    Really need cheddar, I'm trying to hold out for a nice glitch, it doesn't seem to be happening, so now I need a good deal.

    Maybe this one? I know it's not cheddar but seems good.

    Lynsey 200 is a lot but so achievable,

    .................. and it's for a good cause.
    Got another 12 tins today and wrecked, been all over the place!!
    Cooking fish and chips now as we're starving and then I'll have to tot-up the weeks spends - hoping it's under £40!!!

    I know its probably a little more expensive, but the local Tesco's to me had Lake District cheese on a 2 for 1 - £3.99 for a 350g piece, with the BOGOF theyre £2 each.
    Only seemed to be on the mature version tho, not the mild.

    BTW - thanks Lyndsay, finally got my computer to load the PDF for the Greens voucher :D
  • Not posted in a while - finished my placement, and then worked on uni work which was submitted yesterday :)

    Carried on eating what we had in, whilst buying fresh items when needed. Today I just had the last tin of soup, right in time for my bursary payment and end of eating out the cupboards! We're on to fresh HM soup, and having a proper food budget again. Still going to read through the thread but won't be posting much .. thank you for all being so lovely whilst I was posting and hope you all have a lovely upcoming Autumn & Winter if I don't re-appear :)

    miss_emmajane - bless you and good luck to you and your boyfriend. Enjoy your first Xmas together in your own home, but please post if possible.

    Spends today (and budget may not be as bad as feared).

    Asda: (had to get stuff for Brother, so took advantage)
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 84p = £3.36
    Stir fry oil (offer) @ 80p = 80p
    Sub total = £4.16
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons (minus £3.40)
    Total = 76p

    Aldi:
    Savoy cabbage = 39p
    1 kg carrots = 39p
    Large FR eggs = £1.09
    Total = £1.87

    Lidl:
    2 x bags of onions @ 34p = 68p
    4 packets of choc biscuits @ 43p = £1.72
    Total = £2.40

    Morries:
    Nescafe (300g offer) @ £4.79 = £4.79
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £2
    Packet Walkers Deep ridge crisps @ £1 = £1
    Sub total = £7.79
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons (minus £3.40)
    Total = £4.39 - extra £1.40 off coffee. lol

    B&M:
    Crisps = 69p
    Biscuits = 29p
    Total = 98p

    Non food:
    Tesco:
    4 free tins of Heinz 5 beans and more mini-wines (double-discount).

    Days food spends (so far) = £10.40, weeks spends so far = £33.86 and pleasantly surprised for the amount bought (including coffee).
    Coffee stash is now 1.3kg+ and hoping to get near to Xmas with that!!

    Forgot to use some parsnips, so hubby is making a spiced roast parsnip soup for tomorrow.

    Oh dear, my PC died and my link to the above has gone.
    Lynsey, can you help please, you are so good with these things.
    I have got the Greens one now (now I have learnt how to find the attachments on Thundebird) and have the 80p off Wrights if you would like some in exchange (saved onto WORD). I try to use them sparingly and make cakes for local church with the cake mix.
    Still reloading stuff on new PC.

    The 80p one was pulled as it was for charity use not for general population. All stores were advised not to take it.

    we are slowly eating up our cupboard and freezer stocks but OH tends to go a bit OTT with stocking up:D

    I am determined to get back into using coupons as that has fallen by the wayside recently. I have saved the greens coupon and printed the spam one = thanks lynsey. is the wrights one still available to print/save?

    lynsey that is fab the amount of stuff you have donated. I know you have a charity you donate to but have you heard of the people's kitchen in Newcastle? they actually cook for people instead of handing out food. We donated our mega stock of wholewheat pasta as none of us were eating it. we gave a few jars of sauce with it.

    I am looking forward to getting back to this thread and contributing...

    Welcome back bunbun2 and looking forward to seeing you posting more - many apologies to everyone as I have posted too much of late (sorry)!!!
    Yes, I do know of the People Kitchen near St James Park and we were actually thinking of giving up our Xmas Day and helping out at a centre like that (not this year though). Sometimes they ask for volunteers to help out.
    Good luck with the couponing.
    I think we need a thread where freebies and current cheapies are on offer. These items could be targeted for anyone who is intending on donating to charities and we could help each other out??

    No further spends, so £33.86 was the weeks spends. The problem with couponing is you need to spend and that has contributed along with the coffee to a higher weeks spend.
    Still well on track though. :p
    My £100 to spent on charity stuff will come out of what is left from the years £1500 budget, I'll make sure of that. So in effect I have only £1400 and will still come in under that ............... I hope.

    Lynsey why are you apologising for posting so much? your posts are always full of information and are what have got me back into couponing. I love seeing your lists and you always give links to coupons.

    I ventured out to the local WI (trying to get a social life!) and they had a volunteer from the people kitchen talking. that is some set up they have.
