    I've been Money Tipped!
Quite an eventful day and lots of little bits of shopping and used a few coupons to reduce costs and get more stuff to donate.

Started off at Sainsbury's to get Brother some Coke and we gave him the £4 off £20 - Coke is 8 cans for £3.85 BOGOF.
    Bought for myself:
    White choc cookies 50p = 50p
    2 tins Heinz 5 beans @ 85p = £1.70
    2 x Green's Carmelle @ 50p = £1.00
    Sub total = £3.20
    Used 2 x Heinz 85p and 2 x Green's 40p coupons (minus £2.50)
    Total = 70p
    Non food 2 x L'Oreal £3.99 BOGOF = £3.99
    Used 2 x £1.50 coupons (minus £3) = 99p for 2

    Lidl:
    4 packs sausages @ 74p = £2.96
    Bag frozen peas @ 99p = 99p
    Total = £3.95

    Morries: (few transactions)
    6 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £3
    4 x Green's pancake mix @ 50p = £2
    2 x Lurpak @ 2 for £2 = £2
    2 x Cheddars (offer) @ 54p = £1.08
    4 pints milk @ £1.18 = £1.18
    Tub WW custard (reduced form £1.10) @ 9p = 9p
    M Best shortbread (offer) @ 79p = 79p
    M Best shortbread (offer) @ 76p = 76p
    M Best shortbread (offer) @ 82p = 82p
    Sub total = 11.72
    Used 6 x Heinz 85p coupons and 4 x Green's 40p coupons (minus £6.70)
    Total = £5.02

    Days food total = £9.67

Weeks total = £26.41 (not bad after today) and loads and loads for that.

Morries have quite a bit M Best range reduced, so getting bit and keeping for Xmas.

Good news also as I have a half-empty freezer drawer. :j

Might have a day off shopping tomorrow .................. then, maybe not. :D
I'm loving couponing at the minute. :money:

Stuffed chicken in now and ready soon with the roast veg.
Took a Quiche out for tomorrow and having with wedgers. Bacon sandwich again for breakfast and possibly rhubarb crumble with custard. Biryani also out for hubby.

Almost out of fresh stuff now. Just got 1 salad and a bit of fruit. Will go shopping again on Monday, and then probably again on Wednesday or Thursday - find it's better to do it in 2 lumps when we're mainly eating reduced stuff! Aiming to only spend £10-15 for the week because we'll just need some pepsi, fruit and veg really.

Not sure what I'm having today. Might get the last couple of cinnamon and raisin bagels out of the freezer. Ended up having a veggie burger with bread and YS chips for dinner because OH wanted burger and chips - so used a bit of the freezer stock :) Will do pasta or pizza tonight.

Evening all, hope all are well. Have had internet issues!!!

NSD as nothing needed today, but bread and eggs will be needed during the week.
Whoopsy shopping this week will be aimed at fruit and veg and maybe an odd pizza or two.
A few ready meals will go this week along with some more fish or fish-fingers. Got some teacakes to use up also, so a few breakfasts sorted.
Last week for cheap Heinz 50p 5 beans in Morries, so hoping for a few and getting the extra 35p's off.

Smoosh - good luck with the weeks budget.

Fingers crossed for some decent coupons this week.

Son won't be coming home, so his beans will be going to charity. I'll email him the coupon and he can get his own ............... if wanted.

  • Evening all.

Went to Zumba and done my knee in! Went to the shop and got some cookies and minstrels -_- no other shopping.

I stuck to the plan and had chicken and rice from freezer and cupboards, decided to try the 5 beans and the way I cooked then, they tasted really nice, sauce has a sweetness to it. Fried off some chopped onions, added the beans, a bit of chilli powder, black pepper and herbs really yum, it is a typically Caribbean way to cook beans, let it simmer, the sauce thickens.

Leftovers tomorrow, might have some veggie and fish fingers for lunch and a grapefruit for breakfast, will defrost a pork chop at some point tomorrow, even though I'm staying out the shops, might POP and get some beans from morries and some cans for red cross next week.

Morning all, a bit on the cold-side today.

Skipping breakfast today as not hungry and I'll probably just snack today. Took out a large chilli con carne for hubby, so another space.

Got to go shopping for Brother at Morries and I'll use some more Heinz and Green's coupons - blend in nicely with Brother's shopping as I need little.

ms_night_ryder - hope that knee has eased off ................ ouch!!!!

    Hi all,

I have decided that there is no way I can catch up on all I have missed on this thread so I shan't try. Thanks to those of you who have been in touch and also who have been lovely in your posts. I do hope that everyone is well and happy. If not then please take care of yourselves.

I have been eating some more freezer and cupboard stuff although the last two weeks my butcher mate has come up trumps and I have not needed to meat dive at all as I have had lots of mince, whole chicken, sirloin and lamb chops fresh and actually eaten them fresh (hubby normally ensures everything goes via the freezer before we can eat it lol). I have a large bag of fresh mince in the fridge that he did me yesterday as well as another chicken that will need freezing. So today I will make something mince-based (could be anything really, not sure yet, maybe bolognese..).

Stocked up cupboards with beans at the weekend with Lidl Branston deal as we had run out completely. The rest of the time I am being pretty good about running down stuff we have rather than buying more. I am not really enjoying shopping atm and trying to stick to a list of get YS stuff and make sure we eat it!

Will be back soon - take care everyone :)
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Great to see you back posting and most importantly, take care of yourself.
Great also that the supply of meat hasn't dried up.

Just a small shop today in Morries:

    4 x Green's pancake mix @ 50p = £2
    2 Heinz 5 beans @ 50p =£1
    M 'Best' shortbread @ 79p = 79p
    4 x mini mango jams with passion fruit (reduced) @ 14p = 56p
    Sub total = £4.35
    Used 4 x 40p Green's and 2 x 85p Heinz coupons (minus £3.30)
    Total = £1.05

More beans and pancake mix to donate. Another box of shortbread for Xmas stash (4 now).

    Maybe Sainsbury's later??

Took out tea-cakes for tomorrow's breakfast and stir fry for tomorrow's main meal - a wee bit more space cleared.

Ate the half a pizza that was in the freezer for dinner last night with some of the garlic bread and taken out 6 pieces of bread (had 2 for breakfast). I also took 2 chocolate eclairs out that are currently defrosting. So that's freed up some freezer space :j

Will be popping to Tesco today to get Pepsi, going early though, so no YS bargains today. Think I'll try and get some tomorrow.
  • Afternoon all.

Lynsey thanks :) going to give boxercise a miss today, knee is not.feeling that great.

Had grapefruit for breakfast, fish finger sandwich for lunch, bread from freezer, the chicken, beans and rice will be for dinner, feeling a bit peckish so have taken out the last chocolate muffin.

Drinks shopping done, spent just under £10. The rest of the shopping this week should only cost £2 I hope.

No idea what to make for dinner tonight.
