Lynsey.. wazzup ? Stopping whoopsie hunting.. crikey :eek:The original prices should have been £34.49 and I paid just £9.29 for it all :j

Well done, great savings and I can believe how pleased you got. :T
You only need a "whoopsy" shop like that every few weeks and keep stock levels up with smaller "whoopsy" shopping.
Good luck with future savings.
Breakfast went as planned and had the cream muffin with coffee.
Put the lasagnes in shortly.
NSD as Brother didn't need anything and can get by until tomorrow with what I have.
Toasted tea-cakes for breakfast tomorrow, hubby promised to have some fish for lunch and hopefully I can get the Groupon booking confirmed - they'll not answer the phone!!
I fancy some crackers this week and also nuts and crisps.
I'm thinking of vol-au-vents with chicken in blue cheese sauce again one day and that's as far as I've planned.
BTW, that Lidl sausage wasn't too bad, just a little peppery (pork).
Lip_Stick - I used to like Haslet, not had in ages and used to be so cheap.
Hope all are well or at least feeling better.

Edwardia - what is up with Cathedral City cheese? I try to buy "natural" stuff but I do buy Cathedral City - is it not natural?
Had two sausages for breakfast and have just had boiled eggs for lunch and I don't want eggs again for AGES. I forget how they knock me sick if they are too runny ugh!!
We are going to a friend's for tea tonight and I really don't feel like going - I am still full of cold, but if we don't go she will get huffy as she has been looking forward to it and has made a special effort so we will have to go.
I need to sort out both freezers. There is lots of stuff in them but not really that much meat, so I need to do a shopping list.Jane

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Well today will be eating my now thawed river cobbler for dinner and found a lonely piece of cod in breadcrumbs while I was rummaging so OH can have that. Took some king prawns out for sandwiches tomorrow.
I don't think much progress will be made with the freezer in the next few days as I made a batch of chilli at the weekend that needs eating up. Will be having it for dinner tomorrow night (as will OH) and then I'll finish it off for lunch on Wednesday. I would freeze it but then it will lurk with all the other random freezer containers and not get eaten so best to eat it while it's fresh in my house!2015 Wins

Can I ask you philadelphia folks how you make a sauce with it? I melted mine down to put with the pasta veg and bacon, but it was really runny when warm but half way through eating went really dry (felt like I was eating flour and water!). Did I need to do something else with it? Sorry this is slightly off topic but its technically about emptying the fridge0

Went to my friend's for tea and she made us lovely hamburgers which she got in Lidl on the weekend half price deal - will have to get those next time!
On the way to her house I stopped at Lidl and bought this mini oven thing for £29.99 - it is an oven and grill but only small and uses loads less electricity than the main oven - It looks really nice in my kitchen so I am hoping it will save on the electricity!! I have some oven chips in there now - we're not hungry but I want to try it out!!
DD1 didn't come to my friend's with us so I left her some chicken fillets which I had defrosted and she made herself a jacket potato so that used up a bit more stuff.
My biggest problem is with my rice, pasta and packets cupboard which is overflowing! I think tomorrow I will use up some of the wholemeal pasta and make a pasta and tomato bake and have it with some pork loin chops.
I will need to go to the supermarket tomorrow but am going to make a list and stick to it!
Quintwins - I was wondering where Flo was too? Does anyone know?Jane

Aaaagh you guys bragging about your whoopsie bargains is not helping me with my yellow label addiction problem!!!;) I did buy a pack of two avocados from tescos earlier reduced to 50p from £2 odd. Love them so couldn't resist! However I left a chicken lattice thing and some other bits so was proud of myself!
Pleased with myself today-managed to use the bits up I mentioned earlier and planned tomorrow. Breakfast will be one of the Nutrichef fruit flapjacks from Approved Foods, Lunch will be leftover risotto from this eve and in the eve I am going to make pork meatballs with a spicy tomato and tamarind sauce as I have a jar of tamarind 'pachadi' to use up.
This will probably add one/two meals to the freezer but hey it's on the right track as it is using up the mince and the jar.Have far too many jars of sauces/ condiments/ pastes etc!Since starting again after beanie: June 2016: Child development DVDs, Massive Attack tickets. July: Aberystwyth trip, hotmilk nightie. Aug: £10 Hipp Organic vouchers, powerpack. September: Sunglasses. October: £30 poundland vouchers.0 -
quintwins - hope your suffering ends soon.
Soworried - well done again with your bargains - keep you going for a while. Great to see.
Spent £1 today and all reduced bargains.
Sainsbury's:
King Edwards (2.5kg) for 49p
Asda: (must go more often)
pack of 4 mini pork pies = 10p
4 x tri-colour rice @ 5p = 20p
2 x clementines @ 10p = 20p
yoghurt for 1p (lol)
Only bought the yoghurt to freeze (stuck a spoon in and put in freezer)
So £1 well spent and in Asda there were loads of things for 5p and 10p - missed the bread though!!!!!!
Try and get some carrots and swede tomorrow and may pop into Aldi.
Not much needed really this week.
Took out boil-in-bag kippers for hubby tomorrow to have with poached egg (need to buy eggs also). I'll have a scone for lunch as hoping Groupon will be confirmed (turning up anyway).
Toasted tea-cakes for breakfast.
