Hi everyone, seems i posted once on this thread then seems i never posted again. There was a family bereavement at the end of September and i was away for a week. I think i have only made one post since then. I was wondering if it's ok if i join you all on here. I will be away again from Friday to Sunday but i will try to post on the other days. So out of the freezer today was sausages, just had a breakfast thing as at the moment i'm into easy things as can't be bothered. Hope it's ok to post. Thanks.0

Morning all and welcome back to just trying.
Just a coffee and Kit Kat for breakfast. Cheese on toast for elevenses and soup later and a yoghurt. Think I'll make an apple crumble to finish off some apples. Hubby will be having a curry day!
I'm going to attempt (without the aid of a safety net) ................. 2 NSD's in a row.
I can easily get by now until Saturday (2 pints of milk should get me there) and then I'll visit Lidl and maybe Aldi.
Terrified of what bargains I may miss though.
I'm going to sort the freezers later and try and get all the old stuff in a couple of drawers and clear it!!
I would liked to have a couple of empty freezer drawers ready for all the Xmas "whoopsies", but it will be a struggle.
Haven't a clue about tomorrow's food yet, but maybe burgers in a bun (need to bake buns) or a fish day?? Fish day will probably win.

Went to mr T to get Jamie cards and mushrooms this morning and ended up spending £6:eek:. I bought two king prawn curries YS to 50% off as they are lovely and with king prawns it is worth it. Mushies 97p, tiger bread £1. 3 pks cottage pie mix @ 26p each. Did get a large chicago town bbq pizza from freezers for 99p tho:T.
When I got home I chopped a farm field of veg and made a ginormous hot chilli and a cottage pie without the pots in a large pan so we can add whichever potato state we fancy at the time. With the bolognese we made last night we have now used all of the defrosted mince. Still to make something with the pork spare rib chops though. That isn't so easy and I don't like pork curry.
Freezer already full so no idea where these meals are going! But had no choice but to cook them.
p.s. lynsey I am aiming to do similar with my freezer for Christmas but it will be very hard to do!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Sounds like it might be time to drag out a bbq0 -
Never left the house, so NSD No.1 out of the way.
I was tempted to got to Tesco for the cheap jams though!! Maybe Saturday.
Got a jammed freezer drawer and it won't budge, cant get the drawer front off either!!!
Just leaving it until tomorrow and I'll try again.
Took smoked haddock out for hubby, I'll just "go with the flow".

It's an omen, too much shopping
I've had another reshuffle of the kitchen cupboards, used a few more things up, thrown out some bits I won't use (and didn't buy so no real wastage..) and put some kitchen equipment stuff away instead. Made 2 loaves of bread and a chocolate & beetroot cake which is huge! Have rearranged my fridge too and put condiments together with meal ingredients to use them up. Determined to get down to bare minimum, fed up of the kitchen clutter! All I've bought this week is fruit.0 -

I will have to try and get that drawer front off today. I think it's the pork mince I bagged up and squeezed in, probably hardened and moved. I got enough to get by with though for the time being!!
Just messing today with food (soup to finish) and I'll bake some bread later.
I'll be at Lidl's early tomorrow to grab the best of the bacon.

Hi All, was at the dentist yesterday got 2 fillings though there is talk of doing root canal treatment on one of them they filled, joy. so yesterday diced chicken came out the freezer and they had sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice, i had a mug shot thing and a roll. Tonight were having chicken drumsticks in a maggi bag with pasta and crusty bed. Not had anything this morning yet as starting with a sore throat and am freezing. Lunch will probably be soup. Oh and i will probably miss Lidl this weekend, will try and pass one on Sunday though.0

Hey guys
Ate dinner home yesterday, but I went to zumba and forgot to take a ready meal from freezer, I bought them for my exercise days, ended up buying 4 hot wings from chicken shop and had that with the last of the 5beans and rice, was actually really nice.
Have taken out sticky duck legs and also some fragrant rice, going to put the rice back though, just remembered I have rice in the fridge, will add veg
Lynsey I am also keeping out of shops, but this is a record for you :P I am going to do a online order sometime in November, restock my cupboard, buy some drinks for Christmas and buy my ham joints, I wouldn't be able to carry all the stuff, once I have done that shop, I will just top up and in December use my points from t's and s' since I won't be cooking christmas dinner, it will be a easy month, want to clear a full drawer tor whoopsies at crimbo definitely.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
