VfM4meplse - if I attempted to make butter I know it just wouldn't work.
I would love to see it live though, sounds pretty amazing.............to my simple mind anyway. lol

Feeling better, not really bad, just this burning throat which keeps coming back!!

VfM4meplse - how are you BTW, you were "iffy" at the weekend??

As you live pretty near, would it be possible to pop down and get your OH to make me some butter next time I find reduced cream . lol :D

BTW, how much cream would you need to try this??

    Evening all.

Ds' parents evening went well. She seemed pleased with his progress. He isn't shy and has a couple of girlfriends. He's always been a ladies man though despite only being 4!

Had Pad Thai noddles for tea, not nasi goreng as I'd put I was having previously. Enjoyed it but de-threading prawns is a PITA.

Didn't get as much done today as I thought I would, as I went to meet a friend and ended up chatting to her while at Asda. Bought a load of ES mozzarella that was half price. I absolutely love it, and I figured it was half price as they're discontinuing it! Bought 5 lots... anyone know if it can be frozen? lol. Also bought some camembert for half price and saint agur or something which is a spreadable blue cheese and is gorgeous at 80p, normally £2. Also bought tea bags and pop from home bargains.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

Mozzella is fine to freeze. When you want to use it just let it defrost, cut the corner off to drain the liquid off then use as required.

Thanks Denise, something I never knew, but wondered about.
Mad now at all the times I never took the Sainsbury's "whoopsies" mozzarella because I was unsure due to the liquid!!

Thanks!!! Didn't think I could otherwise I'd have bought more lol. My mam doesn't like it, says it's bland, but to me it tastes like cream with a hint of cheese.. yummmmm. Really hope asda aren't stopping it! It's the proper buffalo mozzarella btw, hope that doesn't make a difference.

    Does the texture change??

    Just finalised Feb spends:
£75.23 (£40.43 food & £47.80 fruit & veg LESS £3 LV's and £10 Milk&More credit). Bit up on Jan spends but still pleased with the reduction compared to 2011.

Am expecting March spends to be as low, I still have plenty of stuff in I can make use of.

I've frozen mozzarella before & haven't noticed that it changes the texture...I do tend to freeze goats cheese as well (after grating it) as I can't get through a block that quickly.

Lip_Stick - loved the ladies man comment :rotfl: I used to volunteer with young children as a teenager & fondly remember a little boy who'd go up to the girls & put his head on one side while looking at them, I think he realised this made him look even cuter!

lol lyra, bet that little lad was cute. My ds was at a party and had 6 girls on the go, all older and he was only 3! He's a softy tho with his friends, but he is a boys boy too... he loves battering me in the morning playing the hulk.. so he's not too soft.

At nursery he kept getting bit by a girl, happened a few times. Now he's in the first year of school and he saw her in a shop. She ran up to him and threw her arms around him and gave him a big cuddle... so cute lol.
