Morning all.
Breakfast is toasted fruit loaf (only 49p at the moment in Morries and nice).
Haven't got a clue what's for main meals today, forgot to take something out last night - might have fish and chips, some frozen breaded cod needs using up and get rid of some potatoes.
Got lucky in ASDA last night - spent 90p and got 2 packs of crumpets, pack of muffins, pack of large finger buns and a raspberry sponge cake. Had half the cake last night (between us) with ice-cream and probably the same today. Crumpets and finger buns in freezer for another day. Should have taken more crumpets at 15p per pack.................but there will be another day no doubt and would rather keep my space for something better.
For those budgeting, there is a free tin of Campbells soup coupon on the Coupon thread. One coupon per purchase and you can print off as many as you want. I prefer to make soup, but will still get a couple. When I first got married there used to be a recipe on the back of the Campbells soup can to make something else by using the soup as a base............not too sure if they still do this, never bought it in ages.............and thanks to the coupons I won't have to buy it now. :rotfl:

Was supposed to be a "No Spend Day" yesterday but the car dragged me into Sainsburys car park, so just had to pop in.
Only bought a pack of turkey mince for 49p and made a spag bol yesterday with it for todays meal. Toast with jam for breakfast.
My freezers filling up again due to the Magnums on offer at Morries in combination with the £1 voucher (Unilever VIP - Facebook) - works out at only 8p per Magnum.

Morning all
Had to laugh at the merry widows comment about the cat / handbag / washer!!
Only me for food tonight DS1 and 2 are with their dad so I'll drag something out of the freezer for me later - possibly LO fried rice from the chinese.
Food for Saturday will be the enormous Peking duck my mum gave us - and that's gonna leave a HUGE gap in one of the freezer drawers.
Sunday will be roast dinner with the chicken leg portions out of the freezer for boys and a steak pie for me - should be able to juggle things around then and have a drawer empty :j
Think I've said before I want to run it right down so I can properly defrost it and get the top drawer back in (too much ice in there for it to close properly if the drawer is in:eek:)Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0 -
Morning, just had toasted fruit loaf (again) with coffee.
Brunch today and snack later.............having a lazy day.
Steak and ale tomorrow, got some chantenay carrots from Tesco (on offer at 50p - not too bad).
Trying not to spend today....................keeping pennies for the Lidl chocolate offer this weekend - 19p per bar. :j
