Had a good result today from the "regime", so one issue out of the way ..................... thank God (long story).
Reason to celebrate tonight. lol
Groupon sorted, so off later for our Italian - looking forward as good reviews.
It's in Newcastle centre, so I'll check Debenham's out also.
Got a few more things from M&S Outlet this morning, but still waiting for a few things to drop in price - hope I don't miss them!!
Ben to B&M's and also Home Bargains and got my "junk".
Spent £4.93 on crisps, nuts, crackers, water biscuits, stock cubes etc.
Got a few baking bargains also .................. not all "junk" - just 90%!!
Just been snacking, toasted tea-cakes, jam scones and sweets.
Eat properly tonight.
Catch up later.

Lip_Stick - must admit I kinda swill rather than gargle.
Having a really late lunch, just a bowl of chopped up raw veg - fennel, carrot, zucchini, celery, spring onion, cherry tomatoes, beetroot, leek, avocado with HM dressing and a dollop of Abel & Cole organic mayo as a treat. ( I don't have much of a sweet tooth).
Was going charity shop rummaging because I'm still losing weight (thanks for all the congratulations I've had btw I was chuffed) but it's raining and muggy.
Stroke of luck though, my mother called and when I told her I'm size 14 now, she told me she's still got loads of size 14s in her wardrobes and when I go to see her next week I can rummageMy mother is a clothes hoarder, she's got more clothes than Imelda Marcos had shoes and she's NEVER thrown out a pair of shoes either. Hopefully I'll pick up a few skirts and trousers.
We're going YS hunting in Waitrose Friday0 -
Hi All,
Disappointed as we were off again this weekend in the caravan as DS1 had cub camp. Only now he doesn't - it got cancelled so we will need to change plans - flippin' weather.
Did my big shops over the weekend and yesterday and when I popped into Sainsbobs for italian hard cheese, I found a few YS bargains that had to come with me.
Raw king prawns 89p x 2
Peeled prawns 69p
Cooked chicken thighs 69p x2
pork mince 400g 79p
reduced fat 72% meat sausages 49p x4
so again I have filled the entire freezer spaces... had to leave really cheap bread as no room!
Today I am using chicken fillets x 2 to make tikka massala (using chickpeas, tinned tomatos, fresh onion, cauli) for the kids.
We are having Lamb Shanks in red wine sauce from lidl weekend deal from freezer plus brocolli, cauli, carrots and new pots (I might skip those as trying to cut down on carbs and done well today).
Tomorrow I am going to a friends for lunch and we are doing bring and share with about 8 of us so carbs may be trickier there!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Hello everyone
Just passing through, hope you're all ok. No bargains here. I've not been out but tonight's dinner is sausage curry.
Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Saw some YS stuff in M&S - the reductions only just made it slightly more expensive than Sainsburys so left it well alone :rotfl:
Deserve a small medal as I went into Costco for loo roll and only came out with an additional £5 worth of stuff that we needed anyway (bread etc.). I've never spent under £50 in that shop, this was less than £20 :rotfl:
Found a tub of custard powder lurking at the back of the cupboard - without suggesting the obvious (!) any good suggestions what to do with it?0 -
hmmm never tried making anything but custard with custard - but you could make trifles i guess! or yummy apple crumble and custard - nom nom ooh I love that... real proper comfort food.. roll on winter so I can have lots. Actually I think winter may already be here so maybe I should make one?
I am getting worried about Flo - has anyone heard anything?3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

If you have kids and those lolly-making things, you can make the custard with evaporated milk (sinful I know) like my Grandma did and freeze it. Yummy.0

:T mmmmmmmmm! Does it matter that my child is unborn and that I will technically be eating it?that sounds yum!
Yes I guess I could just make custard with it for apple crumble or suchlike. There is just so much of it!0 -
Italian meal was average on mains, but good on starters. Decent portions and got 1 more voucher to use there.
Another 2 Groupon credits came through today, so fingers crossed for the next week or so for decent offers.
Popped into a big Asda on the way home and for only 50p got:
3 x packs of hot cross buns @ 10p each = 30p
2 x packs poppy seed buns @ 10p each = 20p
Froze 2 packs of hot cross buns and some buns. I'll share 1 pack with the birds tomorrow.
Nothing bought in Debenham's tonight, but have a better look on Thursday (want a cheap bag) - possibly another Ikea breakfast day.
Too full to think of tomorrows food, but took out a quiche - maybe wedgers with it??
