Morning all.
This thread has made me chuckle this morning. With ms_night_ryder being preggers, Jane on her chocolate spread health kick, and Lynsey turning her nose up at size 8 bloomers.
Changed my meal plan yesterday and had salmon with pasta and philly. Wasn't that keen tho, needed something extra. ds fall to sleep and wouldn't wake up so he missed his tea, so it was a waste of nice salmon.
Tonight I'm having venison. Supposed to be two steaks in the pack but it looks rather small to be feeding my sis and I. Ds will be having ES sausages. Took some bacon wrapped stuffing out to help fill us up.
Going to go to Asda, need to change a father's day pressie. Will have a look to see if I can see any rtc stuff but doubt I'll get there before the masses swoop.
I think I'm addicted to Asda at the moment. Picking ds up from school yesterday I could hear it calling to me. I resisted going though, which I found really hard! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
We're having Sausages, scrambled egg, onion rings(rest of family) and mushrooms. Followed by low carb 'sponge'
Spending most of day jam making. I don't eat it myself but use to make jam tarts for DS packed lunch and I do hampers for the 'older relatives' at Christmas. I gave a jam hamper to a friend one Christmas and she liked it so much she has asked me to make her a selection of jam which she can use for presents. She is a vicars wife so has loads of people to cater for. This means I can enjoy jam making without eating loads of carbs.Weight loss 0/2st

Veggie day going to plan.
Had jam on toast for breakfast and for elevenses had a scone with jam.
Hubby off this morning and he had Linda Mc burger with OOD mozzarella (only just OOD).
Probably just snacking today.
Weather turned for the worse yet again, shame after yesterday. Just put heating on for an hour or so!!!
NSD so far.
Lip_Stick - I should have bought loads of those size 8 "bloomers" .................. I could have tied knots in the sides to stop them falling down. lol :rotfl:
Not too sure if I told you all, but half-price chocolate day tomorrow.

Saved myself some pennies by buying OH a birthday cake for £1.31 - should have been a tenner. Also "party food" has come out of the freezer, all was yellow stickered. Amazing how much you can save with yellow stickers, I need to go yellow sticker hunting more often.
Only have one more lot of chicken in the freezer then I need to become acquianted better with mince (which I don't like much but its cheap). In terms of meat we only have mince and sausages left (and fish but I've gone off that at the moment). May have to buy some chicken after pay day, will see how we get on without it until then!0 -
oh wow thats soup was yummy and only 10p
Went to town and bought some fruit, also a few wee tubs to putted fruit/rasins in when were out in the car over summer, then i found some reduced swimwear for 10p they only had bottoms so i got 3 now i need to find a cheap tankini top i don't care if it doesn't really match, ds3 decided he wnated a winter hat while we were at the til so i gave in since it was only 50p (it was massive one him) but it was acually only 10p so i got 6 more, so 7 hats and 3 bikini bottomes for £1.10
I was very restrained got some apples and oranges for £2.50 and thats it, mainly because i need to use up the stuff in the fridge tho lol.

lysney you do love your lidl deals
Lol. At least the Lidl half-price deals are genuine and based on regular prices which don't fluctuate week on week to allow fictitious discounts.
Great bargains with the swimwear - you could have saved yourself 30p by going to nudist beaches.
ammonite - well done with the cake bargain.

I've been bargin hunting today. I went to B&Ms and they had HP Lamb and rosemary sauces for 25p. I also got Whitworths stuffing mix for 19p. Then I went to Tesco and they had 400g blocks of mature cheese for £1.08 so I got two of those and I will grate and freeze them. They also had a packet of 9 chicken drumsticks for 84p.
I'm really pleased with my bargins.£36/£240

Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy puff pastry? I have just used our last block to make cheese straws while the oven was on cooking the chicken. I like to keep a few in as they make so many different things.£36/£240
