Is everyone feeling better? I am still feeling rough as a dog! Mentioned in the other thread that I barely got anything from ASDA for cheap. Tonight for tea is Salmon & Broccoli, with coconut rice pudding which I made yesterday. Early night for me as I still feel so poorly. Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt!0

Oh ASDA have Heinz soup, Batchlors Pasta Mix and other such things for 50p. Stocked up on Heinz Chedder Beans and Garlic Beans to add something different to my Sausage and Bean casserole! Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt!0

Well tomorrow it's just going to be myself and ds. Dad came round with ds' toys and clothes that he'd been sent with by mum. Mum had lied about what she'd said to me, despite me hearing her saying it 3 times. Apparently after visiting me he went to my sister who had also got a mouthful last night from mum, and said to her to not bother coming round tomorrow, or sunday, or ever. He said to me he's being punished by it all, but he's let her get away with her selfishness for far too long. Oh well. Great new year this is, but it's quite common as mum goes nuts when she's stressed lol.
Not sure what I'm going to have to eat tomorrow. Hope mam enjoys the left over lamb lol.
Glad you're feeling a bit better quintwins.
Kitty_Ears - Never seen garlic or cheddar beans. Mind you, glad of the latter as I hate cheesy beans, despite being a cheese lover! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Evening all, went and bought a couple of "whoopsies" from Sainsbury's to end the year.
Spent £1.48 on 2 x liver, bacon and mash ready meals for hubby @ 49p each and a pack of mince pies @ 50p half-price.
Days spends = ££2.08
"And now, the end is here, and so I face the final curtain"
Annual breakdown
Weeks 1-6 = £87.74
Weeks 7-12 = £126.69
Weeks 13-18 = £165.57
Weeks 19-24 = £113.86
Weeks 25-30 = £130.98
Weeks 31-36 = £136.14
Weeks 37-42 = £169.08
Weeks 43-48 = £114.46
Weeks 49-52 = £109.81
30/31 December = £5.89 (last 2 days over full 52 weeks)
Annual total = £1160.22
52 weeks average = £22.31
50 weeks average = £23.21 (taking into account 2 weeks on holiday)
Averaged over full week and not the 2 extra day, so a tad higher. lol
Highest week - week 15 @ £46.50 and only week over £40.
4 weeks under £10 - not including holidays.
I also completed an under £60 for 4 weeks budget.
Cupboards and freezers started full and very little change, cupboards probably fuller.
So it's all over and well worth doing despite early panic attacks and nearly chucking it in twice.
Thanks to you Guys for helping and supporting, especially in the early days. The fun and camaraderie have been great.
I looking forward to watching others now with annual spends - good luck to all.
Have a great evening all, hope it's been a great 2012 and 2013 is even better.

Have a look in your asda! I swear Heinz did them years ago and now they have released them again, my Mum said they were lovely so I'm going to give them ago. I havent tried the garlic ones but I love anything with garlic in! Despite me moaning about the state of my pantry yesterday, when ASDA have 50p Heinz beans/soup/spaghetti I always stock up. Now I'm working full time, theres something comforting about Heinz Soup at lunchtime. Like a hug from your Mum!Now I am employed, lets get rid of this student debt!0 -
I used to buy Heinz stuff for OH to take to work because it's supposed to have no artificial flavourings, colourings or preservatives. Then I was checking the carb content on their website and discovered that although Heinz spaghetti is marketed at kids it now has glucose-fructose syrup in it which is made from maize (corn) and processed to make it waay sweeter than sugar. Two years ago it was banned in the EU, now it can be used and manufacturers are sneaking it in because it's cheaper than sugar. It's not natural at all.
I will only buy OH the organic Heinz soup and baked beans now.0
