    Morning.

AlwaysHappy - well done on the spaces and thanks for the meatballs reminder. Haven't done a meatball pasta bake for a while as miss the Lidl half-price meatballs. Got some Aldi ones, so will do that soon.

Porridge today as it seems another grey, cold, dull day!!
Some salad to finish, might have with baked potatoes for lunch and the pies tonight.
Baking some more bread later also, same recipe apart from upping the oats to 50g (400g flour).
Need to find a cheap filling for the vol au vent cases - 2 boxes taking up space as is the apple crumble box.
At least more going out of late than going in.

    Veggie day tomorrow.
Need carrots and eggs, might try and wait until Saturday. Sainsbury's tonight, just to look.......... and hope.

    Keep warm.

    Lynsey
Pack of salmon trimmings for Mr T - cheap and tasty for the fillings.

VfM4meplse - great olive oil bargain, might look later but got plenty and don't want to spend much this week and next - not being frugal though for terrific bargains just for the hell of it, that would be another "investment". lol

Lip_Stick - good luck with your course, hope it leads on to better and greater things.

Disaster again with the bread-making - done my "Party Trick" and forgot to put the ****ing paddle in again.
Remembered within 30 seconds and had to poke about to place it, hoping it hasn't ruined anything remembering so early, we'll see.
Could be another feast day for the birds. lol
Tweaked the recipe a bit, more milk (70ml) and the 50g oats, wanted to see the difference - always next time.............. if I remember the paddle!!!!

    Lynsey
Sorry! I did laugh about you forgetting the paddle!

GarnetLady - sorry to hear of your loss.

Re freezer - Mr F made a bit of space when he got out a pack of cooked meat for the dog. He also got out some salmon - so will have that today for dinner with HM wedges and salad - grated carrot/celery/cucumber/onion and tomatoes.

It was pouring and blowing a gale walking along the sea front from the station to Mil's flat on Wednesday evening. We had some chips out of Mil's freezer with pizza (taken with us) and baked beans for dinner - quick and hot.
Last night we had a nightmare train journey home - it was on the news about a lightning strike on an electricity substation. We stood waiting for a train for ages - got really cold. Dinner when we got home was chicken drumsticks/baked beans and a poached egg.
We are both shattered today - but - funeral went off really well.

Sorry to hear that Garnetlady xx

Back to my flat today. Rather annoyed that my flatmates have put their food on my freezer shelf BUT did stop me buying anything for the freezer in tesco :o

Got the basics, bread, milk, butter & cheese. And the not so needed: posh crackers & value chocolate bourbons :o But I had a £5 giftcard from surveying & a £2 tesco clubcard voucher. I also got some whoopsied hair dye (John Freida reduced to £3.50 because of damage to the box), cereal & a craft magazine which was on special introductory offer of 99p, came to £14.37 but £6.85 after using my coupons :T

    I've been Money Tipped!
Florenceem - stop laughing at my mistakes. lol :p

katskorner - good to see you getting better, sometimes you need those anti-biotics to clear things.

Got through our veggie day and haven't got a clue about tomorrow. Think I'll use the comp win and go for a free meal.

Spent another 88p in Sainsbury's tonight buying some Paul Rankin soda bread for 29p and a pack of keta salmon fillets reduced to 59p from £3. Just missed all the good stuff by about 10 minutes!!!
Florenceem - could use your tip and use the salmon for the vol au vents, make some kind of sauce maybe?? Prefer chicken in sauce though or prawn cocktail.
    £1.88 total spend today.
Got about £10 to spend tomorrow to keep it under £20 for the week, but not too bothered of going over for the right bargains. Lidl in the morning for some cheap bacon, might get the flat mushrooms and fill with blue cheese and bake.

Just taken some Peri Peri chicken out of the freezer plus some chicken for the dog. I need some space - want to make rhubarb crumble. I always make enough to freeze some.

Morning All! well, I can report - I can definitely see a little bit of space now (still a looooooong way to go), I have taken out for tomorrow - pain au chocolate for breakfast, quiche for lunch and a pork fillet for tea, oh and some beef burgers as my son won't eat quiche!! since I've been listing my "removals" it has made me realise even more how much stuff I have in there (yikes!!). Have a good day - the sun is shining here so long may that last.
