Off to stay in Mil's flat tomorrow ready for the funeral - going to take something easy with us - two hour rail journey with a dog! Mr F found some pizza in the freezer - so that is going to be Wednesday's dinner.
He also got out out some cooked chicken drumsticks to leave in the fridge ready for when we get home on Thursday evening. So there is a teeny bit of space in that freezer now! :j I need enough space to make a rhubarb crumble! :)

Blimey, this thread's going to turn into an M.E support group...another one here :o Doing an awful let better these days but it's a blooming awful illness...:(

Another bread run in the co-op & another 25p loaf :T Will be going back to my own flat on Friday....I know the freezer is full :o So got to get back to eating what's there instead of buying more stuff
  • Wish I could join you all, but that's not possible when you have young kids...

Once I came from holiday, fridge was empty, so I went to the supermarket and bought only what I 'can' eat (the idea was to lose some weight while my little daughter was away at her grandmas, and I was on my own).
I lost 7 pounds in 7 days quite easily. There were no things like fat cheese, deserts, etc in a fridge (usual stuff when you have kids), so no temptations.

You feel hungry, open a fridge to snack on something - nothing there (wel.. not really 'nothing', only healthy stuff, plenty of it. Eat it :)

This morning I have made a little bit more headway on the challenge - taken out a curry for tomorrow nights tea, and as my son won't touch it with a barge pole have taken out a chicken breast for him - can't honestly say I can notice much difference yet - though the drawers perhaps have packed flatter - still absolutely packed but I'm sure I'll make a difference soon. I need at least a whole basket empty in 3 weeks - yikes!! Have a great day everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning.
Woke early this morning, but still tired. May go back to sleep for an hour!!

London Mum - welcome, hope you continue to post, fully agree about "temptations".

AlwaysHappy - it does take a while to show the gaps, but yes, the drawers do open more easily at first!!
I need some gaps for next weekend in case Lidl have the chicken fillets on at half-price (6 packs of those please at least) - want more chicken in the freezers is possible, got more than enough beef and pork.

No NSD today as need milk and eggs really. Might go to Asda to get the £1 Branston beans as I've got a few coupons to use. Sainsbury's tonight for bargains only if any.

Morning all! Had a couple of NSDs recently :) mostly because we're skint! waiting for OH to get paid, which if he does means a trip to the shops tonight for steak, if not, Chicken chow mein from storecupboard and freezer for him and Fish and salad for me!

Will have to be inventive with his lunches tomorrow too if we've no money!

    Morning all

Ds and I had boiled egg and soldiers with mint tea to start the day. Realised I shouldn't have had egg as I was planning on frittata for a meal later, probably have to rethink that.

Going to stay in today and catch up with house work. Shed loads to do!

London Mum - know what you mean about little children being a hindrance to losing weight. Buying low fat and full fat versions of food isn't very good for the budget.

Lynsey - could do with half price chicken fillets here too.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Morning, cold and wet outside today here, refusing to put heating on as i am the only person at home, have a blanket over my knees, have leftovers from last night. instead of trying to find room in the freezers we are using them up tonight instead. will make a small salad to go with it, i will use that up as going back to lovely farm shop we found at the weekend and i will buy fresh again for next week.

    Morning all.

Well the aldi bread seems to have turned out ok, althoiugh i wont find out how it tastes until lunchtime as the OH has a roll in his lunchbox and i plan on having one with a tin of soup.

Prepared dinner so its lasagne made from some of the bolognese I batched cooked in March, lasagne from the cupboard and a jar of aldi lasagne sauce and I have made some cheese and chive soda bread (James Martin mix) to go with it which is now making the house smell good! It will be a lateish dinner as OH has football training tonight.

Energy has now gone (got a cold on top of the usual M.E stuff) so i'm sitting with a cup of coffee and watching tv (sounds horribly decadent when I should be doing more but did too much yesterday).

Have a good day, whatever you are up to :o

Know how you feel - awful when you have to just do nothing - why do I feel lazy at these times when I know it is the ME?
