ms_night_ryder - well done for donating to those that need it.
I think of it as being like Robin Hood, perhaps even Robina Hood (lol) - taketh from the rich and giveth to the poor.
Got my bicarb today from a small Asda, but they didn't stock any Green's stuff!!
Bicard was reduced to 34p and baking powder 35p - Dr Oetker which they seem to be clearing - 69p spent there.
Home-made Crunchies tomorrow.
Morries: (2 transactions)
4 x Green's Cheesecake mix @ 50p = £2
4 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £2
4 x back bacon (on offer) @ £1 = £4
Sub total = £8
Used 4 x Heinz 85p coupons and 4 x Green's 40p coupons (minus £5)
Total = £3
Happy with that, makes the bacon (180g) @ 65p with the extra 35p's coming off.
Don't miss the free Anchor cream - post HERE
I'll get some cream tomorrow (offer end Friday).
Forgot to go to M&S ................ top priority tomorrow!!!
beachie - fantastic bargains - well done.

Hello everyone. Trying to get back on track, been feeling a bit off for a few days.
Dinner the last 2 days has been lasagne using YS beef mince (there was enough for leftovers the next day too).
Tonight was YS sausages (55p for 8) with the last of the 50p parsnips and carrots. Also used the last of my tesco value potatoes (99p for 2.5kg I think) and gravy.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Morning,
I hope everyone is well, I need to catch up on the thread.
No shopping the last few days as I just can't get used to going to work again. It is draining both mentally and physically. It is good though, I am getting through it.
I have been using the slow cooker the last few days to make it easier for me. Everything has been from stocks.
Chicken and bacon chassuer and chicken and noodle soup.
I'm off today and planning another low spend day or nsd.
I'm going to make several pizza bases for the freezer for during the week. I'm also going to make a big pan of chicken curry for Saturday and prepare a meal of some kind for tomorrow as well. Carbonarra maybe or sausage casserole.
I am off on Sunday as well so I will do some more batch cooking then.
I am determined that the takeaways will not sneak back in.

Morning all.
Smoosh - that was a great saving - well done and a nice feeling when it happens.
Soworried - good that you are coping back at work ......................... I bet you'd rather be off playing with us though. You can today anyway. lol
It went cold here last night and a wee bit chilly this morning - trying desperately NOT to put the heating on!!
Porridge season now and that's for breakfast.
Pie and soup later and finish what's left of the cheesecake (1 1/2 boxes makes a decent size cheesecake) - good job they are calorie free.
Off to a few shops later to use a few coupons.
Got a box of tins to donate and might do that today, though definitely by the weekend. Friends, family and neighbours have also taken quite a bit ........................ thankfully.
They can have all the beans and I'll have all the extra 35p's. :money:
Stay warm!!!!!!

Morning all
Not commented for a few days but have just caught up reading the posts. Last day on placement today and then back to uni until the new year - will drastically save on petrol and expenses, helping with food costs.
Doing well at sticking to the two week meal plan I made, the spluirge LIDL shop has done great as we've had fresh fruit & veg too which I get miserable if we don't have. Spent £2 in Morrisons for Shape yoghurts (£1 for four pack offer) and that will be it until next week. Keep using up the tins for OHs lunch, today he has got spaggetti and bread to toast. After they are gone I am going to start making homemade soup, freezing it in portions and he can have that - especially as Winter comes, healthier, cheaper and nicerBut that will be after next week.
Today will use up - 1x tin of veg soup, 1x tin of spagetti, last ys YS fish co salmon, last of smash potato (finally! I am never buying it again), punnet of strawberries, 2x fresh corn on the cobs, last of Quorn sticky fillets
Hope you're all having a nice day, it is definately getting a little chilly here but the sun is still shining0 -
My first try at cinder toffee wasn't a great success, it went rather flat!!!
Try again another day, it did taste nice though!!
Off to "spend" some coupons.

Plan for today is to eat some of the YS fruit, yoghurt and granola in the fridge (yet to have breakfast, whoops). Will have a YS salad for lunch with a YS panini and YS cheese! (which will be at about 5 or 6). And then for dinner I'm roasting a little YS chicken for my OH (I'm veggie, so will be having something Quorn out of the freezer), with some YS carrot, YS broccoli and YS corn on the cob and will do some roast potatoes, will also have a go at making some yorkshire puddings! OH doesn't get back from work til 10, so will be a late dinner tonight. I also have some YS frosting in the fridge, so think I'll make a batch of cupcakes, will save just a few for me and OH and send OH to work with the rest so that other people can eat them, otherwise we'll eat them all!

Evening all.
Got 2 cakes from M&S today (2 for £2 rolls) - I would have bought 4, but dates weren't massive and I'll buy 2 fresh ones next weekend.
Also bought a hot cross bun loaf reduced to 50p (tomorrows breakfast).
£2.50 spent there.
Also bought 2 x gravy granules @ 75p each from Aldi and a packet of Rich Tea biscuits @ 23p.
£1.73 spent there.
Morries:
2 x Green's pancake mix @ 50p = £1
2 x Heinz 5 beans @ 50p = £1
Lake District Cheddar (offer) @ £1.99 = £1.99
Parsnips reduced to 29p = 29p
Sub total = £4.28
Used 2 x Green's 40p coupons and 2 x Heinz 85p coupons (minus £2.50)
Total = £1.78 (less than price of cheese).
Days total = £6.01
Asda didn't have the Anchor cream in stock, hopefully Tesco will have some tomorrow. I wanted some Green's pie filling, but will get another day.
I wanted a NSD tomorrow, but the free Anchor cream coupon ends tomorrow and would like a couple if possible.
Took out some sausages to have with mash and onion gravy tomorrow and froze half the M&S hot cross bun loaf.
ms_night_ryder - I also need to keep out of the shops, but couponing is addictive. The Green's coupon last for ages and ages, so hopefully I'll keep on adding and donating.
