    Hi all, Hows it going?

Done quite a bit of batch cooking in the last few days which is great, the freezer looks stocked but not overfull, the cupboards look stocked but not overfull so I'm really pleased.

Spent £10.70 in Mr A's on essentials so very pleased with that.

Also I buy Surf essential oils liquid washing powder, the 28 washes is usually cheapest at £3 when it is on offer but I noticed today in Saver's window (you know the chemisty place?) that they were £2.80 so I bought 6 as you can't always get them at £3 when you need them at £3! Just thought I'd pass the tip on in case anyone else uses it too. x

well done to you and ms_night_ryder and anyone else for all the donating you are doing. i'm sure it will be much appreciated.

lynsey, thanks for the spam coupon info and the reduced frozen items in sainsbury's. i had forgotten about the cheap carrots at aldi so will buy them to go with the 8p turnip i got the other day for hubby to make lentil soup. unless we get any for 10p at tesco reductions :rotfl:

  • Also the finest bacon on the meat counter was 10p a rasher so I got 40 rashers and froze it when I got home - thought that was quite a good bargain,

Just made some supper by putting two croissants from the freezer in the slow cooker on high for 30 minutes - they were lovely and hot and crispy!!

thanks for the info re the bacon will check it out 10p a rasher is cheap. also never thought of using the slow cooker to heat and crispen things like croissants - thanks again.

What is this word 'whoopsied'? I keep seeing it used everywhere on the forums lol. Is it something to mean reduced?
  • Yes,on the asda tickets it say whoops or something like that, i don't know if that is where it's from.

Changed my mind and am having the last mr w pizza whoopsied lol, will have chicken etc tomorrow, so nothing sle will come out of freezer now except the pizza.

Also my favorite domino's have opened at the bottom of my road, so this is the alternative.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all and thanks for the kind words - nice to see loads posting.

blackandwhitebunny - I know what you mean about the prices, you just need to be crafty. There are bargains about with re-branding etc, keep and eye out.

Tried Morries this afternoon and my luck changed!! :D
Went for the 50p beans and 85p coupons ................. but they realised ............... twice.
Got 8 tins of beans (free), but no 35p's off shopping. Only went fro cheap bread and pies, but bread was only reduced by 50% and pies etc not even 50%.
Had to buy something, so bought 4 packets of Cheddars and spent £2.16.
Hubby got some of the Jennings Bitter @ £1 and some loose cans of Budweiser @ 49p per can, so not all lost. 8 tins towards this weeks target of 30 (min).
We changed our eating plans today and snacked with pizza and fries. We'll have the stir fry tomorrow and taking a pork joint or pork chops out for Tuesday. Need to clear some space for the half-price Kievs at the weekend.

Sainsbury's TU sale starts Tuesday (25% off) and I've been waiting for this to try their dearer leggings (£10 per pair). I'll use the £4 off £20, get 2 pairs and add more beans.

Nothing will be needed this week apart from bread and milk and might bake some bread. So bargain hunting only.

Evening all. Glad to see everyone is still getting bargains :)

Plodding along here. Got 16 sausages reduced in Tesco on Saturday (or was it Friday?) so been using those up slowly but I think the rest will have to go in the freezer.

Easy dinner of hotdogs cheesy mash and beans tonight.

Not really much in the way of bargains lately but my OH has been promoted in work which will mean we get more bargains. Perks of the job :o OH says he's glad to be back on the management ladder, I'm just happy he'll be in control of reductions :rotfl:

    Hope everyone is ok?
