I'm eating out of the freezer and cupboards challenge

  • Ate leftover cottage pie for tea last night and it wasn't nice - I re-heated it in the oven and it got really overdone. DD1 was out for tea so that was okay but DD2 moaned that much that in the end I gave in and let her walk around the corner to the chip shop where she got herself sweet and sour chicken and chips. Have you seen how much chippy food costs now? I was HORRIFIED!! IT was £6.30 for the sweet and sour - It is so long since I bought it I thought it would be about £3.

Have got some steak out for tea and have onions, mushrooms and potatoes to go with so that's okay.

Can I come around to your house for tea??
If yes, I'll just put the pork chops in the bin. lol

Love steak and onions, one of those combinations that go really well together.

    Enjoy, I know I would. DD's shouldn't complain tonight. :D

Just got back from Asda and I am a failure, my freezer and cupboards are full again. I swear I need it all, honest. Well, maybe not the own-brand Cornettos that fell in my trolley. Or the Hagen Daaz. :o

i find that amazing as well. the ice cream and meat can always open the freezer doors and magically jump ito the nearest trolley (minE). do you think they get trained somewhere?

Like the last time I have a freezer surprise meal.
Took a bag out of the freezer in the morning, saw a nice looking prawn, so it must have been some kind of curry. Right?
WRONG that prawn turned out to be a carrot, and it was a veg stew, still good but I had been looking forward to that prawn something all day!

were having chicken casarole and baby new taties with tinned sweetcorn for tea, and i'm cooking a chicken fillet to go in some frozen value pittas in the freezer for tomorrows lunch :)

todays lunch was a Mc'd's ok not great and it cost £12!! but one of the kids wanted it seemed easier than fighting all afternoon lol

oh brought home 6 huge fish lastnight so were going to be battering them tonight, however he wants me to go buy beer for it i'm not that keen because it will mean buying beer which we never buy lol, also the kids will be eating it, does beer batter work the same way as when you do steak in red wine? where all the alcohol evaporates? either way i'm gonna suggest a normal batter

You know I don't know about that, I'd assume so because the head chef at work called me for moaning about not being able to eat beer battered food when I was pregnant. But he hates me so it might jut of been that too :A
