Good grief, a bbq?? do you live in the mediterranean? Its cold and rainy here in Wales :(
And shouldn't it be you falling out with the cat? That's serious spends that!! :rotfl:But i hope she's better soon and forgives you :)

OH considers any weather when it is not actually raining, freezing or blowing a force 10 to be good enought to bbq:D. I've taken a two rib of beef we got cheap on Easter Sat to cook in the bbq tonight. We have a web*r kettle bbq and you really can cook anything and everything in it.
I think the cat is coming round but she is supposed to be resting quietly but is ignoring all instructions to do so.

Bought very little today, just fruit and veg and some fruit juice (some ordinary, some fermented) We've just eaten a Pizz* Expr*ss pizza I got reduced last week. I got 2 for £1 as th bogof still worked but if I had paid full price I would have been more than alittle disappointed - it was tiny.
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

    Lip_Stick - the theatre?? That's awfully posh!!. :p

The deed has been done, money exchanged and now the owner of another 10 Nescafe refills!!
£19.14 spent and included a 50p swede and a box of Baking Boy's muffins on offer @ 74p.
No bread run tonight and only Sainsbury's later for a wee look and to put lottery on.

By far both the biggest daily spend of the year so far @ £19.14 and the weeks total so far stands at £46.50 - still on track though and no more coffee to buy (unless silly offer) and quite a bit veggie stuff. Already well stocked on meat and fish.
    Coffee stash now stands at:
    14 x Nescafe refills (150g) 2.1kg
    1 x Nescafe jar 300g
    1 x Nescafe Black Gold 200g
    Total = 2.6kg
Plus some loose in canister and bits of fresh ground coffee.

Only posted the supply so I can monitor my coffee intake, see how long it lasts!!

Should be only fresh stuff to buy next week and maybe a pack of frozen sweetcorn. Set a £40 target for next two weeks to lighten the load on the budget. Away for 8 days in May, which swayed me into buying the coffee today, no spends that week, so spent it today!!

Weather is bright here, but still a bit cold.
No money spent on the Grand National, but hope a women jockey wins though and NO horses are killed or injured!!

Cook the pork in about half an hour, bigger than what I thought and may re-freeze once cooked - hate doing that though.

EDIT: No further spends, so weeks total a massive £46.50, but weekly average under £21.

Spent birthday money from MIL at Oxfam on books :D Got three for OH too, a book on de-stressing, another on low carbing for men and....... The Kama Sutra in Pop Up !! ;)

Wow Lynsey, that's a lot of coffee .. I think I'm easily going to save money on it especially as Lord Nelson peppermint tea only 69p a box in Lidl and very soothing. Supposedly good for the stomach too.

Grand National soon.. put £4 on ..

OH is making a veggie concoction for dinner using up aubergine, leeks, vine-ripened tomatoes and cheese..

^^ Lol @ pop up version!!

Feeling marginal improvement today, still can't get proper clothes on though or do anything.

Been having small light snacks with fruit inbetween and I intend to continue this extra fruit when back to normal and want to up my salad intake too. Has really made me consider absolutely everything I eat, I want to make quite a few improvements. Still no normal appetite - it's a good chance to overhaul things while I'm not eating sweet things or big meals. I've put on 5lbs since Tuesday  !!!!!! is all that, I am so distended still I probably shouldn't have stepped on the scales so soon!

Edwardia, hope your mum is ok, the hospitals seem to concentrate more on meds and don't seem to give time for anyone to see if they change things via diet first - though even someone super healthy can get it so guess they don't take chances.

I'm still not caught up on all the posts!

My mum has been doing some decluttering in my cupboards, fridge and freezer whilst here! So I am minus a few things that were a bit old now lol. She said I should throw everything in my freezer if I don't fancy it
  • hello everyone - hope it is nicer by you than round here - it is freezing and raining cats and dogs!!

    lost £15 on the National:mad:

Kirri - the increased weight is probably because they pump you full of fluid when you are under anaesthetic and it takes days for it to right itself. Sorry you aren't eating so good yet - NOTHING puts me off my food!! Last year I had a hysteroscopy and the Doctor (who looked about 12) punctured my uterus and I had a huge bleed - I had to be rushed over by ambulance to another hospital for treatment and blood and all I could think of on the way over was that I wouldn't get home for my takeaway tea that I had planned!!
Lynsey - well done on getting your Nescafe. I really don't like Nescafe - i usually buy alta Rica decaff but ltely have been having the Aldi blue top mixed with Carte Noir Instinct.
    .
Edwardia - hope your Mum is okay.

I made curry beef last night and we ended up having a bits and pieces tea so curry will be had tonight with some rice and naan bread. I am not usre that I feel like ti but that's what it is!

I have a loaf on the go in the breadmaker and might make a cake later as my sister is coming round this evening and I don't have any biscuits or anything in to offer her.

Am going to put the heating on as am freezing!

^ I hope not given how many orifices they seem to go in!!

Ah right, wish it would go, the weight gave me a shock despite the size of my abdomen, I am huge..
OMG! I had worries about them puncturing one of my organs too, I wonder how often it happens in reality as the odds are quite high, I'd read 1 in 200 for any of 3 organs in what I had. How did you think of food with all that?! I had a laparoscopy but the GA made me so sick I couldn't even keep a painkiller down! My poor body has really suffered all round, I'd read a lot but I wasn't expecting so many body parts to be affected!

Just managed my first hot snack with salad. More fruit later. I can't even eat normal size portions yet which is good really.

Re the Grand National for anyone interested, 2 horses killed, 2 under treatment according to Animal Aid :(

Been out so had no National news - hate it when horses suffer. I made Mr F go with me to buy him a new suit - the last one he bought - is way too big now. Mr F got a 42 jacket and 38 trouser - used to be a 52 jacket and 56 trouser! I want him smart for his Mum's funeral next week - got him to buy new shoes as well. Didn't spend any food money but out of my cooking equipment savings - I have lots of different saving pots/bags - I treated myself to some stainless steel Denby cooking utensils from the outlet shop. I thought - years since I had new - they will see me out! :rotfl:

Lynsey, well done on the coffee bargain. :T

BBBunny.. I hope you enjoyed the barbecue. You didn't sit outside to eat did you?

Edwardia I hope your mum manages to do what's needed to get herself better. Habits are hard to break sometimes.

Lynsey - well done on getting your Nescafe.

Sad news and something I feared. Can it continue in the current format??
Glad to see you recovering, step by step and you'll get there.
Braver than myself stepping on scales!!! Scales are for fish!!!!

No further spends, Sainsbury's had nothing of value again and not much reduced. They need to get their act together!!! :D

Florenceem - hope your hubby is OK.
" lots of different saving pots/bags" - love it, your posts have given me so much fun today - thank you.
BTW, have you ever used eggs with your bread-making?? Supposed to give a softer loaf?? Milk also, but no success when using milk in the bread-maker!!

Fingers crossed for the Lotto roll-over.
