I remember I phoned the Council once asking if I could have a skip outside the front of my house.
The Guy said, "You can cartwheel down the street for all I care".
Sorry.

Weetabix for breakfast & tuna with pasta for lunch I think. Finish work at 6 then off to the theatre for a bit of culture. Get meGoing to be on the soft drinks (or ahem tap water) because on an early shift tomorrow....least it'll save me a few pennies
Oh here's a moneysaving tip from my flatmates: save money on washing up liquid by not doing washing up.

Well I've had some lasagne for lunch, with a ski mousse 4 for 99p in Mr s. I have no space in freezer, after putting, 5 cornettos, a tub if karmel sutra b&js and half a bacon joint in, u have no room for the bags of milk or any if the lasagne, so will have to eat it all this week, half a bacon joint in sc, lord knows whT I Will do with that once done. Have roughly 3-4 portions of lasagne left good job it is really nice, no more cooking for the next few days, on sun or sT will take out some rib s and make some cheese, chilli and sweetcorn muffins, hopefully will have space by then to freezeLose 28lb 3/28lb

Shampoo - I'm sure you can change your preferences, you need to get rid of cosmetics or lipstick.

hubby is very chuffed with my surprise weekend away and we are all really looking forward to it - just planning what food to take with us as caravan has a small freezer and decent fridge so probably will take a whole chicken for Sunday and cook it in our Remoska (the best invention ever) and have caravan chicken for dinner.
Of course breakfasts are the best and involve bacon, eggs, beans, toast and mushies as well as anything else I can muster - EVERY DAY - nom nom...
excited!
Ooh wish it was me. Loved our weekend away in a caravan we had last September. Def going again this year. Have Fun!Froze 1 bag so at least we have milk when back from hols.

Thanks Lynsey. Had thought I'd got rid of all favourites bar the shampoos but on further investigation I found some tabs I'd missed so clicked on them and voided some things and voila... shampoo coupons now there. :T
Awww everyones having holidays. Got to wait till back end of June for my happy hols to seaside.
DS decided he faniced a sweet treat so I rooted out some very old (:o) very cheap muesli and used it to make Twinks Hobnobs with. Drizzled with chocolate (2010 ) and are delish. Just had one or three with a coffee.
All the ingredients were OOD and from the basic or value ranges from supermarkets but they tasted like luxury cookies. Just goes to show.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

what a wet and horrible day today has been! Getting stuff together to go away but going to finish it tomorrow as the weather has got me down! Have spent a large part of the day searching for my old aulos recorder as DS2 is learning at school and wants to practice but they are not allowed to bring them home from school yet. You think I can find it? It is defo here somewhere....
Been a bit of a rough day today with one thing and another so feeling sad - such a contrast to yesterday.
Food for boys is going to be beans and cheese on toast as not feeling up for much and we will grab some chicken on croute and stir fry veg out of the freezer later.
Hubby going out after work as two colleagues are taking VR at the end of this week so no idea what time he will be home.
Gotta have the kids out for church clubs at 6pm and will get home around 8pm. Probably be done in by then.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

cheerfulness4 wrote: »I think I'll have the last slice of Victoria Sandwich with a film this afternoon while I finish hemming some dusters I've made from a pretty flannel sheet I got from a charity shop.
Lovely material, cream with little rosebuds on and the dusters could be straight out of a Cath Kidston shop window.
Seeing as the sheet cost me £1 and I'm getting dozens of things made from it it was a bargain. :T
I am very impressed!! I use old knickers to make dusters usually!!I've stopped eating anything Quorn now after finding out it has nothing to do with mushrooms and is actually soil mould fed on glucose in big silos ewww. This causes me a bit of a dilemma. OH doesn't like skinless chicken breast " cardboard " nor the idea of soil mould. We're just gonna have to keep stuffing freezer with duck legs anytime they're on offer.
Dinner now they've defrosted is yummy NZ grass fed loin lamb chops from Lidl. Definitely recommend them.
I agree with you about the Quorn - it is revolting stuff.
Finally got paid so did some shopping in Lidl and Aldi. Got enough to last the week, although I wasn't impressed by the meat selection in Lidl - not much choice - I must have picked a bad time to go as there was very little in the fridges.
DD1 is out for tea tonight so I did hot dogs for DD2 as a treat and I had a packet of pasta and sauce with added onions and a bit of grated cheese.
Anyone heard from Kirri? Hope she is okay.
i have got to go and see the surgeon about my operation on 15th May. I am dreading it - went in to have keyhole gallbladder out last year and went to theatre expecting to be out for about 40mins at 8.30am - At 2pm I woke up in the high dependency unit with tubes and drips to the news that the staple gun had broken inside me and they had to get it out and then sort out the mess which involved stitching up my stomach inside which had ripped. PLUS they hadn't removed the gall bladder!! Ended up being in for 8 days and had to go back for barium meals for weeks!
anyway - have now paid all the bills for the month :jbut haven't got an awful lot left for the rest of the month, but if I'm careful with the shopping I should be fine. Need to do a meal plan to make sure I use up stuff in the freezer and cupboards. Does anyone know how long you can keep fresh fish that you have frozen?
Fancy doing some baking tonight - might make some shortbread or millies type cookies.Jane
