    Evening all

Feeling a bit rough after my dentist appointment. Blinking headache down one side of my face. Ds is at the folks so just me to cook for tonight, may do the chilli I planned but feeling shattered, not sure I can be bothered with much cooking.

Just caught up on the final of Masterchef, anyone watch it? Was good to see a woman win for a change, thought Tom would win.

Lynsey - mine worked fine in morrisons. Could it be to do with the size or print quality of your vouchers? Out of order too for your dentist to not contact you!

BE - hope all is well now.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

It sounds like you need an ice-cream milkshake for dinner. Can be drunk through a straw and will numb the pain ;).

  • Evening all,

Thanks everyone for your concern, today had been a better day & I'm feeling great.. god what a difference abit of sunshine can make :)

Porridge for breakfast, dd had cereal
    no lunch
Pizza from the freezer for dinner, something quick as dd has beavers on a friday

Lyndsey, I used a few of the wrights coupons in Morrisons tonight with no probs at all, they all scanned ok, hopefully make some rolls 2moro if I get chance

Have been shopping whilst dd in beavers. Really pleased at money isn't as tight this week so had a decent budget to spend but only spent £15.08 :j
I shouldn't need anything now until next weekend including milk as I bought enough to last the week.
This challenge has really made me think about what I spend now and how I can stretch things, anything I save is going into my bedroom pot. Every room is decorated apart from my bedroom & I think it's about time I got it sorted, hopefully once its looking beautiful it won't be the dumping ground for everything!! lol

    Hope everyone is good!

Had a good shop at Morrisons tonight. Got 5 beef joints reduced to half price - phew! Was down to my last two joints and getting panicky that we would be on toad in the hole for sundays till more 1/2 price reductions. :p

Got mum and dad one too so dad happy as loves beef. He returned the favour with a cheap duck he managed to get for us which I hadn't known about. :D

Used the free pack of huggies coupon to get nappies for my son's newborn. :T Every little helps for them.

Including the above I was able to get £8.50 off my shopping in coupons, which was great because everything was either on offer or reduced to half price. Love couponing with offers. :p

Will have more spends this weekend as have some coupons going out of date in next few days that I plan to use. Most non-foods but I might hit Morrisons again for the Wrights bread mix and Oat so simple.

Tescos is going to get the benefit of my customer ( and coupons ;)) in the laundry department.

Not actually bought any real food for this week, apart from a box of Oatso simple. We have everything in already. :D

    Evening all.

Thanks for all the Wright's updates, must be the way I'm printing them or my inks are poor, last few things I've printed have been a strange colour!!
I'll try a single straight print tomorrow and see the difference from multi-printing. Much easier when the scan.
Kirri - I use the self scan check-outs sometimes, just ask the assistant to put them through.

Edwardia - yes twice now not requesting payment, but today was an error and he was very apologetic and he's nice. lol
Next appointment is Wednesday after my hols (4th April) and he'll definitely want the rest then!!!

Lip_Stick - sounds like my Dentist appointment went better than yours. :D

cheerfulness4 - well done on your meat bargains, lovely to see.

Thank you for posting that as I feel very much the same, it has been an education, an education in being frugal. It's really amazing what can be achieved with some effort.
We used to try a week with a budget of £20 just for a laugh and sometimes failed, but at the minute with the tips and tricks learned from both her and the coupon thread, it really is a new way of life!!
I really don't think I want to go back to "normal" shopping now, I want to get things as cheaply as possible all the time and I'm prepared to put in the effort.
You can still eat well cheaply, I know that now.

BTW - hope you are well.

Morning all, hope everyone with dental woes feels better soon !

Just about to go to bed after watching Breaking Dawn Part One.. Eclipse had fight scenes, I don't think Jasper Hale (Jackson Rathbone) said more than four words in the entire movie and CGI wolves don't do it for me. Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) does spend quite a bit of time running around in cut-offs if you're Team Jacob. Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) was a cute teenage vampire in Twilight 1 but in this he behaves like a pompous !!! going on forty. As for the depressive Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is that what they're calling acting these days ? Impressive set decoration, if I had the money I'd buy the Cullen house. All in all, disappointing.

    Shopping today..

Wow Lynsey, it sounds like a job to rival the San Francisco bridge! You'll need the chocolate just to keep your energy levels up!

Have decided to stop buying cheese on the grounds that it's too expensive for something I eat so mindlessly. Will get milk, grapes and chocolate from Lidl before I go home this afternoon...the freezer is stacked with goodies again because of my marathon cook-in last week, so just a trip to the fruit stall for me tomorrow I think.
