Morning all, well yes we have had more snow, it's not cold though. All the kids got to school which to be honest i was quite suprised about as 2 of them use the school bus and it actually ran. Meal plan today is toast and a cup of tea in a minute, soup for lunch and mince, tatties, carrot and swede mash and some dumplings for dinner. Catch up later.

just trying - you can keep all the snow. lol
The skies looked full of snow clouds last night and was pleasantly surprised this morning. Those on higher ground may not have been so lucky, unless you enjoy sledging!!

EDIT: spoke 10 minutes too soon!!
Snowing now and getting heavier by the minute ................... and the skies are still full ...................... where's my sledge??

Ha, ha Lynsey see you typed to soon now you've got it to. Oh no i just typed that and now it's like a white out outside again. Atleast it's not to cold. Will go to the shop at lunchtime and get the papers inbetween the snow or else i will look like a snow women by the time i come back. I also have to try and get a signal on my mobile phone as i have a feeling my older 2 may get sent home on the bus soon as the weather has really taken a turn for the worse since i started writing this and they send a text message to let you know. Take care everyone and keep warm.

It's cold here but no snow and none forecast.

Still eating out of the freezer :) had the rest of the wheaten and lifted a loaf out, lunch is cheese and brocolli pasta and dinner will be chicken, mash carrots. cabbage and gravy all from things we have in.

I will be spending some money today on buns to bring to a friends house (and some to bring home for hubby :) )

Send the snow here! We want some and we didn't get any! No sign either much to the kids dismay.

Made the Christmas cake and a batch of mince pies this morning It's beginning to smell alot like Christmas...... mmmmmmmmmm

Dug out a reduced ready meal from freezer to have for lunch tomorrow as won't defrost in time today. Also dug out two HM spag bols for dinner for 4 of us and little one will probably have chicken soup left in the fridge as he still isn't well. Will dig out more ciabattas later too and maybe some for the boys if they fancy it. They are both at school today but it will probably wear out DS2 after being ill. There are so many kids ill at our school atm :(.

ooh just noticed littly has gone to sleep so off upstairs to do some jobs! See you later!
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

First snow of the year here today and we llive 15miles off the south coast. Used to live in Lancashire for the first 20yrs of my life - it was cold and we didn't have central heating brrrr.
DH going out competing tonight so I'll have to go and support him - think I'd rather stay indoors curled up with a bottle of the vino. Just wonder if he would do the same if I was competing!!
Got a chicken cooking at the mo - probably have it as hot sandwiches when we get back, followed by ice-cream made with one of my 24 tins of condensed milk, (was 30 tins a few days back) really good easy recipe, no stirring half way through freezing and a hit every time. I'll post recipe if anyone is interested - certainly not low cal.:)

Fishfingers tonight with wedges, both from freezer and tinned peas
Do I need it or just want it.
  • I will take some snow too.

Went to Mr w, spent £1.68 on a pack of purple broccoli and a pack of tender stem broccoli and fine green beans, yummy.

Evening all, snow stopped but if it freezes over and it looks like it will, it will be pretty bad tomorrow!!

Bought some cheese and pickles along with bits for MIL and Brother. Coupons reduced my food spend to £3.68.
Merrydown is £2 in Morries and there's a 50p coupon - hubby likes it and £1.50 per litre is supposed to be cheap.
Popped into Sainsbury's and picked up 2 large sliced loaves for 19p each and a Taste the Difference Bucks Fizz Cake reduced to 75p - £1.13 spent there and £4.81 on the day. Birds will get 75% of the bread, but did freeze a few slices. Got 2 till spits, one 400 points with a £20 spend and a double points one. I'll try again tomorrow for better ones. lol

Never got to Wallis, but will go tomorrow and doing a big shop for myself and hoping to get olive oil and cashews from Asda, butter, cranberry sauce and ice cream from Morries and bits from Tesco.
Crackers, nuts, pickles and chutneys are almost sorted and just pates and dips to get later and whatever my Son wants.
I should be pretty much sorted after this week ..................... I hope!!

Sorted the foodbank stuff and 3 boxes for them plus extra cereals, quite a decent selection really and not that much spent - well pleased.

Stir fry will be main meal tomorrow, probably with garlic prawns again.

zafiro1984 - 15 miles off the south coast?? Are you living on an island??
