Morning all... half term this week so it's a relaxing morning for myself and spud. Just sat having a cuppa before I dive into the lego with him.
Going to Asda later to get butter and a few bits and pieces. Will have to check out the coupon thread out in a mo.
Breakfast has been a pear
Dinner - Jacket spud and tuna, or eggy bread and beans.
Tea - Haggis with parsnip, mash and carrots.
Not sure what I can do this week with ds that won't cost too much - a trip to the park I think, and there's a small nature reserve near my parents' so could take him there. May need my wellys for that one though! Hopefully the weather will be ok for most of the week.

I had this experience with Mince I bought from Sainsburys recently. I wrote them an email to complain about it and they put £10 worth of Nectar points on my card. The mince only cost me £1 odd reduced, but as i said in my email, its not just the mince its all the other ingredients you put in with it hat essentially ruined aswell. Give it a try?June GC £130.93/£150Wedding Date Set 13th October 2012 :T0 -

Did you get the free Oral B and Sensodyne ones too? I keep getting so many samples I've not used the ones I bought!!
Yep, just like buses (and men apparently)
Got home today not feeling so great, so had an aunt bessie toad in the hole from the freezer. Was ok, not too bad for a ready meal, but only got it as I had a 50p off coupon....did make me think, if you're a family of four, getting 4 of those full price would be over £6, and I had mine with just veg but the men in my family would need potatos of some sort...would work out pretty expensive :eek:0 -
Made the salmon pasta which was lovely, only managed to mal 3portions with half a tin of sweetcorn, half tin of toms herbs spices etc, wasn't loads of salmon, but ah well, used some wholwheat pasta I have about 6bags, did half ww and half white, didn't have much veg in, will go sainsbos, shortly, did have ocean pie and chips for lunch, everything today has been from cupboards and freezer, when i get back from my friends, I will probe have an apple and satsuma or something light, not got much in, am planning to stock up on pay day using a sainsbos £10 off £50 online shop, that should stock me up on meat and tins.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

Lynsey - where are the vouchers for the free fairy liquid? I have looked on the coupon thread and can't find it. could you point me in the right direction?
I was so angry about my tasteless meat that I took the wrappers into Sainsbobs this morning and they gave me a refund, no questions asked. Then I went and got a few bits with the £10 - toilet rolls, feminine hygiene stuff (costs me a fortune for me and two girls!! roll on the menopause I say), pasta and sauce, stork, milk, chocolate chips (on offer 53p) and some frozen diced veg (celery, carrots and onions - lasts ages and saves all that chopping, plus I think it works out cheaper)
When I got home I just couldn't bear to throw out the stew so I painstakingly fished out all the bits of meat (discarded the potatoes and carrots as they were all mushy) and then put it in a fresh casserole with a couple oxos and some water and braised it for another 4 hours. Just taken it out and it seems like it is much more tender, so when it is cool I am going to make a steak pie. I have also made a lasagne today using frozen bolognaise sauce from freezer and 36 cupcakes - 12 vanilla, 12 chocolate chip and 12 double choc chip with coconut. Will freeze them individually when they are cool. all 36 only cost me about £1.50 using the reduced choc chips, stork and sugar and flour and eggs from stores.
DD2 will have the lasagne, DD1 will have some steak pie (I am going to do individual ones so will freeze the leftover ones) and I am having cauliflower and broccolli cheese bake- yum! There will be portions of lasagne and also cauli cheese left over to freeze so that's good! Afters will be a heated up chocolate coconut cupcake with ice cream and chocolate sauce.
Just off to investigate the coupons!Jane

The week before Christmas I bought a whole Scottish responsibly sourced salmon at Sainsbury's for 14.27 and had the fishmonger cut it into steaks. The head and tail were used for fish stock. Tonight two of the steaks are going in the oven in foil with lemon and black pepper. OH feeling tired so he's nipping round to Tesco Express to pick up hollandaise sauce instead of making it, using Clubcard vouchers printed off from tesco.com at the weekend.0
