I think I have a problem. The ex gave me a few quid to buy a comic for ds on Thursday. Of course I went to Asda on the way home from picking ds up at school and spent about £10 on whoopsies. I just can't help myself.
Now, it's the start of the month and I refuse to buy anything for the freezer, I promise!! I have loads of decent meat that needs using up.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning.
Got back late last night, so had to pop out this morning to local shop for milk - that's £1.45 spent already out of Oct budget.........only £1 in Lidl. lol
Teacakes out of freezer (toast for breakfast) and will make some minestrone later (easy day). Got some 10p veg from ASDA before I went away and will use up the next few days (carrots, celery and cabbage).
I feel October may be a struggle (need olive oil, sea salt etc), but away on hols on 30th Oct, so shortened month. Got loads of bread and teacakes in freezer to last a week or so.

Hello all,
Spent £50ish at sainsburys on friday, the pasta there is down to 18p a bag so decided to stock up.
Need to get a joint for todays dinner, then i'm going to see if i can live out the freezer for the rest of the month save for milk, veg and bread.
Breakfast was a bagel out the freezer. Not sure what lunch will be, have some bacon that needs using up so might have that with scrambled egg.
Dinner roast lamb, veg and pots.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

I stuck to my list in sainsburys, nothing there really tempted me. Will pop back in the week to stock up on the italian meal deal offers - great for the freezer.
Resisted the urge to buy something for my lunch, going to make something instead.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Morning.
Took a packet of smoked bacon out of freezer for breakfast and will add rest to ministrone (lunch today).
Mince and "tatties" tomorrow, with carrots, swede and cabbage (use up rest of veg). Large pizza to get rid of, probably Wednesday.
Spent another 48p yesterday on bread (29p) and pears (19p), reduced at Sainsburys.

Good morning
I've been decorating all weekend (yes, in this heat!!) but needs must!!
But it meant I didn't venture into any shops - can only be a good thing.
So over the weekend I've used up some duck from the freezer, along with a HUUUUGE pork shoulder yesterday. That made enough for another meal to go back in freezer for me for when the boys are at their dads and also sandwiches for me and DS1 today with stuffing and apple sauce...nom nom!! :T
It also means there's a bit of room creeping into the freezer again. If we are really going to have snow in the next couple of weeks then the freezer baskets can go out into the garden while I do a PROPER defrost and then I should have even more space :rotfl:Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0 -
Ended up with burgers (and buns) from freezer for dinner as OH finished work too late to cook a roast. Will possibly have that tonight - depending on finish times. If not, I picked up a £5 sainsburys Italian meal deal so may have a pasta bake with garlic bread instead.
Bagel for breakfast out freezer, and tuna and sweetcorn sarnies for lunch. OH also has some cheese and onion rolls from freezer in his. He's also started taking a flask of tea so he's not tempted to buy takeaway coffee.
We've got loads of fish in the freezer we need to start eating, so will try out some cod one night this week.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500
