Morning.
Hope you all got your roses. lol
Feeling a bit tired this morning and was last night.
Thanks for your doggie story bramble1, hubby had a similar one years ago when the dog took the steaks off a plate on a table!! Couldn't have been 50p "whoopsie" sausages!!!!
Bacon sandwiches today for breakfast with possibly an egg.
Took out a Sainsbury's Just Cook Chicken en Croute I got for 99p for our "Valentines" dinner. I'll leave the £4 sticker on and discreetly leave the box on show. lol
Need some cream or ice cream, so may pop out later. If I go to Lidl I might find out what my weekend meat offer will be - hope to God it's not the sausages!
Hope all are well and recovering and hope Lip_Stick has recovered from her bad Saturday.

Gailey, some good soap powders/liquid offers on at Morries until 4th March and if you have or can get the £1 coupons, it's stock up time.
Sainsbury's will have the Comfort Pure on for £1 (750ml - 21 wash) for £1 and only 25p with 75p coupon if you have it - again stock up time, get a years supply for pence.
Sorry, printer problem for yourself, can you get someone to print a few??
Once you have you "stash" you can forget about laundry products for quite a while.

Hi all.
Thanks for the kind words Gailey and Lynsey. x
Decided to make my lentil and bacon casserole for tea tonight. Not sure whether to have it with my McCain baked spuds or get some nice garlic bread. I'm thinking the garlic bread... and it's making me hungry! Will probably have a cuppa soup for dinner, need to buy more.
Will have to check out those coupons Lynsey. I need to stock up on washing items, although the nearest Sainsbury's is too far for me.lol at the £4 sticker on display. It'll taste a lot better for you, knowing you paid 99p for it.
My 24 cans of baked beans arrived yesterday. I need to find a space for those! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
If anyone did the Groupon glitch last month, check you emails. Got £8 credit yesterday - must be 20 days from registering.

driving me mad having no working printer think persuade hubby must invest in one this week.
lipstick-that casserole sounds interesting you got the recipie? is it very lentily as hubby only likes if hidden as use red lentils to bulk out mince.
popped head in freezer have
3packs of mince
3packs of diced beef left.
but 2-3 of both are tiny so for hubby would use 2 so basically another 4meals out of what I have and probably least 6-8 maybe 10serving portions at a push depending what I cook.
Family seem bit sock of spag bol and chilli so might get a taco mix.
or do a big lasagne.
we are low on milk down to last 2half pints which proably sounds like loads to most people , cant afford to replace until tommorow did check spar for reduced milk but nothing.
My 2half year old already had her cereal and 1 bottle milk this morning.
shes got bottle now
she will have some butter on toast later
and a yogurt for dessert.
maybe some philadelphia pasta for her tea.
so have poured some milk into 1pint milk bottle 3/4full
toppe dup with milk for her afternoon bottle and night time bottle.
health visitor says need to cut back on her milk shes having too much.
baby is breastfed still.
will puree some frozen veg again later for baby with yogurt for dessert.
At moment they both in cloth but tommorow can afford some pullups for heavy wetting toddler and couple pouches of babys fave food.
Lynsey the soap thing is it fabric conditioner? as rarly use as use cloth nappies and conditioner can affect the absorbancy.
I use washing powder and dare say get double the washes says on the box as dont put as much in.
are the liquids better?
At moment im using value stuff but was going to get box of formil from lidls next week.
feeling bit down that can do anything nice for hubby tonight then thourght ohh what I got
brought butter yesterday
i have eggs and sugar
defrosting beef which will cook in butter and flour and add gravy and make mini pies to go with the reduced potatoes brought last night and frozen peas.
For dessert as not got any choc or cocoa powder going to try doing a coffee cake with crushed leftover nuts from xmas on.
for starter going to try making french onion soup with reduced crusty bread torn up as croutons..
will make a card
give the house a good tidy
get the kids in bed.
no booze but never mind wills till enjoy ourselves will put the value squash on ice!
need bit of advice on stockpiling.
Like I say I have young family and snacking hubby who like their treats which I try to keep to min or least get as cheap as possible.
Stopped buying cake bars as dont last 5mins so now make fairy cakes or flapjacks.
I do buy cereal bars
they get cheap value choc or reduced 2-3times a week.
yogurts and occasional choc mouse for dessert.
icecream 2times a week maybe more in summer.
crisps 1pack day max if that always in lunchbox or on weekend sandwich with half bag crisps on side
they all healthy and not at all overweight.
My dillemma is biscuits.
The nice biscuits like foxes crunch creams or cookies dont last long
bourabns last a bit longer.
last 6months been buying custard creams and malted milk as they nice but not so nice family eats loads would say hubby and girls would have 1-2small custard creams a day as a snack.
I dont eat them myself.
The value biscuits been going up they now 45-50p single pack about 10biscuits so 5p per biscuit.
last month half spar has had in clearance section foxes triple cream selection with malted milk creams and custard creams from £1 down to 50p then inside 3packs of biscuits , 30biscuits in total 1.66p per biscuit.
been buying steady supply and keep thinking thats the lot its cleared.
brought 2packs nearly 2weeks ago and still 1pack left.
today theres more in 12packs on shelf wondering if go in tommorow and snap the lot up. would cost£6.
They dated until end of july and its multipack so inside each 10 indivdually wrapped in plastic.
I think £6 would last us until july as spend about 2-3quid amonth on value version.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

Gailey, yes the Comfort Pure is a fabric conditioner - cheap though at 25p per bottle. I got loads from ASDA last year when it was free!!
I prefer powder as I'm "old fashioned", but still use the liquid, does the same thing. Agree, you don't need what they tell you.
You really do need the printer though, or get someone to print for you - you'll save a lot, lot more than the cost of printer and consumables.
Did you not try and download the software for yours??
Catch up later.............off to sign up another email account.

gailey your really trying really hard, can i ask what your opinion is on value meat? we are a family of 5 one in nappies and use a shocking amount of milk aswell so i feel your pain, we use value mince but as a bulk it out with so much veg it doesn't bother us that it's a lower quality.
instead of biscuits you could make buns and cakes instead fairy are very cheap and versitle, you can fill them with buttercream, ice them, put jam in the middle, put jam on top, put jam and coconut on top (my kids school does this i'd never seen it before)
tray bakes are cheap, carrot cake is nice if they'll eat it as is flapjacks (i make mine with value oats) i do 90% of my baking with value marge so very very cheap.
i prefer laundry liquid i think it smells stronger or else i'd use fabric condition, i only use fabric condition on bedding and towels at the moment (i'm still using the ones i got on dtd lol) i use surf liquid because i can get it on offer in makro a few times a year so i stock up, it's worth checking amazon i have daz liquid that was cheaper than value, and i have fairy liquid that was cheaper than own brand, and cream cleaner that was cheaper than value but you need to keep checking.
it took me ages to catch up on this thread because the kids have been ill, ones at school today and ones homestocked my freezer up on reduced bread again yesterday it's fit to burst, lidl have bread at 2 for £1 so i'll go get some on sunday and get enough to last me all next week, pity my freezers so full that would be a nice cheap filler to stop me buying so much. not even going to go to tesco on the way home from the hospital tomorrow even if it is the fab whoopsie one
breakfast today was toast, bananas, kiwi's and yogurts, lunch was cheese sandwichs for the kids, and i made an egg and cheese sandwich filler for me which will last the week, i had reduced stirfry but i didn't fancy it so will try sqeeze that in the freezer aswell, dinner will be something quick for the kids possibly fishfingers, me and hubby are having steak and chips, i'm maybe going to make onion rings aswell i'm undecidedDEC GC £463.67/£450
