALL of them so I can keep a check on spend,
No way Jose, just chill time now. I'll still be frugal, but no "Big Brother" watching over me.
I will have a general idea, maybe note weekly food spends, but not religiously counting every penny!!Hope mam burns her lamb! lol
Hope I don't burn mine. lol
Popped it in earlier and slow roasting on 150'ish for 5 hours'ish.
Finishing off most of veg, so on list for the week..............
...................... but starting with a NSD. :j
I'm going to ceremoniously dump my sig as all over now.
Good luck all in 2013, I actually feel positive about it.
A few kicks in 2012, especially early on lingering from 2011, but behind now and moving forward.
Son has finally had luck in the 2nd half of 2012, since he got that car really and hoping he takes massive leaps forward this year also - he so deserves it after a few kicks also which are way behind him now.
To another frugal year. :money:

^ I think those closest to us think they can say/do what they want, families/parents can be the worst, think they forget they can't control grown up children or if they spoke to people they didn't know that well the same way they would soon find out they shouldn't do it, stressed or not! I felt much the same way before Christmas!
Lynsey - it's not the same without your sig!
Was hoping to start the NY feeling better, after an xmas on antibiotics but still feel crap. Will have to go shopping tomorrow for veg though, no need for anything else this month though.0 -

Absolutely, you do need one - massive savings to be had with coupons. L'Oreal alone would have more than paid for your printer last year!!
I recommend Epson as cheap copy cartridges are readily available.
BTW - L'Oreal shampoo's and conditioners (large 400ml) are £1.99 in Boot's, so only 49p with £1.50 L'Oreal coupon.
