cheerfulness4 - good luck with the coffee search.
Sainsbury's have the Nescafe Gold Blend refills @ £2.98 and I have a £4 off £20 coupon. I was thinking of getting 4 packs of that and making up the rest with Heinz coupons. lol
4 x £2.98 = £11.92, so would to make up over £8 to make it viable.
Morries has 300g jars (200g + 50% extra free), but that's around £4.50. Again, I could try and use some Heinz coupons as the beans are only 50p and the coupon (generally) scans at 85p - 4 coupons would get £1.40 off the price.
    Desperate times. lol
EDIT: Morries 300g Nescafe is £4.79 and on offer until Sunday 23rd.

Hit 3 shops today and got some bits and back to my old ways as bought Snickers and Mars Bars today. M&S was too busy, so walked out - they do have Mature Welsh Cheddar on half-price @ £4 for a 700g pack.

    Spends:
    Sainsbury's:
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 85p = £3.40
    JS Packet Golden Savoury Rice (reduced from 54p) @ 27p = 27p
    JS Box Stuffing Mix (reduced from £1.46) @ 37p = 37p
    Subtotal = £4.04
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons (minus £3.40)
    Total = 64p

    Asda:
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 84p = £3.36
    2 x Green's Pie Filling @ 35p = 70p
    Pack of 4 Mars Bars @ £1 = £1
    Sub total = £5.06
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons and 2 x Green's 40p coupons (minus £4.20)
    Total = 86p

    Morries:
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £2
    4 x Wright's Ciabatta Mix @ 50p = £2
    M "Best" Shortbread (offer) @ 82p = 82p
    Pack of 4 Snickers @ £1 = £1
    2 bananas @ 24p = 24p
    Mange Tout (reduced seconds) @ 19p = 19p
    Sub total = £6.25
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons and 4 x Wright's 30p coupons (minus £4.60)
    Total = £1.65
Days total so far = £3.15

12 more tins of beans to donate.

Italian meal was very nice, but forgot that they charge £2.95 for 1/2 litre of sparkling water!!!!
    Just snacking today now.

Might send hubby to Morries to get 4 tins of beans and the coffee. lol

  • NSD today - enforced unfortunately as not pay day until Monday. I made porridge in the slow cooker last night - I put it on low, but this morning when I came down it had overcooked and the milk had curdled so that wasn't a success. Just had toast for breakfast and then made a meatloaf with some sausages which were about to go out of date for lunch - only had four sausages but it still made a substantial meatloaf when mixed with some stuffing mix, apples and onions. I had it for lunch and then DD devoured the rest when she got in from school!!

I got two chicken breasts out of the freezer this morning and had them for tea just now with some mashed butternut squash and potato mash and a mushroom and red wine gravy. it was lovely - I made the gravy with a sachet of red wine sauce I found in the cupboard which was out of date! There is enough mash left for tomorrow so might made a cottage pie and use it to top it.

I have really noticed the difference in consumption of stuff since DD started university!! Plus I hoovered and cleaned the living room on Tuesday and it still looks nice!! Usually it is full of DD1's hair stuff, make-up, cups and plates, magazines and other dreck!!

    Have a good evening everyone!

Lynsey and Cheerfulness - have you looked on Amazon for the nescafe?

  • I have been reading this thread for about a year. I have enjoyed getting to know people. I have been off work sick since the end of Feb :(and have gradually built up the freezer to bursting point and also the cupboards. Really low on money now so need to start only buying fresh fruit & veg and stuff like bread & milk.
Our local shops don't like reducing and I am lucky if they reduce by 10%.
Looking for bargains anywhere i can :hello:

    Evening all.

Busy day today, went to drs apt at 10:10 i really couldnt get up and just made it, got home and jumped into bed lol, didnt stay in long decided to go get a mani and pedi, before i went, went to mr s and got 2 5 beans and some gum 49p to pay, 49p for gum? it's cheaper in the corner shop!

Went to morries after, armed with beans and greens coupons, i got

    black grapes £1
greens 1, egg custard and 1 carmelle
pack of ridges £1 half price
1 small pack of longlife milk
    3 tins of 5 beans

£4.95 down to £1.35 to pay

    2nd morries *sigh*

    3 5 beans
    2 greens
pack of cuppa soup reduced to 50p
a tin of value rice pudding
2 packets of value instant custard
a pack of value strawberry whip and a bottle of longlife
    pack of flat peaches
    half price salad pre packed

used x2 greens coupons and x 3 beans coupons, the lady put it through and then stopped and said hang on, why has it given more? then procedded to take the £1.05 off tut, she said i will get killed if i let that happen, she then said oh its happened on the greens, but i will let that 1 go! a whole 5p gee thanks! was hoping to let the beans voucher pay for the additional stuff but ah well, there will be other times

    £2.78 to pay.

