haha yeah will probably end up doing that, and yes I agree with you about the price, and at least Asda washes the veg! It's all organic though, fresh from the farm. Can't believe some people pay nearly £13 for that! :eek:There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Spent £4.16 today on basically junk!!!
Went to Tesco to use my £2 voucher and saw they had reduced the Heroes (tins) to £2.50..............so that's where the £2 voucher went. A tin of Heros for 50p.
Got some Vitalite from ASDA, £1 each there and bought 2 and used 2 x 30p coupons.
Got some Red Sky crisps from Home Bargains as I was passing and a couple of bits and bobs.
whmf00001 - Morries coupons?? They'll be the ones for the Persil (£1 coupons) and the Surf (from Unilever VIP on Facebook for £1).
Groupon - I'll pm you.
gailey - Lidl have half-price crisps this weekend.
Lip_stick - just had a bacon sandwich..............but mine was full of bacon, Lidl medallions. lol

I'm a little behind, so please forgive me if you've forgotten you said all this stuff!Breakfast today - hm bread toasted with peanut butter - didn't really like this... but have a half a jar left that I bought for a recipe (also didn't like the recipe) so wondering what else I can use this in?!
I was going to suggest peanut cookies (Lorraine Pascal has some in her first book) though I've seen someone else suggested that.Sainsbury's had the free puddings in.................so got 5, saves going back.Lunch - just made drop scones for the first time and impressed myself! Used the Mary Berry recipe and they came out perfectly - says in the book they freeze well so I have a good batch to go in for a later dateI had a half used bottle of maple syrup and that goes well with them.
Bit annoyed with myself though as went to put the plain flour I got this morning in the cupboard and found another pack already in there... thought it was a spare SR flour, so now I'm almost out of SR and have 2 packs of plain
I like the sound of those, might have to invest in the book! I always buy flour and then get home and realise it's the same one.0 -
Lipstick, looks nice quality and I love organic veg - ok for £6 as you say but not at full price. Looks quite clean compared to what comes home from my allotment!
V4m, I like squash soup, butternut anyway but I just can't get pumpkin soup right!! It lacks flavour and consistency.. I did eat it for lunch, was bearable with the naan but not enjoyable really..
Lynsey, I kept meaning to ask what the yeast glitch was all about - I normally get the Dove's Farm yeast.0 -

Glitch HERE
Finished now as they have corrected the price.
I'm now the proud owner of 72 sachets (12 boxes of 6) all for £1.68 delivered!!
The postage must have cost more than that. lol
Exp. 12/13 so long date, I'll donate most of it.

Irrelevant now as the date has gone, but I thought you could only use one per person per shop on these. I didn't get to use them in the end as I didn't go near Sainsbob

I've still not used the peanut butter but you've reminded me I must do something with it! I've never watched Lorraine Pascal, she looks a bit 'simpering' but maybe I'm wrong! I thought she might annoy me like Nigella!
The Mary Berry books are my most used cookbooks as everything always turns out perfectly from her recipes and with not too much faffing. The Baking Bible is quite cheap on Amazon and I also have the complete cookbook though that has just been relaunched, I have the older version, can recommend though.0 -

That's right. I used 3 laptops/netbooks to get 5 coupons (1 messed up) - 2 per laptop.
Initially I put one through and then the Guy and Girl on checkouts put the rest through in 2 transactions - worked OK, though I did ask if they had to be put through individually.
You never missed much TBH, very nice though, but very small.
Good job they were free, they'll never sell at £1.19!!
