Just booked a holiday in September through the Sun. Going to a holiday park near Scarborough. Hopefully it might have stopped raining by then! :D

Caz, is Ava still having a nap during the day? I know when Jake was about that age I needed to cut back on his daytime nap as he was getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning.

Sorry to hear about Erin, there's a lot of bugs going about at the mo, usually it's winter eh. I remember ds being ill for a long while with one thing and another right after each other. Hopefully she'll be on the mend soon.

Jane, fingers crossed your dd's procedure goes ok, and that she gets something yummy to eat soon lol.

SoWorried - just about to pour my third cup... hopefully this one will wake me up lol.

Ava stopped having day time naps at the beginning of the year really, but in the last week she's started having a nap in the day again, I think it's because for the last month or so she has been losing sleep at night. I've tried putting her to bed later, but it doesn't work, as she is so ready for bed at 7! I'm hoping that the darker curtains will work. She's also been potty trained for a month now, and I don't know if it's because she needs a wee that she's waking up. I've put her in pull ups now at night, and put a potty in her bedroom for her to use, as some mornings she was calling me that she needed a wee. I don't know, hopefully it'll settle back to normal soon!

I made two quiches - one bacon - the other ham. We had some of the bacon one for dinner - I think we will have some of the ham one tomorrow - got a lot to do before I go away on Thursday.
We bought a tub of cream - 65p but the other ingredients were from the cupboard/fridge/freezer.

We had HM bacon quiche, roast potatoes, cabbage, mange tout & baby sweetcorn.

I forgot to do the freezer dive this am so bought a piece of belly pork reduced to half price in Sainsbugs. We used up the half jar of apple sauce that was lurking in the fridge. I'm trying to use up as many bits and pieces before we go on holiday.
I also got another load of loreal things, should have cost £10.70 in all and I used £11 worth of vouchers :j
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

Evening all. The lamb meatballs were nice. Served them with pasta and a sun-dried tomato and olive pasta sauce which was lovely. Had an asda apple crumble for afters which wasn't up to much.

Poor ds has been moaning all day that his leg is aching him. Putting on a proper limp. Growing pains maybe.

My sis gave me a load of rhubarb. Anyone know if it'd be ok to cook it and freeze it, or better off putting in the freezer just chopped?
Florenceem - sounds like you had a good time and they curtains look lovely!

How long she having for her nap now? Jake's been going to bed late with the light nights. It's a right pain to get him to get to sleep now.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Ahh.. I thought flo hadn't seen her name mentioned lol. Best not let flo know I'm giving the left over apple crumble to the rats then.

Thanks re ds. I'm hoping he's all better by next week as he's going to be walking lots!

...my DD cooked while I sewed.

Friday - a chicken and chorizo dish - bit too much tomato for me.
Saturday - seafood paella - was meant to be rissotto but she was nearly out of that rice.
Sunday - mango & chicken stir fry.
Monday - cod with a pesto topping.
Tuesday - scallops & chick peas.

I had never had scallops or chick peas before.