Will give away one of the longlife milks, the value custard, whip and rice pudding, i actually have another box full, but will save some of the nicer stuff i have to give at christmas, i am not sure whether to give another box full soon, or wait until next month, as i have already given a bag full this month and would rather keep it to once a month, rather than give loads now and have nothing to offer for another 2 months iyswim. Thanks to lynsey i have finally learnt the art of coupoining, no more, only when i actually need to go to the shop i will add whatever is free, need to get the wrights coupon, then at least i know, someone can potentially have a nice breakfast , home made wrights bread, beans and some hot milk lol, at least thats the way i see it, don't know if they do or not, the lady i spoke to said that they get families coming in, where they can't afford food and how they are allowed either 10 or 8 items and are not allowed to come back for either 2-3 days for more, so i guess they have to make sure whatever they choose lasts, there are some greens cupcakes on sale for £1 might get some, but then families would have to worry about the egg and butter etc, so i dunno really.

    Have a lovely weekend all.

My silly Morries doesn't have the 200g nescafe with 50% extra. I keep looking out but nothing. :(
Reckon I'm going to have to box clever with some couponage to get a decent deal too. :)

They didn't have the saver mozzerellas on 2 for 50p either which is very annoying as we like that.

Ma-ri-ella - I missed that Asda offer. Gutted! I got some cheaply from them last year that was a cracking deal.

Recovering - went and looked on Amazon but nothing doing there either. I'll have to be patient and drink more tea. :p

Can I ask regarding the Green's coupon, how are you managing to just print the coupon without the entire page? I'm always challenged with this stuff. :o
My DIL loves cheesecake and I've sent her home with another today and want to stock up but mostly I'm paying the full 50p instead of 10p as my ink is running low with the full page print.

smegcat - welcome and hope we get to know you. Good luck with job prospects. Do you use coupons??

ms_night_ryder - there's always one!! But like you say, there will be other times.

I've been out and bought my coffee. :j

Had everything worked out to exactly £20 to use the £4 off £20 coupon, but after searching for ages, they never had any Happy Eggs in stock!!!
Sustituted the eggs with some of the 50p frozen bargains and went slightly over.

    Bought:
    4 x Nescafe Gold Blend refills @ £2.98 = £11.92
    4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 85p = £3.40
    4 pints of milk @ £1.18 = £1.18
    2 x grapefruits (reduced from 59p) @ 10p = 20p
    Deli ham slices (half-price offer) @ £1.50 = £1.50
    2 x BBQ Ultimate Beef Burgers (reduced from £2.49) @ 50p = £1
    2 x Jumbo Chipotle Sausages (reduced from £2.49) @ 50p = £1
    Pork Thai Kebabs (reduced from £2.49) @ 50p = 50p
    Sub total = £20.70
    Used 4 x Heinz 85p and £4 off £20 coupons (minus £7.40)
    Total = £13.30

The extra £4 off the coffee makes it £1.98 per 150g for Gold Blend and just under £2.50 for 200g.

Sadly the freezer spaces have been filled and just a little space left, but I need coffee (stamps feet).

That makes the days spends now @ £16.45, biggest daily spend in ages, but happily loads to play with.

This couponing is getting addictive.
My hubby says, "Have you seen a Psychiatrist"??
I said, "No, but I've seen plenty of tins of Heinz 5 beans". :D

    Coffee time and feet up.

  • I like your list-skills, Lynsey. ;) I've got ds2 working on some for me as he's a whizz at sorting the maths and his brain isn't as worn out as mine. :)

recovering - it was on the printable coupons thread, page 1 but Lynseys the one to ask about where to find these things. I'm still confused about the beans. :p

I've now got thinking that DH came home with a £5 Morrisons miles voucher that I forgot about. If I wait my moment (I've got 3 x 200g Nescafe till I'm out) then I might be able to apply that to an offer and get my coffee prices down.

The 50p Heinz 5 beans at Morries finishes on Sunday (23rd), hopefully Asda or someone will follow. I would love Sainsbury's to do the 50p offer again.
I think the Green's coupon got pulled??

We're still okay to use them, are we? Morrisons took one tonight so I'm guessing its fine.

I am so enjoying my couponing. It is addictive.
I was trying to amuse my 7 month old grandson and, to my shame, thought he might like a few episodes of Extreme Couponing on Youtube. :o
He loved the beeps as they went through checkout and its never to early to teach the younger ones, is it? :p
