I have 10 tins of baked beans in the cupboard. Today, I have found 2 tuppaware boxes with half a tin of beans. What was I doing opening a tin of baked beans, box half up to find I had another tub stashed in the freezer? I could have put something more useful in that space.

Tonight its baked beans (one of the tubs from the freezer) on crumpets. Putting a poached egg on top of each crumpet as well.

Shepherds pie tomorrow, got to get rid of those potatoes!!!!!!!
Had some sauteed in olive oil today with the liver and bacon.

    Nothing spent on groceries today.

Got two packs of pork mince I need used, I usually make bolognese with it for a difference. Anyone got a decent alternative recipe for pork mince??
I was thinking of a meat loaf??

I always buy the large tins of baked beans as its more MSE. I always have half a tin at a time. If I don't eat the other half after 4 days, I put them in the freezer. Just need to take them out the freezer 4 hours before using them.

    I beg your pardon. :D

I could do meatballs in a tomato sauce.

TBH, pork mince is something I don't normall buy, I just buy beef and lamb mince and rarely turkey mince.................but when a bargain is on offer.

I'm sure I mixed it with a packet of stuffing mix, chopped onion and an egg and made a meat loaf last time?? Probably from the old link??

Pork and apple burgers is a possibility??

I'm back! With my tail between my legs :(
I got lots of whoopsies this weekend but alot Of it was quorn for my veggie sister. I'm a good sister really.
But I did get a few for us. Well, for my little girl. Thinking this week I'm going to make a start on my colossal rice lentil and dal collection. Plenty of frozen whoopsie fish so I might even lose a little weight this week which I am in desperate need of!!
This weekend apart from my one whoopsie shop (I only went for fruit and veg!) I think I've been really good. Ate out sat day thanks to mil. And I've depleted some of my frozen bread supply!!
Today is crumpets for brekkie, probably stir fry for lunch then rice dal and lentils with some fish for tea followed by..... (drumroll....)......
    ......
    Jelly!!! Lol!

Yes, you can. With baked beans, half a tin is about 200-220g, so I would freeze them in pots of 2-3 servings, enough for a week. Just spoon out what you want to reheat.
