well i popped into tesco, shopping with a blind freind, honest. and we got hit by a thunderstorm.:eek: i wasnt getting soaked in the rain, and the guide dog wasnt to keen on the claps of thunder either. so we decied to stroll around tesco :o seriously bad idea. i blame mother nature. if there wasnt a thunderstorm i would not have brought the extra shopping

evening all, i have enjoyed reading all your posts, and I can completely relate to all this hoarding!! I need to run my freezer down, but more importantly, my cupboards have so many tins and packets! So I will join you if I may, had some fish fingers for tea, with potatoes from the garden (yum!) and beans, so one more space in the freezer, and one less tin in the cupboard! ;)

  • Went to get my squash and washing up liquid from ALDI, proud I got nothing else. Defrosted a beef joint, had roast and there is plenty for sandwiches for the rest of week (thank goodness for the food slicer!) Spent the day sorting the garage, found a home for my stash in a cabinet I have in there, much cleaner now. Going to defrost some pasties that I got from the Tesco finest DTD deal, been putting it off as not great reviews. Will make some chips to go with for tomorrows tea. Hope everyone is having luck with their challenge!

    I've been Money Tipped!
The birds won't even eat the bread. lol
Cheeky b*****s are tapping on the window and shouting at me to add less water next time!!!!!!! :rotfl:

Went out late to Morries and got some bread, some reduced cheese and onion muffins, reduced fruit loaf, reduced pies and pasties and just for the birds, a 9p large french stick. They aren't getting it until they eat my "lovely" home-made bread first though.

Still only £1.76 spent and that's on top of the £1.98 on the lamb chops on Sunday, so good week so far with only £3.74 spent. :j :money:
Pork chops (instead of lamb) today, grilled with pineapple and home-made wedgers and sweetcorn. Might save back a little french stick (sorry birdies) and make some garlic bread slices.

Eating out tomorrow, so only breakfast and snacks needed. Maybe some more milk and possibly some Wrights bread mixes.

lynsey, your poor birds. it comes to something when the birds refuse to eat your soggy bread ;)

i went to tesco to get some 7p t-bags. and only brought the local paper as well. well pleased with myself. maybe i am retraining myself? or by getting the cheap t-bags, i supressed the need to shop?

I'm zebsub the husband for the tea bags. Easiest option because he's such a poor shopper! I will make him check for more roses tho lol. Thinking I can add them to some snowman soup packages this Xmas!
