Well - today didn't go to plan! this morning DD2 refused to go to school and I had a dreadful time with her - this has been going on for some time and it is really stressful. She is not rebellious in any other way but she HATES school. She isn't being bullied nor is she behind with her work - in fact she has a really high iq and is on the gifted and talented list for all her subjects. I was so worried I just wanted to eat bits of rubbish and couldn't manage a full meal so I just picked all day. ex-OH came and took DD2 out so she ate at his, and I made a pork chop for DD1. I heated up some of the ASda microwave egg fried rice from the rtc and OMG the smell was something else! I couldn't serve it and had to take it out the wheelie bin as it was so awful. she had to have some hastily defrosted mash and peas with it.
Freezer is still full but with a few opening gaps (tub of ice cream almost finished, gap from the pork chops, and a tub of lambs liver which I got out for tomorrow).

I love liver and onions but neither child will even try it.

Florenceem - the prawn curry looks lovely - did you make it with raw or cooked prawns? Whenever I make stir fry and use cooked prawns they always end up REALLY rubbery!

Thank you for your interest in the research assistant role. I am attaching a job information pack, which should contain all fo the information you need to apply. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Quintwins - what kind of soup was it for 10p? well done on the swimwear and hat!!
Cooked prawns - agree about the rubbery texture but not too bad. I don't recall applying for a job - enjoying my retirement too much! :rotfl:

Hi all, hope all are well.

Lunch is noodles for ds and I. I'm having mine with Tom Yum soup. Not sure about tea today, looks like I'm going to the cinema tonight with a couple of friends and unsure what time we'll be going.

Hmmm a bit baffled too about what job Flo's applied for. I need a job tho if there's one going!

Lynsey - good to see you've got your chocolate, guess you can relax now. :D
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

I have no clue what I'm eating today, just for easy life I might have a jacket potato with cheese, with the Italian salad, will do 2 so I can have 1 for lunch tomorrow, do it in the oven, it always tastes better.

Popped out and got half price ribena, value Apple juice, so i can do the Bacon joint in sc sometime in the week.

Hi y'all.. have spent fruitless hours trying to fix VirginMedia and another technician will come out soon with a new Super Hub. In the meantime, as I have no Internet connectivity on my Vaio I'll be using OH's laptop..when he lets me !

My word, that's a lot of chocolate ! As a low carber I eat Lindt Excellence 90% cocoa dark chocolate (14g carbs for a 100g bar) and it's on offer at Sainsbury's to the 19th 2 for 2.50 instead of the usual 1.83 each. OH got me a fiver's worth :)

Bought a pair of black linen trousers from Sainsbury's 3rd June (25% off) and I've lost weight so although I've only worn them twice they are too big. OH thinks I should go rummage in charity shops until my weight stabilises.

I'm not exactly going short, been stuffing strawberries, cherries and cream after salad lunches and eating salmon and lamb out of freezer for dinner.

    Hugs to all ! xx

Thank you for the welcome :)

I wanted to take my son today for his first shoe fitting as he's started cruising and Clarks are currently having a sale but the weather is so pants I've decided to stay in.

I made the wrap pizza like I said and I quite enjoyed it, will experiment with more toppings at some point.

I'd best carry on baby proofing, my son is trying to escape into the kitchen via his walker but the safety gate is thwarting him :D
