Edwardia - Happy birthday chuck, hope you're feeling better soon.
Lynsey - 20 per week? I enter about 50 in a couple of hours.
Ok, off out now.. byeeeThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
thanks guys
me and my manager just dont get on, his 2nd day there he took me to the office to tell me i was agressive, he couldnt give examples or anything lol.
Anyway i work self employed as well as ft so i have called housing benefit, asked them if there was a penalty for quitting my job, even though im self employed because i know there is for jsa and was told i can apply straight away, so end of june im leaving, i do auditing and run a small ebay business, but i have dreams of another business and know if i had more time i could really dedicate my time to my new business and really make it work.
im not leavung because of my manager, just dont want to turn 30 which will be july and still working in this dead end job, we are having a reshuffle at the moment so there is a chance i could be made redundant anyway, if not i will leave.
feel so much better.
Happy bday edwardia, how old are you now?Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Made a really good lasagne tonight all with bits we had in. I used some sausages bought cheaply on Saturday as the meat bit, I took the mince out of the skins and fried with some onion and garlic. I did think about using a jar of sauce but then decided to be good and used a pepper that needed using which I roasted over the gas ring, then skinned and chopped and three tomatoes that needed using and half a jsr of sacl* tomato and garlic pesto. I layered this with pasta and then mixed the rest of the pesto with half a tub of cream cheese left from mackrel pate I made on Friday and used this to top the last layer of lasagne sheets and then grated some assorted bits of leftover cheese over the top and baked in the oven at 180 degrees. It was very nummy:DI was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly

Happy Birthday Edwardia, hope you had a great day :T
Good luck ms_night_ryder. I had to leave a previous job due to ill health, was very hard but in a funny kind of way, if I hadn't of gotten ill I'd most likely still be there. It gave me the push to try something new, and decided to do a degree. Was hard but am glad I was able to make that change (am in my late 20's so similar age to you).
Went on the Hotel Chocolat website earlier, hoping for good reductions but wasn't a fantastic selection. Got a few presents for people last year but thought it was disappointing this year. Anyway money saved!0 -
No more space in my freezers yet but - I did empty a small container from my food cupboard. :j
I used up a small amount of brown rice with some basmati rice then added garden peas. Served this with pizza and roasted mushrooms - done in balsamic vinegar/sugar/olive oil.
Tomorrow is rump steak - think I will do some HM wedges, baked onion and roast mushrooms - yes - got a few mushrooms to use!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Not at, work today, not feeling great, my colleagues keep telling me that my manager who I don't get along with keeps tLking about me behind my back, the last straw was him going. Colleague who had left that we were gossiping about her on facebook? i very rarely talk about work o. Fb and am not friends with my manager, not sure if i should confront hum, because he has lied to my face several times ibefore or just go straight to my union.
Sorry for going off topic, I managed to go all weekend wuthout thinki g a out it.
I work in HR and would advise you not to do anything in haste. Write down everything that has happened, even the trivial stuff and keep doing so, noting the date, time, what was said and who else was there. Go and talk to your Union rep and take their advice. Does your organisation have a bullying and harrassment policy? They have to by law have a grievance policy so get hold of both if you can. IMO the worst thing you can do is get publicly angry - just keep everything documented and act totally rationally at all times - this will help you in the long run.
Edwardia - happy birthday!! sorry it's a bit late but I haven't been on the computer all day!
Had a VERY expensive day - it was my sister's birthday so had to give £30 to her, plus I took her and her carer (she has Down's Syndrome) out for lunch, and as it is school holidays DD came too so that set me back another £40:eek: THEN to top it off both kids went out with their Dad for tea, only he didn't get them anything and they came in at 9 starving so I gave in and ordered a chinese for another £20:eek: Need to get back using up stuff in my freezer. I got some thin veal steaks in Watrose (reduced!) the other week and have got them out to cook, except that I haven't really cooked veal before - any ideas? On the plus side I used up four stale hot cross buns by making a bread and butter pudding which was yummy but totally calorific!
Didn't get back on the diet wagon today either - so back to it tomorrow!
Kirri - hope it went okay at the hospital - was thinking of you.Jane

Morning.
Kirri - thinking of you, hope all went well and looking forward to seeing you back posting.
Jane - wish you would post more, love reading your posts. I love reading all posts, but you appear so relaxed and laid back. Fully agree with your HR advice.
ms_night_ryder - good luck in the future, go on to better things.
blackandwhitebunny - that lasagne was a little different!!
Florenceem - steak, onions and mushrooms - classic. I have a few steaks to use up soon and it will definitely be with onions.
No extra spends yesterday and fully completed our "veggie day", finished off my noodles with a vegetable stir fry and now noodle-less - get some later.
Today, back to "old faithful" and a bowl of porridge for breakfast. Took smoked cod out for hubby and not too sure what I'll have yet, may finish off the last 4 fish fingers. lol
A few beans to finish off also, maybe beans on toast?? Also bean-less once the opened tin is used and not buying any until next weekend (£1 for 4 in Lidl for Branston).
Freezers emptying slowly, but emptying. Need frozen peas as used loads in stir fry's.
Probably pop into Sainsbury's later as sometimes Wednesday's and Thursday's can be good for fruit and veg "whoopsies".
