I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

Seriously guys, i don't think you understand, i'm not even a fan of raspberries, that is the last berry i would pick aside from blackberries, they were on reduced and offer too and i even considered them, my rationale for the raspberries was i could chuck it in a smoothie, along with ALL the other reduced fruit i have collected in the last 2 weeks but not used, all of it reduced! i literally had to press the contents of the drawer down so the parcels would fit!
Seriously thr freezer is crammed fulll, let me loose in me loose iin mr w and i will find a way to shoe horn things in, i wanted to freeze some jambalaya and was thinking of food bags that i could mould around things to fit it in!
I need to do something about this, i will stay out for 2 weeks, market for veg, no fruit only, this is bad and embarrassing.
By the way, if you have loads of 5 beans, i saw somebody on another thread saying they blended them and added to a tomato sauce to thicken it and it tasted nice, could be useful, well it will be to me, as my challenge forr the next 2 weeks is to actually stick to the title of the thread!Lose 28lb 3/28lb

hi everyone, had a nsd today :P only got to last another week until payday. 2morrow should be fine as i dont need to leave the house for anything so no temptations, plan for 2morrow is-weetabix for breakkie, toast with ravioli for lunch and salmon with tatties for tea. been eating cupasoups a lot recently and as much as they are low in fat, salt, suger etc kinda getting bored of them :P. not sure what to set as a weekly budget after that ..i mostly just buy for me.was thinking £50 a month? is this high/low. 12.50 a week didnt sound that high but about 2.50 would cover breakfast £5 for tea,£5 for lunches.£365 a year spend challenge - this has included food/clothes/beauty?? who knows where I am

*yawn* just finished the roast dinner, the joys of my OH working shifts
Spent the whole time he was at work cleaning and cooking, so feeling very accomplished! Nothing much out of the freezer today, just a few bits of Quorn chicken and a Quorn chicken for my dinner.
There's some left over chicken from tonight's dinner, so I'm planning on making a casserole for tomorrow, especially as we've got lots of carrots to use up as well. For breakfast I'll probably use up the lemon and raisin pancakes that I didn't freeze, maybe with some fruit that needs to be eaten. Lunch will either be a salad or innocent veg pot. So nothing much coming out of the freezer tomorrow either! Need to use up fresh stuff.0 -
Afternoon all.
Quiet here today.
Had my M&S loaf toasted and just had sausages with mash, onion gravy, peas and sweetcorn ....................... and a slice of M&S cake.
Probably that's it for today and maybe more cake later.
Tesco had no Anchor cream left, so walked out and a NSD so far.
Tomorrow main meal will be chicken breast filled with sage and onion stuffing and roast veg.
Found a local centre today which helps those with disabilities and on benefits. They have a few families on the bread-line, so that's where my donations will be going - hopefully on a monthly basis.
Lidl shopping tomorrow for sausages and carrots are only 49p per kilo.
ma-ri-ella - £12.50 is do-able if just for yourself, but on the low side. Depends how much stash you have and how many bargains you can find. Coupons will help also.
Good luck.

I'm going to be doing this for the next few days in an attempt to reduce the amount of food I end up taking back to uni with me, though so far most of the food I've found is out of date...
Pineapple chunks -Mar 2012
Broken Mandarin Segments Dec 2010
Devon Custard Feb 2012
Rhubarb in syrup June 2011
Peanut butter Nov 2011
Nesquik milkshake Dec 2010
Couscous Aug 2012
None of it sounds particularly dangerous though0 -
Morning all, a nice Autumnal day here. A wee bit windy, a lovely drying day!!
parpirate - welcome and good luck.
Spent a little last night in Sainsbury's and got my carrots, so saves buying them today. Also got some cheap potatoes.
Bought:
2 x bags Rooster potatoes @ 40p (from £2.19 each) = 80p
Chantenay carrots @ 15p (from £1.10) = 15p
2 x tins Sainsbury's Scotch Broth (reduced to 30p) = 60p
2 x boxes Blue Dragon creamed coconut (reduced to 30p) = 60p
Total = £2.15
Need to top-up spends later, but low I think.
The box of food I donated yesterday was greatly appreciated and the lady informed me that often on a Thursday and Friday they have people coming in who have no food at all to get them through the weekend - heartbreaking really and that's where my future donations will be going, hopefully on a monthly basis.
Couponing has now given myself a target and makes it even more worthwhile.
Had bacon sandwich for breakfast. Took out a veg pizza for lunch and chicken breasts for tonight.
Off to Lidl soon for sausages and bits for my Brother.
Have a great weekend.

Well done Lynsey!
Almost finished up the fresh stuff that needs to be eaten, still got a salad, veg pot and a fair amount of fruit. Think I'll throw a load of the fruit in the blender with some lemonade and ice and make a smoothie. Dinner will be something out of the freezer! I think I'll have pizza, maybe with some garlic bread, not sure what OH will want.0 -
Right have been in the freezer, I have taken out, a Mr w mini roast tomorrow's dinner, a crossaint, a chocolate muffin for dessert tonight, a container of Chinese for tonights dinner, I have put in 1 container of jambalya, which is 2 meals, will have the last of the jambalya for lunch tomorrow, the recipe called for 500g of rice this was to serve 4-6 people, I used half that and have had a lot of meals 4-6 I don't know what kind of portions they think people eat.
I'm now feeling in control of my freezer situation, I have plenty to eat, will do an inventory soon, got loads of meat in, pork, chicken, fishcakes, ribs etc, so will last about 2 months or more, still won't be going to the shops in the next 2 weeks, might make some lemonade tomorrow, use up some lemons.
Now thinking with the roast chicken may do some 5 beans cooked down with some onions and black pepper, maybe with some rice, as I have no potatoes and will not be going to get any, will see how I feel tomorrow, also need to use up the ham slices, will have with lunch.Lose 28lb 3/28lb
