  • :snow_laug Freezing cold here this morning. Its Friday so out shopping with parents tonight so the family can have jacket potatoes with cheese for their tea.

Fancy a nice, comforting pud tonight as its so chilly so may get out one of my christmas puds from AP foods a few weeks ago and have it with custard.

Think I'll plan ahead and defrost some chicken pieces from freezer to whack in the slowcooker tomorrow morning so I can make a thick chicken stew and dumplings. Then I'm free to go out and about all day and dinner will be ready. :D

We got takeaway yesteday......We went out and dinner would have taken forever to cook, so we're having a late lunch/early dinner with the chicken tonight instead.

I think i need to do a food shop, we've got stuff in the freezer, but so much of it is junk i just don't want to eat it all the time.

We had some eggs that are due to go off for breakfast with some toast.

Tea is in the oven, so the chicken WILL get used today.

I've had a rock bun as a snack, found a stash in the freezer :)

Will cook the pizza for lunch tomorrow i think, going on a brewery tour in the afternoon, so need something good to line my stomach!

I really must try and utilize our freezer more. All that's in it at the moment is bread and my homemade soups. I really want to get stocking up on meat when I find it cheap. (Not that you find it that cheap these days!) Anybody got any pointers on getting started with freezing stuff?
  • Do check out the Lidl weekend offers.
It's minced steak this weekend and I'm sure we've all got plenty of the pork from the last few weeks! It's lovely meat and freezes well too.

My freezer is a bit of a state at the moment,, but usually when there are good meat offers on i like to stock up as much as possible. Lidl offers and whoopsied sainsburys bits and pieces are mostly what you'd find in mine.
