    That's right. I used 3 laptops/netbooks to get 5 coupons (1 messed up) - 2 per laptop.
Initially I put one through and then the Guy and Girl on checkouts put the rest through in 2 transactions - worked OK, though I did ask if they had to be put through individually.
You never missed much TBH, very nice though, but very small.
Good job they were free, they'll never sell at £1.19!!

Also they were nearly 500 calories each I think it said!!

I bought minced turkey and diced turkey to use in things like turkey curry at Christmas since we usually have duck not roast turkey. I bought some, OH bought some too = too much turkey stashed in freezer. Having turkey curry tonight with curried vegetables. Verry fed up with turkey..

A big NO, it's a hard thing to do.
Cleared a bit space this week with plenty of bread being taken out and no Lidl this weekend as it's sausages.
May do another "bread run" on Saturday night at Morries.
Took out some pies and pasties for tomorrow and hubbys is having a roast garlic and mushroom pappardelle pasta meal from Sainsburys (29p). I'm not hungry and feeling a bit under the weather......again.

Spent another 79p in Sainsbury's tonight on a pack of garlic and parsley chicken kievs, not great, but fills a little gap in freezer!!

Gailey - are the sausages on offer at your Lidl??
Cheap things to stockpile with?? A dozen packs would last a while and there are 3 varieties to choose from.
Good luck with your stockpiling, just build up gradually, especially the non-food items. Once you start couponing, it's amazing how much "stash" you build up in no time. I wish you well, you deserve to succeed due to the amount of effort you put in.

That'd be a definite NO. Given the chance I buy far too much than will fit in my freezer. Lately though I haven't had the chance. :(
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

I've still not used the peanut butter but you've reminded me I must do something with it! I've never watched Lorraine Pascal, she looks a bit 'simpering' but maybe I'm wrong! I thought she might annoy me like Nigella!
I like watching her, I just can't believe with her model body she actually eats what she makes!! Like Nigella, her food is believable. Unlike Nigella, she doesn't seem to love herself! Late Nigella is embarrassing to watch compared to her earlier shows, when she is very matter-of-fact and practical.

Doing well here in using up stocks and v little waste so that is good!
Have had a few shopping trips tho so that has slowed the process down somewhat and definitely not alone to those who get seduced by more bargains!!
Using up the last of some free cereals (shreddies) and had to bin half a pack as it was going stale (may have had it over a year tho!!) loads of bread and soup in freezer so some taken out for lunches next couple of days, leftover pasta bake for dinner tomorrow too and some fruit which was free!
Made a roast the other day and froze some (cooked) roast potatoes- no idea if this can be done , was thinking I could defrost and microwave next roast dinner we have (they may be a bit soggy I guess) - any success stories/words of warning on that one? ...
Hoping for a cheapish month next month, still got a load to get thru - am wondering what life would be like to see the back of my cupboards/freezer.... :rotfl:

  • Hey all, I'm doing really well in using up stocks, over the weekend I used up 5 fish fillets, cod, salmon and mystery fish, those were used for lunches for 2 days, today I have been at home as not feeling good, i used a weight watchers meal for lunch had the remainder of the freebie ice cream, was lovely, rum and raisin and a peach soever, the ameretto bit git eaten very early as was yummy, als took out pack if turkey, ham and cranberry sausages and stuck them in the George foreman, had 2 for dinner, took out 2 whoopsied wholemeal rolls to have tomorrow for lunch, my meat drawer is emptying nicely.

Great thing is I have loads of space in meat drawer now, gonna take out the last bit of pork joint at weekend and do a slow cooker pulled pork, it's ine of my favorites, gonna have it with home made coleslaw and some of the never ending oven chips, meaybe buy some sweetcorn on cob, I have loads of veg courtesy of whoopsies, on second thoughts, I may have some baby potartoes roasted in a bit of salt and herbs,s i bought some whoopsied last week that will need using up, i am still way within my grocery budget which im pleased about, going to POP to Asda in Friday for some of their £.1 belvita biscuits, will check out their whoopsies too, feels like I haven't had Ny good whoopsies in a while on the look out for some bargain meat, whatever I don't use of my gc budget this month, will put towards stocking up on meat next month, will alsi get some beans for a nice beans and frankfurter brunch with some plantain and bread over weekend, yummy, shouldn't spend more than a few quid in what I need.

    Morning and welcome dawn1.
Well organised ms_night_ryder and I'm going to change my chips for roast baby potatoes (thanks) I got "whoopsied" the other day. Balance out the calories with the pies!!
Bacon sandwich for breakfast and Groupon meal tonight, so easy day. Try a few supermarkets on the way home for bargains, but I'll be very selective - still take anything nice though.
I need milk today, some carrots if I pass Morries and some ice cream if any decent offers.
Need to make the apple turnovers today and use that pastry up, do that at lunch time and have hot with cream.
