I wish
Ended up having dinner at the inlaws last night, so now i have some chicken to use up, i'm going to turn it into curry and freeze half, the other half will be my lunch with some rice, ds isn't keen on curry so i'll make him a sandwich.
Dinner tonight is sausages (reduced to 17p) mash and beans.
I'm also going to make some banana muffinsDEC GC £463.67/£450

Morning all and cold here.
Welsh Poppy - asleep?? No way, we were busy making snowmen and having snowball fights. lol
Popping to M&S later hoping the lasagnes are BOGOF and I'll get a few. I used to buy them a while back when on offer and I'll treat myself as well in budget.
I'll buy more foodbank stuff from Sainsbury's hoping for better luck with till spits. Tinned potatoes are cheap and more tea-bags.
chardonnay - is the spaghetti OK?? Another foodbank idea and looking for cheap staples like rice etc.
Breakfast now, just toast. Stir fry later and snacks (cake) to finish and I opened the 1st packet of Matchmakers yesterday ...................... still some left ......................... but won't be by tonight.
L'Oreal coupons printing again. Skincare ones offer an opportunity to get £2'ish off the rest of your shop in Tesco of the wipes (2 packs for 1) - use 2 x £2.50 skincare coupons. So free Xmas goodies later, maybe towards the Terry's oranges??
Stay warm.

lynsey tesco do tins of value spag biol for 24p there acually pretty good, could be a food bank idea. ALso we use value spagetti (i assume she means dried) and it's always around that price it goes up and down by a few pence, it's good not stodgy like the value pasta.
If your after pasta i recommend this

Subscribe and it's 45p a bag, they do different shapes, tesco;s discount brand in the huge bag is cheaper but this is nicer and it's better to donate smaller bags so it can go to more poeple anyway imo.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Morning all, Oh my it's cold outside. The 2 oldest are home today no school bus, youngest away but got called to pick her up yesterday as the school was closing wonder if i'll get a call today. Just a few flurries today so far but it's suppose to be bad later, we'll wait and see. I'll send the kids to the shop later to get the papers. Food plan so far is i'm going to have tea and toast in a minute kids already had toast, lunch is soup and sandwich for me kids said they were having noodles-noodles could be a cheap food bank donation item ? Lynsey, dinner is chinese chicken curry, rice, prawn crackers and maybe spare ribs. Lynsey i buy the lidls rice big bag 40p and it's never stoggy and hasn't stuck together with me so far. By the way anyone who wants the snow you're welcome to it !!. Catch up later and stay warm everyone.0

Hi all what a freezing day!
Where are the L'oreal coupons? can't find them - I am so rubbish..
Groupon meal tonight at gastropub - looks yummy but doesn't help freezer reduction mission. Expires tomorrow though so have to go. Going to dig the boys something out of the freezer for dinner though. We HAVE to squeeze that turkey and pork in this weekend!!!
Only need to shop to milk, kitchen roll and dry pie mix so far.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Evening all.
Forgot to take the prawns out, so no stir fry and ended up having a ham sandwich and snacks/cake.
katskorner - L'Oreal coupons are on the L'Oreal Insider site HERE
Register and print off coupons each month. There has been an issue, but sorted now and coupons printing again. Sadly only 1 per item per pc ........ used to be 2.
Done quite a bit of shopping, picking up bits I need and not that much needed now TBH.
Asda: spent £5 there on 1 litre EV olive oil and cashews.
B&M: bits and pieces including chopped figs?? Spent £2.06
Morries: £10.39, but used £3 off £10 coupon (sadly last one), so £7.39
Got streaky bacon from Morries @ 2 packs for £3, but coupon took the equivalent of 30% off, so OK'ish.
Tesco: £6.75, but got £2.03 off shopping with L'Oreal "glitch", so £4.72 spent there.
Got lucky in Tesco, the cheese-boards are now £4 each, but were £6 each and 3 for 2. They went through at £4.00 each and when pointed out we got the 3 for 2 and "double the difference" - £8 back. So 3 cheese-boards for £4 or £1.33 each. lol
Also included in Tesco spend were the Terry's Oranges (3 for 1), but putting the spend through even though we are giving 2 away.
M&S - missed the BOGOF lasagnes, so another day hopefully.
Did have samples of chocs and biccies, so not a wasted visit.
Popped into Comet and bought a PURE DAB radio (display model) for £20 (supposed to be £99.99, but cheaper online prices about). It had no power lead, so need to buy one. Not that many great offers there and staff were brill.
So food spends today = massive £19.17.
Foodbank stuff from Tesco:
5 x spaghetti @ 20p = £1 (thanks chardonnay)
4 x tins spag bol @ 24p = 96p (thanks quintwins)
6 x Baxter's soup @ £1 (thanks to Baxter's 50p coupons)
Total = £2.96
Took foodbank stuff and they were pleased as they were short on cereal stuff.
They also need rice (thanks just trying) and tinned potatoes. I'll get the potatoes from Sainsbury's hoping for decent till spits (thanks Sainsbury's hopefully).
Mince and tatties tomorrow, mince already cooked.
Bacon sandwiches for breakfast.
No more shopping tonight, Xmas decoration time. :xmastree:

Hey guys
Well pleased with myself, made a sweet chilli sauce from scratch, using the 35 p reduced chilli from Mr w, also had.the last asparagus cup a soup, will try another flavour tomorrow, had the soup and Mr w bagel, for breakfast used up the last of the greek yogurt and the last of the frozen berries, so on to, pear, pineapple and melon Smoothies tomorrow, also defrosted the last pork shoulder piece and chopped it and marinated it in some of the sweet chilli sauce, had some of the pork George foreman style, with the last of the philly pasta, purple broccoli, tender stem broccoli and fine green beans.
Will have the remaining pork tomorrow topped up with a handful of prawns George forman style, with rice and veg.
Can't believe the sauce is so easy to make, no more bottles being bought by me anymore.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
