    Thanks Wendy.
BTW, what was your meat offer last weekend?? Mine was chicken drumsticks, which I declined.

It's killing me not knowing, definitely going later as will be in the area.
    Terrified it's something I don't want!! lol

You may need to open in a different browser, seems like there has been an issue according to the coupon thread.

BTW, have you scrolled up and down the whole page once registered?? You should find the print coupon option.
Or go back to home page and re-do.

    Good luck.

Bit naughty today. Went to the little co-op near me for the 1st time & it was surprisingly good. Got whoopsied bread, mozzarealla & stiry fry sauce. Also got bread rolls which was the only thing I went in for  So again, my freezer is full, no more food shopping!

Anyway, today I had a jacket potato with the mozzarella. Total cost: 32p, potato was from friend's allotment so only had to pay for the cheese :j

Pleased with the bread though, won't need to get any for next week.

Tomorrow going to have one of the horrible value chicken breasts with a tin of tomatoes, veg & herbs, baked in the oven. Will have it with pasta & the rest of the mozzarella.
  • I think it was the drumsticks. I do not buy much from there but always look in the leaflet (and check recipes on their web page). I do buy the prawn rings when on offer but have kept away because MY FREEZER IS STILL FULL even though I am trying really really hard, even the overflow one is still full, and a friend gave me a frozen pie the other day. Oh dear.
  • Went to Tesco today, but went to the Formby one, which is further away, but a much nicer store with more stock. I racked up a horrific £109 worth of food but had coupons so only spent £71 and I got alot of stuff!!! As you go in the door there is a price drop leaflet which has 10 £1 off coupons in it - I wouldn't buy all the things with the £1 off but the £1 off any cheese is good - I got the £3.99 Cathedral City on bogof and then got £1 off, did the same with £2.99 bogof Yoo yoghurts - £1.99 for 12 twinpot yoghurts!! Also had £1 off frozen food, £1 off veg and others: £1 off:
    Hot deli
    simply cook
    ready meals
    Big and Fresh eggs
    energy drinks
    apples and pears
    broccoli, cauliflower or sprouts
    Any cheese
    any yoghurts
    frozen food

Also the Fairy platinum liquitabs are better than half price plus there is a £1.50 off coupon on the coupon thread so that makes them £3.50 for 30, which is the cheapest I've ever been able to get them.

After I had been in Tesco I went over to Waitrose and the bargains there were really good, even that early in the day. I took advantage of the multi-buy discounts still applying to reduced stuff so got some good bargains. Plus on the butchers counter they had osso bucco for £3 a kilo and pig cheek for £3 a kilo - both from outdoor bred rare breed pigs - I got some of that and will cook it but won't tell the kids what it is!!

The bacon is Waitrose is also 33% off which made that much cheaper than Tesco, plus it is lovely bacon. They also have the no-drain tuna in brine for £2.84 for three tins - it's £4 in Tesco.

I have just made a list and now have at least 30 meals in my freezer!!

Off to look up some recipes for osso bucco!

Lynsey- I get the weekend deals e-mailed but they only come through on a Thursday - My store never seems to have anything very brilliant - we haven't had the chocolate!

My Lidl meat offer IS the diced chicken breast - so 6 packs of that please.

Jane - with the cheese offer at Tesco, if you buy one other cheese item to take it over £8 you can use 2 x £1 coupons. lol
I've just bought the cheese offer, but added 2 extra cheeses to make 2 over £4 purchases, it doesn't recognise the multi-buy and goes through.

    Tesco - sub-total £32.56
    - muti-buy - £9.98
    - 8 x £1 SSM coupons - £8
    - 2 x Tesco £1 cheese coupons - £2
    - Tesco £3 off £20 coupon - £3

    Total paid = £9.58

Most of it was non-food, so days food and drinks = £4.76 after coupons deducted.

Sssshhhhhh. Only a few (quite a few) packets with my coffee...........I don't take sugar in coffee, but it comes in handy. lol
I know an old dear who saves up sachets of brown sugar all year from Wetherspoons etc and gets enough to make here Xmas cake!!

    NSD today. :j
Looked in sainsbury's late on and all they basically had was loads of double cream again..........300ml pots for 10p - walked away and spent nowt.
Great start to the week, only 38p spend so far on food........plus my bottle of wine.
Shopping tomorrow though, back to Asda for another 2 handwash thingy's (if in stock) and then on to Tesco to use up some more coupons. Some more hot cross buns if still 50p!! Probably the 240 box of Tetley teabags also.
Not feeling great, a little off colour, so fishcakes and apple crumbles tomorrow for lunch.

Hope you feeling better Kirri after your experience.

bramble1 - those pies sound nice, we need a local Waitrose!!

Jane - hope that toothache eases - hate toothache.

    Lynsey
Hope you feel better? Bit surprised about walking away from the double cream, I thought you would have whipped it into butter and frozen it!

Great tip about the sugar and Christmas cake lol!
