  • lol you 'll do fine on it, Quintwins. I'm a lapsed member who just re-registered online last week with my DH and son. Shall be interesting to see how we manage AND clear our freezers out.
I'm a terror for the end of day bakery bits reduced and I dont think the scales will appreciate that! :p

Having said that, I used to 'budget' for a custard doughnut every Friday night round the telly. I know how to live. :rotfl:

Finally got round to updating my stats on spending. Running rich of my targets but this is because I'm not yet seeing the benefit of DS1 leaving home yet.
He and his partner have just had their baby this week and are struggling (agency work ended now :() do we've stocked their cupboards while they get sorted.

Does anyone know what the Lidl's offer sausages are like?
I've noticed that Morrisons have their cumberlands @ 99p on offer and they're fine but Lidls are that bit cheaper.

thanks cheerfulness we can do it together, i think i'll be ok with my freezer as it's full of meat lol so i'll be ok for red days for awhile, i'm still used to the old slimmingworld from when we did it before (not for long as i got pregnant and the kebab cravings took over), hubby gets lunch at work tho and i'm gonna have to start pushing him to eat breakfast even if it's just fruit, he isn't keen on yogurts and if it was up to him he'd do atkins, to be fair he lost 5 stone on atkins before he met me, but he doesn't like veg so i really don't think a diet of just meat eggs and cheese is god for him

having a freezer meal tonight. YS and frozen crispy chilli beef and special friend rice with a small portion of homemade and then frozen sweet & sour chicken. Home prepped prawn crackers and mini spirng rolls from the big packs of asda frozen snacks I had for a couple of quid at Christmas. Kids are making their own pizzas with pizza bases I bought cheaply ages ago and lots of topping from the fridge / freezer.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Yep quintwins, we'll keep a watchful eye out for each other so that we stay on the short and narrow. lol
My two prefer green days. Not the veg you understand (perish the thought!) but the pasta, rice and tatties. :D
They WILL eat veg this time. I shall hide it in everything. :p

I have to confess that I used to know the syns value of nearly every instore bakery product in Morries, tesco and Asda. :o (wish I could find that list) :rotfl:

I am thinking of joining weight watchers but worried about not being able to eat the things in my freezers and cupboards - we keep lots in! What to do?

  • katskorner - not too familiar with WW but maybe count points instead of syns and try your best to eat healthily 80% of time? That's my aim. :D

  • DH has had tinned spaghetti and pitta breads out the freezer for lunch but it might be the last tin of spaghetti so need replacing, and I've taken a packet of sausages out of the freezer for 'hotdogs' before we go to the charity quiz tonight.
However I do have half a huge chorizo to portion up and put into the freezer - whoopsie from Sainsbobs.:o
I was off to conquer the world but I got distracted by something sparkly :D

Only got kitchen towel and Ecover toilet cleaner from Morries, both on offer, and a cucumber for the pets - gone up to £1 so will have to see if anywhere has them cheaper! Resisted the veg sausages for today as I do have other things I should eat first, wish I'd got them now though...

Might have omelette, peas and potato wedges with mayo for dinner - picked up more from my allotment store.
  • Kirri Im sure cucumbers are 59p in Lidls, I think the other week they were only 39p. Plus they tend to be bigger than SM ones

Thanks, I may have to investigate, it's a much longer walk but I get through 2-4 a week so soon adds up!
