I think you'll be surprised at how quickly you heal, esp if it is keyhole. Have they indicated to you how many nights you'll be in for? And do you have anyone to help in case you need it over the next week?Surgery :eek::eek:Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I could be out same day as yes it's keyhole but as they don't know what is wrong I don't know what they will be doing to me exactly until I wake up and see what they have found, if anything, so that could change things. I have got help on standby this coming week though I'm more concerned about my pets than me!
Thank you katscorner, much appreciated
My cough has got really bad, probably due to the increased stress and lack of sleep and food this week, in a way as much as I don't want to go in, it will be worse if they cancel it because of that as I'll have all this horrible build up again, not to mention more expensive ready food to buy!!0 -
Evening all
For dinner I decided to have ravioli that'd been hanging around in the cupboard for a while. For tea I cooked up some new potatoes for a potato salad. Made it with a couple of tbs of olive oil, the green shoots from spring onions, capers and parsley with mayonnaise to bind and a bit of black pepper. Ds loved it! Served it with salad and a burger.
Should be payday tomorrow so plan on taking ds to soft play and having tea out. Need to get something light for meals, sick of heavy fattening stuff lol. Will have to put cuppa soups on the list.
Kirri - wishing you well for tomorrow. good luck. xThere's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
though I'm more concerned about my pets than me!
Bless you.
Had some raspberries (Spanish) with whipped cream and they were lovely - well worth the price!! Should have bought more!!
Tomorrow is "veggie day" and brunch for lunch (a bit of rhyme), Linda Mc sausages, egg, fried onions, beans, fried bread, and tomatoes (grilled or tinned). Maybe a quick veggie stir fry later and finish off the noodles?? Or perhaps just a cheese salad?? Toast or toasted hot cross buns (again) for breakfast.
Lip_Stick - done a few comps, just waiting for my email (or phone call) telling me I've won a holiday. lol
I need a new car, that'll be next!! :rotfl:

If you win a car lynsey, don't forget who talked you into comping!

Are you on Facebook? Most of mine have been won through that... in fact I think all of them have. Have a different account for comping tho, but some people have had it disabled. I've not had any probs though. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. kirri - hope everything goes well tomorrow
lip stick - do you have to use your real/full name on facebook ? i am not on it , but would like to sign up, but just for comps and freebies , their seems to be loads on facebook ,
went to coop to get orange juice for MIL , and ended up getting a large topside joint , potatoes , carrots , spinach , spring greens , grapefruit juice , crisps , oranges , apples , pot of salad , pot of fruit salad all reduced
OH made a couple of phone calls to the family , and all of a sudden i am doing an impromptu full roast dinner for 10!! , dd2 did wash up , and ds1 bought a bottle of wine
i did a rough cost estimation with what we bought today , and stuff i used from cupboards , and it cost approx £13 so £1.30 a head , and enough meat left for me and oh to have sandwiches tomorrow , so not bad
and truth be know it was lovely to have a family meal , just a shame dd1 and family couldnt make it .AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0066

Hi dawn. Yeah you have to use your real name. You can set your privacy options so people can't see you if they search for you, etc. Also there's a thread in the comping section of people to add on fb so you can share comps etc. hth.

You did well cooking for that many people at that price! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
I am not winning the empty the freezer race - four cooked sausages /bag of HM pastry out - one pie made. We had pie for dinner today but two tubs of pie to fit in the freezer now! Tonight I took out two portions of pizza for Tuesday's dinner & some rump steak - for Mr F's Birthday meal on Wednesday. In the resulting gap I fitted one tub of pie but the other container is in the fridge. I won't be able to fit that tub in until I take out a dinner for Thursday! Then - there is a large portion of steak - we won't eat it all!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Kirri- hope everything goes okay at the hospital.
Cheerfulness - all that talk about offal and other animal bits reminded me of when I was little as my Dad used to make brawn, pressed tongue, pigs trotters and stuff like that all the time. it all used to knock me sick and I have NEVER tasted black pudding - the look of it is enough!!
Yesterday I made pork - i got a large piece in Aldi and it was absolutely lovely - only cost £6 and there is loads and loads leftover. i used some of it to make pork in barbecue sauce for tea tonight - we had it on ciabatta. I made the ciabatta using some of the wrights mix, - I took your advice and made the dough in the bm Lynsey and then shaped and baked the rolls in the oven - they were fab!!
I made a cake for afters yesterday - used up cupboard ingredients and chopped up one of the kids easter eggs to fold into the mixture! It was nice.
We didn't have many easter eggs - I got the kids some Avon make up and they were more pleased with that then they would have been with chocolate.
I now need to get back on the weight loss wagon!! Starting tomorrow i am cutting out sugar and bread!Jane
