    Hey gally
As such a bargain think you can put calories to 0 ! ;)
(dont quote me on that! I do have 10lb or so to lose so my maths may be somewhat out on this!)

    I agree!!

Although I have more than 10lb to lose so also may not be the best person to listen to :o

    Hi all,

Too busy shredding my garden yesterday plus taking boys to two different birthday parties in two different towns to post....

I made Flo's salmon quiche (3 eggs) on friday and we had it for lunch saturday. I used salmon trimmings from morries (66p) and there was loads. It was lovely and I have two pieces left in the fridge. I will be making that again and the boys have asked me to - result - thanks Flo (hope you are ok).

Friday we got HM madras curry out of freezer with three bhajis and one naan. Boys had pasta and smoked sausage with pesto.

Sat we ate the quiche and then hubby finished off a fish and chip meal for one while I took the kids to a party (middle son at home ill - OH cooked him a pizza but not well enough so it is in the fridge).

Today the boys had chicken burgers (using burgers and buns from freezer as well as wedges) and OH is currently cooking up a thai green chicken curry (3 chicken breasts from freezer and any left will go in freezer) - using up 4 veggie snacks and a naan. really hungry actually - hurry up and feed me!!

Although - I want to shift 14lbs and I need to low carb to do it and I know it will be hard as OH doesn't care how much he weighs. I am 10stone and I hate it. Wish me luck. gonna need it!!!!!!!!
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Gallygirl - I would say you got great value for money!!

I have had the flu type bug that is doing the rounds all weekend. Felt dreadful yesterday and a bit better today but my throat is soooo sore and painful, and my glands hurt. Didn't venture out to the shops yesterday but went to the little Tescos earlier to get some nice squash and diet lemo and throat sweets. When I was there I noticed that they had the finest caramalised onion sausages (don't often have them) so I got two packs and froze them. We have eaten out of the freezer and cupboards all weekend but when I got in from Tesco I just didn't feel like cooking and so ordered a takeaway from a new wingbox place. I only had a couple of bites though because it was VERY spicy and made me start to cough which hurt my throat. There is alot left so kids can have it tomorrow! Both kids have the bug too but of course their's is sooo much worse than mine;)

lip_stick you should definitely get onto care at the chemist - it really does save alot of money!

Edwardia - I really like Birds Eye beefburgers - haven't had them for ages though!

Lynsey - hope you don't miss your whoopsie hunting! Since my Tesco has stopped reducing their stuff down to 10% of cost I really miss it!

You must just have it mild. lol
Seriously though, all get better soon and everyone else suffering.

I'll still be buying "whoopsies" Jane, but it will no longer be a way of life as it has been. Most of rmy bargains have been from Sainsbury's, but not great of late. I no longer need to go out shopping at 7.30pm or later, but will if I'm passing at that time. I want to try Tesco, M&S and Asda a little more (for bargains) - but not 6 or 7 days a week. :D

gallygirl - I might try and visit the Nestle factory shop soon to have a look - you've inspired me. I was going to leave it until coffee stash goes down, but may go in a week or 2.
    Well done with your haul.

ms_night_ryder - happy Birthday to you.

katskorner - good luck with your weight loss.

Christi - welcome to the thread and good luck.

Took 2 ready meals out for tomorrow (1 veggie and 1 chicken lasagne).
Porridge for me and sausage, bacon and egg fo hubby.

Groupon meal on Tuesday if I can get booked tomorrow (another Italian). Hope some Chinese offers come in soon.

Evening all. Hope all are well. Had a nice day at York, bit cloudy and chilly when the wind got up but once you was walking around the little streets it was fine. Ds held a small owl for a photo, which then poo'd all over his ungloved hand. :rotfl:

Had pizza hut for dinner so not bothered with any tea. Got the rack of lamb with a herb crust out for tea tomorrow. Looking forward to that, with mash potato and veg. Need a few vegs for the rats while out tomorrow. Don't need much else.

Pay day tomorrow :j but trying not to spend! :(

Christi - welcome to the thread. :)

    Hi everyone,
Hope you had nice weekends! Right I am properly starting today. I got a HM moussaka out of the freezer for my lunch and am making risotto with both fresh and some leftover jarred (Lidl 24p) mushrooms.
So today I will use up 2 tubs of chicken stock out of the freezer, the rest of the jar of mushrooms, Moussaka HM ready meal and some fresh bits. Determined to make a dent in the stocks this week and keep away from the bargain bin/whoopsies shelf!!

Still can't face curry so they will all have to stay in the freezer until the tummy is 100% normal!!
Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.

Got some more baby stuff with coupons and BOGOFs should have been £20...got it for £8 :D

Also used more of the campbell's coupons to stock up on condensed soup at 49p :D

Given up on eating my way through what we have as I get flustered if I see my store cupboard dwindling but I'm buying things to make up meals rather than just because they are on offer if that make sense?

Not buying any meat until I've made meals of what we have got.

Tonight we will be having pasta (from cupboard), some mushrooms (just bought), bacon (from freezer) and the philadelphia that is due to go off this week (from fridge).

Morning all. Pay day today yayyy, and had a bonus in that I completely forgot about csa which has gone into my account so that's helped.

Went to Asda and bought peppers, courgette and broccoli as well as wraps and a couple of other things. Having the lamb tonight with Med veg and jersey pots.

Dinner is a haslet sandwich :o (don't care what anyone says, I really like it lol) and one of them new oykos greek yoghurts.

    Hi y'all :j

Lip_Stick - before I went all additive-free this Spring I used to love haslet - and brawn. My FIL introduced me to them along with pickled eggs which I had never eaten before either.

ammonite - you made sense to me ;) is the little fossil kicking yet ?

Christi - welcome to the thread :)

recovering spendaholic - hope you get better real soon !

katskorner - please can you come do my garden .. OH needs to get busy with loppers n weed burner and hasn't :(

Lynsey.. wazzup ? Stopping whoopsie hunting.. crikey

Abel & Cole delivery turned up today, all looks good and I got a note to say check online for a freebie - I got offered free eggs, milk or yogurt.

The organic Cheddar is on offer 360g for 3.59 (normally 3.99) whereas that nasty Cathedral City stuff is over £4 in all the supermarkets for 350g. So that's going on my list. OH thinking of cheese n Branston rolls already. Pity my OH didn't like the unsalted Yeo Valley organic butter we got on offer from Morries as it's 20p cheaper than all the supermarkets (not on offer either).

I reckon with £10 minimum order and 99p delivery charge I'll be able to do an order every week. I do think the veg is expensive though so I'll be shopping around.

Got their cookbook (not free tho as I didn't order a veg box) and it has some really nice recipes.
